I have never written a review before, whether my experience was good or bad, but this man infuriated me so much that here goes. I am extremely disappointed in the manner in which I was treated, by the man whom I believe is the owner's son, when I called to advise them that my very expensive gown fell apart at my son's wedding, even before the ceremony started and continued to unravel as the night went on. The swirl design which goes throughout the tool on the bottom of the gown was trailing behind me as I walked down the aisle. This should NOT have happened. He basically said, in a condescending voice, "nothing we could do about it, you must have done something to it after you took it home." Not even an apology which would have made some kind of a difference. That is no way to run a business. Not to mention another time when I brought the shawl to him for the beading to be fixed and nothing had been done to it. Why is he even there! I would NEVER recommend this shop to anyone. read more

Overall, I cannot recommend this place to bridal parties. My biggest challenge was the lackadaisical service which eventually led to them ordering me a dress that was WAY too big, as in 3 sizes too big yielding a series of 4 fittings and exorbitant costs to remake the dress elsewhere. There are better/nicer places where the staff will work more closely with the folks in the bridal party than this place. While the staff were nice enough, they weren't as helpful as I would have hoped. We came in with specific ideas, but they left us on our own to find things. It would have been nice if they worked with us and our body types to help us find the best fits for each of us since we were all wearing something different, but similar in color. The biggest challenge is the size they suggested for me. When the woman said what size she thought I was, I was surprised, and she said that I have to remember these dresses run small. I asked to see the sizing chart for the vendor and it also didnt match up to the size they told me to get. To me, their recommended size was 3 sizes up from what I normally wear.... so lo and behold it came in, and I have to have had to have it altered 2 sizes down. If you have to come here, as there arent many places in this area, do your homework ahead of time and plan on helping yourself, and watch the measurements. read more

Maria is the only good this place has to offer. Tina's was the second place I went wedding dress shopping. I had not had much luck. Maria was patient but also pulled dresses for me that I may not have chosen myself. I found THE ONE. Maria informed me that alterations would not be extra and while it would be ordered larger they would customize it to my body. If that sounds too good to be true it's because it was..... Fast forward to my fittings: the seamstress is so incredibly rude and hard to work with. Her quality of work is crap. Maria was not there for the first few. The first fitting the dress was literally a sack. It was too big everywhere. The second fitting they had fixed the bottom but the top was still HUGE. By the third fitting, I was getting upset. My mom and I both advocated to make this dress look presentable. The seamstress was so upset that we were asking her to change the "structure of the dress". You ordered my dress huge and neglected to tell me that you planned to not take it in everywhere. They wanted to just add cups......seriously? The work was shotty and there was a seam showing at the bust that they told us they would fix twice and never fixed. They were unfriendly and the quality of work was terrible. We finally went somewhere else and bought a new dress. When we called Tina's to tell them there was no attempt to remedy it. It was like they didn't care. Not worth the headache. Stay far away from this place!! I ended up with a dress that I could wear and was forced to pay for. Maria not only lied about the color of the dress, but also said the dress could be customized and she would show me a sketch. Well, I never saw the sketch, they did whatever they wanted with the dress, and it came out horrible. I had to buy a whole different dress from another store and pay for both. I went here to try on a bridesmaid dress my friends had already tried on so I can determine my size. The bride-to-be wanted to place the order all together with everyone's sizes but the lady was SOO RUDE. She refused to measure me or even clip the size:14 dress I had on. I was going to order my dress separately but after how rude this woman was I wont even go there to have it altered. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! Go anywhere but Tina's Bridal. P.S. If I could give no stars I would. I can't even remember the woman's name because she infuriated me so much. from the moment I walked in she was rude. I told her my wedding was next year and she told me it's too early in the rudest way possible. Every dress I looked at she gave a rude comment. Every rack I looked at she had an issue with from getting in new styles to "those are clearance so they probably won't fit you" She wouldn't allow me to go upstairs because there was another bride there.... she continuously mentioned that she is a bridal expert for so many years and she designs the dresses and how she just got married so she knows blah blah blah.. no one cares about your achievements. We are here to enjoy and look. Women are coming excited to look at dresses and she made it an awful experience from the moment it started. It's surprising this place is still open with an employee like her because she can run clients away. Since David's bridal is down the block, I looked(didn't buy) but they were friendly, helpful, and offered to set up an appointment. Stay clear of this place if you want a happy fun experience. My friend also got her dress there last year (she warned me how rude the lady was, didn't think this bad) but her dress buttons popped before the ceremony even started, she was devastated. read more

