Tina was extremely helpful from the start: I got a little lost in the plaza and she helped me find the location through the phone. I showed her a photo of the type of cut I wanted and she explained thoroughly what was feasible based on my hair length. She washed my hair first and the scalp massage felt great! I told her I wanted to keep my length but incorporate a lot of layers. Usually my big fear is the typical thought that the stylist would cut off more than you asked for -- but Tina did exactly what I wanted. So sweet and welcoming right from the start. She cut my hair to a medium length with layers, and it turned out exactly like the picture I showed her. She matched the reference photo so perfectly, she really nailed it. She also recommended some great products that work really well for my hair type. My hair was really dry. With the heat picking up, I knew I needed a hair cut and treatment. I saw that Sola Salon had a new stylist in the lobby, so I tried her out. Turned out I was one of the first walk-ins!! And it felt so surrendipitous to have found Tina. She's amazing. She noticed how dry my hair was before I even told her, and she recommended an oil treatment along with a hair cut. The shampoo hair wash came with THE BEST scalp massage, and I left with hair feeling fuller and lighter. And it feels good to touch my hair!! Thank you, Tina! Super happy with how my hair turned out! I went to Tina for a perm and it was such a seamless experience -- from booking online to the actual perm! The whole process is pretty long (about 3-4 hours!!), but so worth it. I had asked for 28mm curls for that loose wavy curl look and I'm in love with the results. Tina walked me through every step and made sure I was good with the temperature. I swear she has magic hands; the gentle head massage during the hair wash was *chefs kiss*! This review is long over due. Tina is a sweet and amazing person! I found Tina by accident while visiting my daughter in SoCal. I didn't have an appointment and it was an hour before closing but she was gracious enough to take me as a new client. I am generally hesitant to go to hair salons that I am not familiar with but I decided to go to Tina because she had good reviews and I figured I only wanted a deep condition as my hair was severely dry from my last color. After consulting with Tina she also recommended a trim to get rid of the dead ends which I agreed to but had asked not to cut off too much as my hair doesn't grow as fast anymore. And I'm so glad I listened to her! She really listened to what I wanted as well as my concerns and provided excellent service. My hair was silky soft and the cut was perfect!! She even gave me a blow out to make sure that the cut was even on both sides. When my children saw me afterwards they commented how nice and healthy my hair looked. And my daughter said she will be going to see Tina for her next haircut (and she's very particular who cuts her hair). I forgot to mention that her salon is clean and tidy, no hair on the floor from the last client, and her implements she used to deep condition and cut my hair were also very clean. I was in desperate need of a haircut before a vacation, but was unable to get an appointment anywhere, until I called Tina. Tina was able to get me in within the hour. After looking at my hair she suggested a straight perm (aka Japanese hair treatment) along with my haircut. It's something I wanted to do for years so I said let's go for it, though I was nervous.
