I moved to Cary about 18 months ago. Nail Rustique was the most convenient nail salon. I get a manicure and pedicure every 4 to 6 weeks. I had used a technician named Julie last time I was there and she did a great job. I called today for an appointment with Julie and was told she was not available. The person I spoke with was not fluent in English. I went: Hoping for the best. First of all, there was only customer in the place at 3 p.m. Then the quasi-manager assigned a male technician. I told her I prefer a woman, because men are too rough. I was assured that this guy was gentle; no problem. My bad: I should have walked out right then. The manicurist spoke only a few words of English. The pedicure went ok, but the manicure not so much. He did not do a good job AND WAIT FOR IT, cut the cuticle on my thumb so badly that it bled A LOT. By this point, I just wanted to get the heck out of there. I love paying $100 to be wounded while getting a BAD manicure. On the way out, I asked the quasi-manager what is going on, and why can't I get Julie to do my nails? The actual situation is that the business has been sold and all of the previous employees quit. That is why no Julie and no customers. DON'T USE THIS PLACE. And to the new owner: hey, you are doing a great job: no employees and no customers. Unless you plan to use the place to launder money, you have some material issues to deal with; one of which is that I will take you to small claims court if my finger gets infected and I need to see a doctor. I had the most relaxing nail spa experience at Nail Rustique. I followed my favorite nail tech Kaylin from another local spa and I'm so glad she moved here. I visited today for a Green Tea Spa pedicure & SNS Dip powder manicure service. Each service was perfection. Upon arrival, the manager greeted me kindly, seated me and offered me a beverage from the bar. I had a glass of white wine. The wine really relaxed me in preparation for my pedicure. Kaylin is very meticulous and always has a positive and uplifting spirit. I enjoyed the hot stone massage. My feet and nails look amazing. Unfortunately I had a very bad experience here. "Callus removal" on the pedi was just a light brush with a pumice stove and there was an up charge for that. The manicure my cuticles were not soaked, no lotion or massage, and did not clean the dirt from under the nails. My four year old daughter could have done a better job with the polish. This whole experience was such a huge waste of money. I won't be back and will be telling people to stay away. Terrible. read more

This is a new salon by Monica and she has owned many other salons in the area. The decor is simply beautiful. There are numerous chairs and stations and no wait when I went . I had a basic pedicure for $35 and it was wonderful- the paint did not peel or have issues drying like at some places. They are also open on Sundays. Tony takes great care of the clients, the salon is expansive & very clean. As a new resident to Cary I tried a couple salons was disappointed because my nails are pink and white which is not a French manicure. They're rounded to.look very natural and I actually received compliments quite often when I'm out in public how pretty my nails look. They have the multiple lines of polish, including OPI. They have several different styles of manicures and pedicures and really a full service reasonable nail salon. Did dip on my hands polish on my toes. The polish must have been bad because all the color rubbed off by the time I was home. And the nails must have dried with ample time. Both my daughter and I went. Clearly that polish was either old or mixed with acetone. The dip nail polish also cracked on the tip after the second day. Wow. Probably one of the most overpriced experiences my mom and I have ever had. Her and I love to get our nails done together and have a "Mom & Daughter" day. What a waste of time and money. We got the most expensive pedicure and it was completely rushed through, and in the middle of my moms pedicure the lady got up to start on another client. The massage was maybe 3 minutes if that, and was completely rushed. My mom also can't have nail polish on for work but wanted a manicure, buff, and shine to her nails. The lady just rushed through and filed the top, didn't cut down or anything, and that cost just about $20. Absolutely ridiculous. Won't be returning. read more

I recently started getting my nails done again after taking a break to let them recover from gel-x. This place happens to be about 5 minutes from where I live, so I figured I'd give it a try. First of all, they often fit me in at a moment's notice and at the end of the day, which is so nice. I'm very busy, and scheduling ahead can be a challenge for me, so I appreciate their ability to squeeze me in. The service is also tremendous. I always go in thinking I'll get a basic pedi but end up upgrading to one with hot stones or a aromatherapy soak because I enjoy it so much. The techs are always very friendly and professional; I always feel well taken care of. This place will become part of my ritual every two weeks! It truly is a gem. read more

Amazing experience. Wonderful customer service & attention. The actual salon is beautiful & clean. Plus complimentary beverages (mimosas!!). My daughter & I went to celebrate her friends birthday. They have two adorable kid chairs for the girls but what is even better is the kids corner!! After the girls nails were done they played quietly in the corner while the moms got their nails painted. Very new salon that just opened by Publix in Cary. Super convenient to my Morrisville address. The salon is gorgeous! Beautifully decorated and a great, relaxing atmosphere. Everyone was very attentive the moment I walked in. I have dip nails, and my technician, Mimosa, did a great job shaping my nails and applying the dip so that it looked thin and natural on my nails. There is an additional charge for removing the old dip, but I was okay with that given the great job they did from beginning to end. My new go-to salon in the area! Love it! read more

This place is nice and always clean. When I first started coming last year. I Loved it. Roxanne was my nail technician and she was absolutely amazing. I wouldn't let anyone else touch my toes but her. She deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, She didn't come back after the slow season and it's evident that I need to find a new nail salon. I came in for a color change on my toes and was serviced by one of the older ladies. I picked a color (gel polish) from their book but when she brought it out it looked nothing like the color I picked so I asked her to change it. She immediately caught a attitude and said something in her native tongue to her colleague. I picked a pretty white gel color but she gave me a standard white regular polish. Not in the mood to argue after a long day of work I let it be. She was Very rude. Tony (the manager I assume) finished my toes as she went to do another customer's pedicure. No apology, no nothing. I asked him to fixed the polish on the toes she had already done because they were rushed and were not up to my standards. He told me to relax since it was only the first coat. He never fixed the other toes. Just polished over them. This nail salon is convenient since it's close by my house but I'll drive further away for better customer service. Nail Rustique used to be my "go to" salon in the area. The space is clean and inviting, plus the location is great. I've always had great service performed by Jane and Lynn. Today, however, the female technician I was paired with completely ruined the vibe for me. I was made to feel shitty and disrespected, like a child being reprimanded. It took a lot for me to hold it together, but I remained cordial and did not once did I give her a reason to spew such nastiness towards me. This is what happened, I arrived with a friend and asked for a gel manicure. This technician recommended dip powder since my nails were short and weak. I took her recommendation and mentioned the color I wanted. I had picked out a color off of the color palette, but when the color was applied, she immediately noticed that the sample looked nothing like the actual color that came out, so she removed it. Then, she recommended a different color that she really liked on another customer. When hesitated to agree with her that it looked great, she removed the powder while complaining that this is hard to remove, so I told her that I'd keep that color (TO APPEASE HER!) and then she threw a tantrum saying that she wanted me to walk out of here liking the color (and started talking shit about me in her native language, which I happened to understand!). Then, very abruptly, she had the male technician (Tony), who was in the middle of servicing another client, switch places with her. This not only disrupted my service, but also the nice patron he was working with, I felt terrible. I will be sure to share my awful experience with the few friends I typically frequent this salon with. Never again! read more