I really would have liked to give this place a better star-rating but after my total experience and the experiences of other people in the bridal party I was in, I can't give it much more. Here are the good things: the people who work there are very, very nice. Each time I went (and it was many between looking for a bridesmaid dress, getting measured, ordering the dress, and doing multiple fittings) everyone was very nice and tried to be helpful. The location was also very good for me; only 20 minutes from home and right off the highway. I have been in other weddings where I had to drive down to central jersey to pick up the dress so it was nice that this was conveniently located. Ok, so the problems....first, it seems like some of the employees are not communicating amongst each other and/or are just not good at their job. When the bride and I went there to look for dresses, the bride found the bridesmaid dress that she wanted us all in & was told that the dress would come in the color she requested. Then, when I went back to get measured and order the dress (without the bride) the employee told me that the color the bride wanted doesn't actually come in that dress. The bride picked this dress because she wanted it in the specific color that she thought it would be in. (And she didnt want to change colors). So, just as we are ready to order the bridesmaid dresses, we had to search all over again for a new dress in the color the bride wanted. Now, I will give the salon this - they offered to make the dress themselves instead of ordering through the vendor. But at that point, I dont think the bride wanted to risk it. She quickly picked another dress in the color she wanted and the dresses came in pretty quickly after that. When i went for my fitting, I was less than impressed with the seamstress. She pinned the straps to tighten them, did the hem and said we were done. I had to point out to her that the sides of the dress were way to loose and needed to be taken in. In my opinion, i should never have to tell a seamstress that. In fact, this was the only time where I had to give instructions - usually a seamstress knows what to do. When i went back, one of the straps was still loose so she pinned it again to sew it tighter. Unfortunately, i did not try on the dress again when i picked it up and she either didnt actually tighten the strap or she didnt do it enough b/c it kept falling off my shoulder. I used double sided tape to get it to stick long enough that it didnt fall as i walked down the aisle. The bride had separately ordered sashes to be sewn on the dress. The bride was paying for this part of the alteration herself and they were supposed to be sewn on all of the dresses. But when another bridesmaid went to pick up her dress to bring it somewhere else to be altered, the sash wasnt on and the employee told her that she HAD to have the alterations done there for them to sew it on. That made no sense so she just took the dress and the sash and had her own tailor do it. (Again, i think there was some kind of miscommunication on the employees' part). Finally, the maid of honor went to pick up her dress after the alterations were complete and there was a spot on it. Thankfully, they were able to get it out by steaming it but she had to wait while they were doing that and she ended up being late for rehearsal dinner because she was waiting for them to fix the dress. I paid $247 for the bridesmaid dress plus $50 for the alterations. I personally thought $50 was high for alterations because i have used my own seamstress for other bridesmaid dresses and she has charged me $25-30 for doing very similar work (hem, straps, sides). I was also slighly annoyed about how much I spent since by the time we got done with cocktail hour, my hem had fallen and i was tripping over myself. We ended up tearing off the bottom of the dress so i would stop tripping. My recommendation is to use another place for alterations. It really wasn't worth it. The dress was decently priced (for a NON David's bridal dress) but I think the alterations were a rip off. read more

Should've read the other reviews before we went! We made an appt to see a specific line and dress that the woman told us they carried. Got there and not only did they never carry that dress but the woman was extremely rude and snippy. Cut me off every time I tried to speak and never even checked on us. Hello I'm the BRIDE! I came here because after working at David's bridal you've seen every dress picked multiple times and I was looking for something different. I came with my two sisters-in-law and really didn't get much help. I am pretty self-sufficient so that was ok, but everything that the consultant pulled was way above what i felt comfortable asking my bridesmaids to spend. After finding one that we all really liked I realized it was almost the exact same dress at David's Bridal and was double the price here. So we ended up going across the street to David's and getting the dress for even cheaper because they were having a bridesmaids promotion. When we went searching for a dress there, we were the only ones in place and we got to take our time and had a lot of input and found a dress that was perfect for me. I bought a mother of the groom dress. -the color of the jacket didn't match the color of the dress -when I went back for the 2nd alteration there were grease stains on the front of the dress that were obviously from food, which I guess happened when the seamstress was working while eating -the lace jacket had a rip half way up the back that had been repaired but the seam the repair caused was totally visible on the lace None of the above issues were acknowledged or addressed by the owner, who wouldn't come out of the back room to speak with me until I said I wasn't leaving, and sat down to wait. She finally came out and denied every single issue as if they didn't exist. What a disaster this place is. No bride, mother of the bride, bridesmaid should ever have to deal with this sort of deplorable service. I was not offered any relief or discount and went to my son's wedding in a dress that was just awful because I had run out of time. Terrible! read more

