I've been coming to Agency for a few years now; I've gotten many haircuts and a balayage. The salon itself is clean and modern, and they're always welcoming! I read all the great reviews and went there with my child who needed to trim her ends as well. Well...I never had a 20 minute haircut before in my life, and that's including the wash and styling the hair. I showed the pictures of what I wanted, showed my pictures with that exact haircut from 5 years ago.... But instead of layers they just cut my hair short and straight when I asked for a pony tail length... I look awful, I feel awful and I paid $200 for that. Trimming my 5 year olds hair took longer than my hair cut. Also the attitude towards my child was a bit disappointing as well...I mentioned that it's her first time getting her hair done at the salon, so instead of accommodating her anxiety when she kept turning to me, they were just straightening her head to face the mirror... not sure why letting her face me instead was an issue... we walked out in 30 minutes both with tears in our eyes...walked around the lake nearby to calm down and agreed to just grow our hair back read more

I booked here because I saw so many good Yelp reviews, and especially because so many people seemed to recommend Yujin. Based on that, decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I deeply regret that decision. The only good part of the experience was that the staff were polite and friendly. The actual haircut, however, was extremely disappointing. It felt rushed, careless, and unfinished. The stylist finished in about 15 minutes, which already felt strange, and there was very little attention to detail. At the salon, my hair was blow-dried and styled, so I couldn't fully tell how bad the cut was. But once I washed it at home, I immediately realized how rough and poorly done it was. The haircut looks uneven and incomplete, and now I have to go to another salon and spend more money just to fix it. For $85 (and $110 total after tax and tip), I expected professionalism and skill. Instead, I left with a haircut that does not reflect that price at all. I would not recommend this place if you care about precision and detail. read more

This was my first time at Agency the Salon. I decided to give Agency the Salon a try because of the high numbers of five-star reviews. Yujin's warm welcome and flexible scheduling made my last-minute Saturday morning appointment a breeze. I arrived at 9:55 am. I had a haircut and colored my hair, all under 2 and a half hours. I was impressed but also surprised by her efficiency. Yujin obviously is an experienced hairdresser and she is fast. She was cutting other customer's hair while her assistants worked on coloring my hair. Yujin first cut off some length of my hair prior shampooing my hair which I thought was odd. She had an assistant who was doing the coloring and shampooing for her so I guess that made it possible for Yujin to double book appointments. During the time I was there, Yujin had one customer every half hour, 10 am, 10:30 am, 11 am, 11:30 am, and 12 pm. After my hair color was done by her assistant, Yujin finally officially worked on my haircut, at around 11:50 am. It was done by 12:10 pm. I asked to curl my hair and it looked beautiful. I agreed to write a review for the salon in exchange for a small discount, which I was gladly to do so. Yujin's service and her expertise showed a strong 4 -star rating. In conclusion, I was happy with how my hair turned out. I recommend Agency the Salon to anyone who is looking for a hair salon that delivers good and fast hair salon services with good pricing. Tips: Be sure to request not to be squeezed in between appointments because you'll be waiting and she'll be rushing. read more

So Yujin did text me after reading my review the other day and she asked me to go in to get my hair fixed but I refused because 1) my hair is already too short for me and I don't want it to be even shorter after she "fixes" it 2) I just don't feel comfortable to let her cut my hair again. However, she kept telling me to give her another chance and kinda "force" me to do so. Therefore, I had to be very straightforward and told her "no" because she had her chance when I went in but she chose to take multiple clients at once and ruined her chance and my hair is too short to be fixed but I'll accept a refund if she wanted to offer a customer service. Then, she changed her attitude saying that she did not do anything wrong even though she had two clients plus me at once. I had to point out that the fact that she chopped off my hair before shampooing was already a mistake which cannot be reversed and that's because she wanted to save time and take the next client. Because people usually get haircut AFTER washing their hair. If I do a thorough calculation, I arrived at 1:30pm and left at 2:30pm sharp. Minus the time we talked about the style that I wanted, shampooing, she walked away to do another client's hair and dry my hair, I think she spent less than 30 mins on cutting my hair. Its definitely not worth the price. Also, I'm not the only person complaining about this on Yelp but instead of changing her services, all she did was replying to those 1 star reviews and defensing for herself. What kind of hair stylist would force their client to get their hair fixed when the client is already uncomfortable about the entire situation? And after hearing I'll accept a refund if she wants to offer a customer service, her attitude was 180 changing. So I just told her that she can keep the money if she'd like to and I don't need a free fix from her either. She just totally ignored me afterwards. What a wonderful customer service lol. I'm writing this out because I want to help everyone think twice before making an appointment with her. She's the kind of person only cares about her own feeling and business instead of her client's needs. You can easily tell from her response via text which I've attached here for everyone to see.
