Yellow Tail Sashimi is pure mouth nirvana along with Rastaman roll at the top.

Sushi Nami for years has been my favorite neighborhood sushi place. It is always fresh. I've never been disappointed with the sashimi. There's no comparison.

Went to Sushi Nami for lunch for the first time today. Very confusing entrance because it's literally on the backside of another sushi restaurant. The atmosphere was nice but very quiet. Only two other customers in the restaurant at 1:30 when we went in. Server was nice and helpful. Food was good. I had two rolls and my wife had a Bento Box. Quality was good but still after living on the West Coast for 25 years not as good as the sushi I'm used to. I had a roll that was a "daily special" called a King Roll and it was excellent. Some of the better sushi I've had in the area and will be back.

Restaurant was fairly clean. I sat at the sushi bar and the Itamae (sushi chef) was very helpful. Nice crisp fresh salad with that great ginger salad dressing. I got the rainbow roll per Itamae's recommendation. It was very fresh contrary to some reviews.

If you think you've seen what Georgia has to offer in sushi, think again. Walking into Sushi Nami is like finding an artist's loft built just for the senses--every plate arriving from the kitchen feels like a stroke of culinary genius, meant to be admired just as much as it's meant to be devoured. Amid the gentle bustle, regulars know to begin with miso soup--a simple bowl of seaweed, tofu, and scallion that comforts and prepares you for the artistry to come. The experience grows with each course: crisp shrimp and vegetable tempura, delicately fried soft shell crab, and plump edamame deliver satisfying contrasts. Watch as the chefs craft the Rainbow Roll, Spider Roll, or Fire Dragon Roll, layering colors and textures into edible masterpieces, while the sashimi appetizer and chirashi sushi showcase the fresh elegance that has made Sushi Nami famous in Alpharetta. Longtime guests tell stories of celebrations and quiet evenings at the sushi bar, mesmerized by hands assembling each specialty roll--tuna, salmon, yellowtail and more, painted with avocado, tobiko, and sauces in a way that guests say resembles a contemporary artwork. Whether it's a loaded bento box with chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura, California roll, fried dumplings, or a final sweet bite of mochi ice cream, every detail shows love. Of course, it's all under the watchful care of owner Jae, whose presence and leadership help make Sushi Nami welcoming and memorable for every visitor. Here, you're not just served sushi--you're treated to a gallery of taste and beauty, where every bite is rich in flavor and every visit carries the best of Georgia's sushi spirit.

We order food to-go in person and the staff were so friendly. They offered us water and had us sit while we waited. We got the food and it was wrapped up very nicely. The food was so delicious and so yummy. The ambiance was nice, perfect for a date night.

First time here. OVERALL 8/10. FOOD large portions but the sushi isn't too fresh. Sushi was slightly salty, and unfortunately ai did get sick later that evening. 7.5/10 The bang bang shrimp didn't have flavor frfr, it was just spicy honestly. SERVICE: Mary was our server, she was super sweet 10/10. The host was also friendly and helpful with us trying to locate the restaurant. AESTHETIC: 9/10.

I have seen this restaurant for years but never went in. I decided to check it out today and regret it deeply. SERVICE: there was a Korean lady who greeted us to our seats. We noticed that she was the main greeter and another young guy nonchalantly served as the solo waiter. It took a while for our orders to be taken, water and miso soup to come out. It was so slow! (11:30am Friday). Not once, were we asked if we needed something (I had to get up to ask the lady for some more ginger). Our water was refilled ONLY as the plates were being picked up and I was paying ‍. FOOD: $$$ for one star eating food. The sushi D lunch menu came with crunch roll which consisted of tuna + panko on the inside. Heavy on the crunch. It was so dry that I had to eat it with additional rice (compliments of the very disproportionally served Tonkatsu). The salmon and squid nigiri were the only reason why this review bumped it up to 2 stars. The tonkatsu (as pictured) was so incredibly disappointing. The size of it looked similar to that of a kids menu portion with 1.5cups of rice + so much sauce. The meat was heavily salted, overcooked-- not worth $18. It came out cold, not crunchy. AMBIANCE: the restaurant is pretty inside but very disorganized in the back. On the way to the restroom, there were boxes/supplies stacked messily along the walls. It makes me wonder what the back kitchen looks like. The tables were very sticky and I never noticed any of the workers cleaning the tables. We will NOT be going back. It is hard to see how this institution has 4+ stars. Please save your money and check out other Japanese restaurants with better service, value and taste. --------- At the end, the lady asked how everything was -- my husband and I said that it was not the best. She proceeded to laugh.... And trust me, it was not a language barrier as we speak the same language. -------

Love, love, love the sushi experience here! Have been coming since we moved up from Atlanta bemoaning leaving our cherished sushi restaurant behind- but NO! This has become our go to celebration, take our out of town friends to or it's Saturday and why not? The staff is great, cannot say enough, try parking on the other side of the building, shorter walk and less competitive for spaces.

I love the food and dessert here. The sushi dishes look fun and taste great. I also like the cocktails here.

Tommy sunset roll, sub avocado for salmon topping

The location is right off Winward parkway, in a joint building with Volcano Asian bistro. The interior is a very nice modern zen decor. The tables and sushi bar are all made from a rustic dark stained wood finish. The lighting is simple yet calm. The music is smooth and jazzy. We came on a Saturday night without a reservation and sat at the sushi bar. We were seated and had our orders in in under 5 minutes. The server was very kind and made several recommendations for our order. We got our appetizers and drinks, to include our sushi, almost immediately. The tommy sunset sushi roll with subbed avocado had the creaminess of avocado, the savoriness of sushi, and the sweet tartness of lemon. Very good. The chicken teriyaki dinner came steaming hot and looked and tasted amazing, and the yaki soba with garlic steak substituted was divine. All in all, they earned every one of the 5 stars that we gave them.

This spot did not disappoint. They had a great selection of cooked rolls and other items, which made it easy for her to find plenty of things she could enjoy. She absolutely loved it and is already talking about coming back after the baby arrives so she can try some of the other sushi options they offer. And when they say "revolving," they're not kidding. The sushi continuously moves throughout the restaurant, and you simply grab what you want and pay based on the plates you select. It was a fun experience, especially since it was our first time visiting. The restaurant has plenty of seating, and we arrived just before the dinner rush, which worked out perfectly. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff was very helpful. Our waitress took the time to explain how everything worked and made sure we were comfortable throughout the visit. Overall, this was a great experience. More importantly, my wife enjoyed herself, which was the whole reason for the visit. We have nothing negative to say about this location and will definitely be back in the future.