I did buy my dress in a different state since I didn't live here when I got engaged and I shopped around looking for a place that could alter my dress without 1. Ruining it, 2. Not charging me a crazy figure to do what I needed 3. Being polite considering I didn't buy it there and asked them to do the work basically. They were very helpful and didn't even hesitate to help with the work. They did a great job and had the dress steamed for me for right before the wedding. Tina's Bridal is THE BEST bridal salon! At Tina's, only one bride at a time can try on dresses making it a really personal experience for you and your entourage. I went to try on wedding dresses for the first time at Tina's. Maria spent 3 HOURS with me and my crazy family trying on every style of dress to help me figure out exactly what I wanted. After finding a dress online that I really wanted to try on (from a line they don't even carry in the store!), Maria was able to arrange to borrow the sample from the designer so that I could try it on! She went above and beyond to understand what I was looking for and help me find my perfect dress!!! She was present at all of my fittings to make sure that the dress looked exactly how it should. Tina and the seamstresses worked with me throughout my three fittings to make sure the dress fit PERFECTLY. I couldn't have been happier with my dress and my experience at Tina's!!! read more

So much to choose from! The store has a great selection of dresses for the MOB & MOG's! I tried on so many (and I'm a tough size) that my head was spinning. When the dress I wanted was not going to be in in time for the wedding (my bad - I waited too long) Tina called all the manufacturers to find out what she could get in time for the wedding. And we actually found a dress we like BETTER!!! Great selection, great prices and fantastic customer service! Jessie catered to my every need, worked within my budget, and was so pleasant and helpful! I went here for bridesmaid dresses with the bride-to-be, her maid of honor, and my sister. The bride-to-be called the store a month before to book an appointment to shop on a Sunday. The lady told her the store was not open on Sundays, so she booked an appointment for a Saturday (however, the sign on the door said open on Sundays when we got there...). The day of the appointment, the lady there tells us she does not have our appointment written down. Okay, we booked the appointment a month in advance to avoid this. She was rude and said they were really busy but we can try on dresses in the side room. She showed us to a room with a huge hole in the wall. It was disgusting and filthy. I knew immediately when I walked in that I was not going to order a dress from this store just out of fear that the bottom of the dress would touch the carpet in this place and get dirty. It was obvious they have not vacuumed or cleaned the place in 10 years, if ever. I can't believe they run a business like that. We tried on a lot of dresses but did not receive any help AT ALL from any of the saleswomen there. We even had to go ask them for clips because they did not give us any. We were also the only people there for the majority of the time we were there. I definitely would not recommend this filth shop. read more

I was overall pretty disappointed with my experience here. Came all the way from NYC because they had a designer my friend wanted us to wear for her bridal party and took appointments. Not sure what the point of my appointment was because she basically pointed me to a rack and I was on my own. I found clips in the dressing room and my husband had to help me pin the dresses while the sales girls talked in the front room. Eventually I wandered up to the front with the dress I wanted. The girl helping me seemed really confused throughout the process and kept looking at me to pick out the size I wanted (isn't it their job to match the measurements and advise you?). Later I found out she was new, so not really her fault, but other employees were there and no one was overseeing her or helping her. When I got the dress, less than three weeks before the wedding mind you, it was the wrong length. I was supposed to receive a long dress, due to my height and wanting to add a sleeve however they ordered me a short dress. Thank god I planned to hem it (but bye bye sleeves) and it was JUST long enough. If the bride had wanted a gown I would have been screwed. I called to correct the problem (my husband had picked up the dress for me). At first they tried to say the order was supposed to be short, eventually she double checked and found discrepancies in their paperwork. They blamed it on the girl taking my order being new, but come on maybe double check her orders then. I explained I paid extra for the dress to be long and had wanted to add a sleeve. They did refund the extra cost but couldn't do anything about the sleeve as material wouldn't come in time. I'm still kicking myself for not demanding more money back for their mistake. The store itself is extremely dated and filthy (I didn't even want to take my shoes off in the dressing room) as well. I wouldn't recommend. read more

