Well, the first time I went for a hair cut that was ok. Then I went back for a deep hair treatment for $85 that was overboard for what she did. Simply brushing over then rinse...The second hair cut was not what I asked for and she rushed thru. The sink area could use some good cleaning tho...Most of reviews here are done many years ago when she was doing a better job I guess. Expect anywhere from 1/2 an hour to about 2 hours -- depending on your service(s). - Shampoo & Style - Haircut (when I tell Debby the exact inches i want cut or trimmed she does it exactly) - Deep Conditioning Treatment - Hair Color & Retouch - Japanese Style Wave Perm - Up-Dos :: NOTES :: 1) It's a little confusing to get in, just know it is ONE main entrance to all the individual businesses within this Sola Salon's building. 2) K&D hair studio is adorable, quaint, clean & modern-looking. 3) Within K&D Hair Studio there are only 2 seating spot (1 per stylist). Found out that Debby moved from the hair salon on Jeffery and Walnut and started her own hair studio with her friend! K&D stands for their names Kim and Debby. So I booked an appointment and went to her to new place! K&D salon is actually located inside Sola Salons (Suite 200) located next to Majestic Spa. Sola Salons itself is made of different individual salons/hair studios, cool concept huh?! You will probably spot the K&D logo on the window but do not know how to get in. You have to go into the entrance of Sola Salons turn right and go all the way down and you will see K&D. Onto to the review! The shop is cool and modern looking. Debby's hair studio has a window location so that made the shop very airy and cheerful. Everything that Debby use to do at the old hair salon (styling, color, highlights), she still does here! I've been going to Debby for almost 10 years and I can only say that she is just as good as before! Also I was surprised that she offered me a drink (water, soda, etc) as she has her own little fridge, sweeeet! Debby really has a good sense of what type of style is "in" and will give you suggestions as well. Since I've been going to her for so long, she exactly how I like my hair styled. I just tell her shorter/longer and she will get to work. I will continue to recommend Debby to all my friends and family and come to K&D for my hair styling! She will listen to your vague ideas about "Oh I want to make my face slimmer" or "I want to make boys drop dead" and give some really amazing suggestions! It lasts for a long time before I need another cut again. I'm a low-maintenance type of girl, so it's also important that my hair is easy to take care of. Debby's cuts are easy to style at home and require no maintenance on my part. If you ask, she's also happy to teach you little tricks and techniques to styling your hair by yourself.