I had a horrible experience at Tina's Bridal! Not only did the woman helping us not let my mom pick out dresses for me but she would make comments like "that will show her belly button" and "that's not good for her stomach". My mom found a dress she wanted me to try on and the woman told her it was way out of our price range. Ok I get it, we told you a range we were looking to stay in, however, if my mom who was paying for my dress wants me to try it regardless of price she should have just let me. They did have a nice selection of dresses so if you get a different woman to help you around the store then go for it but other than that my overall experience was not great. To top all of that off, I was nearing my last dress to try on and she called me a "stuffed sausage" in one I had on. Now, not for nothing but what if I liked this dress?! I would recommend this place to tell their employees to keep their mouths shut before the bride speaks first. Lastly, she asked if we were visiting any other shops in the area after Tina's and I was honest and told her where we were going and she bad mouthed them for at least 15 minutes. I understand its a competitive market, however, in her doing that, I only felt that she was lying. I'm happy I found my dream dress somewhere else and have had nothing but wonderful experiences dealing with the owner and staff since. read more

Horrible!! There was nothing positive I have to say about this store. My daughter and I both purchased our bridesmaids dresses. My mother also bought her Mother of the Bride outfit. The women who measured us was very pleasant on our first encounter. We ordered my dress long and my daughter's dress short. My mother bought a formal pants suit. She informed me my daughter would take a junior bridesmaids 14. I suggested she order her a women's 0 or 2 but I listened to her because she was the professional. Well when the items came in only my dress was ordered correctly!! My daughter's was too tight and the hem was absolutely sewed wrong! My mother is petite and she was swimming in the pants. My dress only needed to be hemmed. We all wore the shoes we are planning on for the day. I was upset with my daughter's but the seamstress told me she could let it out. She also said the hem was crooked because it was pulling. She pinned us and we paid for the dress AND ALTERATIONS and made an appointment for a second fitting. We made a separate appointment for my daughter because we were worried. When we returned my daughters dress was too big!! Huge! And the hem was worst!! The women called Tina herself and she told me the hem was a factory mistake. She said she could hem it but it would cost extra. It may have been a factory mistake but I bought the dress from them. Poor business practice. She altered the dress while we waited. Now the dress fits better but has sloppy seams! So I took it to a local seamstress and have to have the dress fixed for $65. My mother and I returned a week later hoping to have a better experience! We walked in and waited 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged we were there. When we finally were helped they put me in a dressing room and NEVER came back! Not sure what the alteration fee was for because besides the hem that was too long nothing else was done. I had asked for lingerie strap. Nope! My mother put hers on and tripped over the hem. Her pant are so long she pulled them up to her bra line and they were still too long. She paid over $450 to trip! NO ONE helped us!! NOT ONE PERSON even asked " Can we help you!! I had to ask for a bag to take it. Tomorrow I have an appointment with a real professional to fix all the mistakes! I was so disappointed in this place. I called and made an appointment. When I showed up at the set time I was told another bridal party was "running over" with their appointment, and they were looking at the same designer I was. Not only did we have to wait for dresses to try on because the other group had them, we then were ignored majority of the time because she was measuring the group that had ran over their appointment time. Once she was finally finished with the other group she came to inform us that another woman was there to get a fitting for her bridesmaid dress alterations, and we were ignored again! When leaving we expressed that we were disappointed in the service and the lady literally lost it. She began yelling and crying and telling us how she works alone and the owner left her there. She blurted out how she stays past closing and never gets overtime, and that the owner doesn't care. She was completely unprofessional and wouldn't let us speak. Her mother is apparently the seamstress, and she began to yell at us also. They even spoke in their own language at one point in front of us during this confrontation. She also informed me that if this was a bridal appointment that she would have been at my feet, but bridesmaids appointments she doesn't do that. If I wanted "special" attention I should have told her. I will never recommend this place to anyone, and they just lost out on selling 9 dresses...I would have been ready to purchase dresses from them that night, but the service and attitude of their sales girl was so horrific I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I was really nervous about going wedding dress shopping because I'm really curvy on the bottom and smaller on top but Maria was so helpful that I completely forgot about my nerves. She listened to what I said I liked and grabbed a bunch of dresses of various styles. As I tried on each dress I began to find my style and she put some dresses back without me having to try them so I wasn't trying on dresses all day. The whole time I felt comfortable and Maria definitely helped to make it a fun and enjoyable experience. I wound up holding off just to make sure I was making the right choice and felt no pressure to make a decision that day. I went back a few weeks later to try on my favorite two dresses. The room was large and well lit with a nice big mirror in the dressing room too. When I finally found my dress it was a little bit of what I thought I wanted but also something I never would have picked on my own. Maria was even able to help me customize it a little more to make it exactly what I was looking for. It's perfect. I was able to put money down on it (we paid half) and when I called a few months later to make another payment Maria remembered me and asked me about my son. I absolutely can't wait to wear it. It was by far the best experience I've had at a bridal boutique (I've been in several weddings) and I will definitely be returning with my bridesmaids early next year to find their dresses. read more

I think if you're looking for bridesmaid dress and probably Mother of the Bride/Groom attire, this would be a good choice. However, their selections in bridal dresses was somewhat lacking as well as their customer service. I'm kinda new at wedding plannings, but every bridal store I called required an appointment. I made mine a few Saturdays ago and when we walked in the door, we just stood there waiting for someone to at least greet us or show us where to go. There were a few people in the tuxedo section so I'm HOPING they were just customers as they didn't say anything to us either. We decided to just keep on walking down a very narrow hallway filled with bridesmaid dresses. I still didn't see anyone (or at least notice) working there until I went into the back room where there was one seamstress. I said hello and that I had an appointment. She told me to go upstairs to look for dresses. The 2nd floor isn't well lit and I didn't find many of the dresses they claimed to carry. The seamstress followed us upstairs and gave me a pair of shoes to wear. I asked for my own shoe size and she said these were the only sample shoes they had. I just kept my own shoes on. No point in tripping on a long dress, and shoes that are too big for me. I picked out my own dresses and dressed myself which I found a little odd as well. Luckily, we were the only ones there as I came out nearly half naked since I needed assistance. The clips they used to pin the dresses were cheap and popped off anytime I moved. I don't blame the woman who was there. I don't think her actual position was to be a saleslady. It could have been the day that I went, but I imagine if I made an appointment, I would have hoped to have someone experienced to help me choose a wedding dress. read more

I found a great mother of the bride dress here after looking in several places. But I had to have it fitted three times and the last time I went some of the alterations were not even made, in spite of having to wait one month after my second fitting. They sewed the hem while I waited and did such a bad job that most of the hem fell part after I took it home to check the length (which was crooked after the 2nd fitting). I ended up sewing the hem back by myself. Not something anyone should have to do after 3 fittings! The seamstress was very dismissive. Everyone else that worked there was very nice. Also the fitting rooms and dressing area for bridesmaids and mothers is small and not very attractive. They do have a good selection of dresses so you may want to give it a try. But I suggest getting it altered elsewhere. read more

I do not recommend this place at all. Presentation is sloppy from the look of the building to the employees. It took forever to be helped when I came in and when someone finally did come to my assistance (aside from being dressed messy and not keeping with a professional look I'd hope to see at a fashion bridal boutique) she was little to no help. When I finally made a decision for the bridesmaid dress I had to get she tried to talk me into a size 8 Alfred Angelo dress. 3 weeks later I went to an Alfred Angelo outlet for yet another bridesmaid dress and the very helpful, very well put together woman was putting me in a size 2. Makes no sense. My mom and I decided to go with a size 6 to be safe and because this woman was making me feel so badly about myself. Of course when it just came in it was too big. However this rude saleswoman had said when I was buying it "you'll be fine if you lose weight but you can't gain any or it won't fit. February of this year, My sister and I came to Tina's bridal for her bridesmaids dresses. We found the dresses all on our own. The lady in the front did not help us one bit. Which is fine because I'm sure she wouldn't have done much for us. So we ordered 8 dresses total. 4 out of the 8 paid in full and the 4 remaining girls left a deposit, which was $69.00. The dress was total $138.00. So in April our father had passed away unexpectedly. That same week of him passing away I called Tina's Bridal to cancel the dress orders. I explained to her that my father passed away and the wedding will be cancelled. She told me that we still had to pick the dresses up because they were in the process at the warehouse. I asked if she can call the warehouse to cancel the order. She kept telling me I can't I can't. I asked if she can try and instead of trying to be understanding, she kept telling me we have to pick up the dresses no matter what. I said to her I don't think you understand that my father passed away. There will not be a wedding now or in the near future. So anyways her being a rude individual it ended with her saying we are obligated to pick them up. The wedding was suppose to be in July. The 4 girls who paid for the dresses in full picked up the dresses when they were ready, the other 4 haven't picked them up. Now it being September, we receive a call from that same lady saying we have 2 weeks to pick up the dresses and pay the balance of $69.00 or she will take legal action.
