Been a loyal customer of Tina's for close to 20 years. I have tried a few other nail places in the area and have gone back to Tina's every single time. I am totally surprised to see complaints of "cold water" and "having to wait when I walked in". As these are superficial in my mind. Three things you can always count on at Tina's. Clean equipment, professional staff and beautiful nails. I have had other issues with other places with polish on cuticles, cut cuticles and even over pumiced heels! Have you ever had a sore on your heel from a pumice stone. Hard to wear shoes and took over 6 weeks to heal! OUCH! I learned my lesson and will gladly wait on a walk in or come another day provided that the job done is excellent. I have had many services over the years from Acylics, Gel, Gel Powder, Pedicures and eye brow waxing all excellent. Will keep going back. I booked an appointment for a large bridal party for MY WEDDING, and we received horrible service. We used to go here all the time but today was unacceptable. When we arrived, they rushed us into picking our colors and provided no assistance. They claimed to have had the pedicure water set up for us, yet did not tell us to sit and when we did it was cold. One of us was not able to get our hands done because of the long wait. We were there for a total of 3 hours! They continued to give incoming customers priority while leaving members of our party unattended. Lastly, they did not provide us with a receipt or itemized list of any kind so that we could know what exactly we were paying for. Solid nail salon when they are not busy. I've never been here during lunch crowd or after work crowd, but service I got was very attentive and good. All the girls are friendly, including Tina. I also speak Vietnamese so that comes as a benefit on the communication part. PEDICURE They have good colors from Opi and Essie lines, which are my favored brands for pedis. I like a good spa soak with bath salts in the spa chair and they let me soak for a good 10-15 minutes. Then they started cleaning, then massages and then heel scrub. No razor for me. , I requested a medium length acrylic. Showed my nail tech the photo, asked to change shape to which the nail tech insistently said no against. Before completing my nail set, I was asked to pay before nails were completed. My card was charged incorrectly, instead of reprocessing my card I was asked to fill the tip to "round the cost". All before my nails were even completed. When I asked the reasoning to not cancel and recharge correctly nail tech refused insisted repeatedly I fill in the tip to "round up my cost correctly". All while not finishing my nails and over 30mins before closing could not reprocess my card payment. Very unprofessional and terrible service. read more

The breakdown: a well-located nail salon with fair prices, good technicians, and horrible customer service. I live literally right down the road from Tina's making it very convenient for me to have been going here for the past five years. Right next to Kroger/Walgreens, 2 minutes away from the Gwinnett arena. I usually get either a polish change ($7) because of how often I go or a mani/pedi combo ($28 as a combo). I've never tried gel here but did try acrylic once. They have a pretty good assortment of colors but they're polishes always look like they've been sitting there aging for a few years which is unappealing. The owner, Tina, is not a kind owner. Despite me being a customer of theirs for years now, she still gives me and a lot of other customers attitude when we come in, don't give a tip she appreciates, need to get a nail fixed, etc. if you're friendly with her though, she'll be friendly back (especially with a $$$ tip). This is by far the biggest reason I try to find a new nail salon but haven't found one I liked enough yet for the price. The best and most experienced nail technician there is Tina though pretty much every lady who works there is skilled- that's the reason for my three stars and not two. They always do a great and more importantly a clean job with my nails. I do wish they were more hygienic and definitely wished they treated their customers better. When I first came in , they were busy so I asked "how long" and the lady told me "5min" I told her that I was on a time crunch so I just wanted to verify that they can take me as she stated in 5 minutes. This place is ridiculous. We have 4 family members that have been going here for a while but after a recent issue will NEVER return again. We have suffered thru the constant chit chat in their language about us to our face, they talk, look at u then continue talking some more. But when we asked why they don't use our names, one of the girls says "we have nicknames for everyone" I don't recall asking for a nickname. On top of that they have a habit of asking who lives in our house, how old everyone is, where do we work, etc. I don't recall bringing my wife here for an interview, what's supposed to be a pampering mani/pedi felt like an interrogation. Very unprofessional! I was a First Time Walk-in Customer and out of my 30 plus years of getting manicures and pedicures this was by far my worst experience! They didn't give me a price list of their services after I asked multiple times for their prices, they did my services all at once, but the owner, Tina did my manicure and it was a horrific experience! She jabbed and snatched off an acrylic nail that left me bleeding and she snickered and laughed with the other ladies about it! She didn't apologize right away, said she'll clean it up! When she used the acrylic on my nails, I wanted to wear a mask and they laughed at me for wanting to wear one, when they were wearing one! When she finished, she didn't even say thank you or lead me to the register! She Had an hour and a half before closing and had 4 others there! Very Rude! Earlier when I was trying to pull the pricing out of her, she said $5 off the mani and I got shorter nails! The pedi, I tried to get regular nail polish verses gel to save money, but she said she'd charge me $30 and it was very basic, no fancy scrubs or anything!! Terrible service. We made an appointment for 3 mani/pedis to ensure that they could see us all. Got there on time, were told to pick a color and then were left alone for about 10min. One of us was finally seated and the chair wasn't working - when we told them, Tina (owner) asked us "why is it not working?"....ummm....hello? It's your salon! She begrudgingly moved us. Then when the rest of our party was seated, the foot spa water in one was stone cold, and then other had no soap. When we asked if she could put soap in the water, she looked over, told us to 'just sit down' and carried on what she was doing. After 10 more mins of no acknowledgement from anyone in the salon (it was now 35mins past our appt time), we decided to leave. When we got up, she shrugged and said "we busy"....which is all well and good, but isn't that the whole point of making an appointment?!?? I went in on a Sundy afternoon - place was not busy asked for a manicure. I must say this is the worst manicure I have had in my life. The teck clipped my nails, all different lenghts, most of my nails were filed diagonally, I asked her to fix it and it only made it worse. My mother, sister and I have been going to Tina Nails every other week for years and never had any issues. They do tend to get busy on weekends and may ask for you to wait for a few minutes. However, they always give accurate waiting times and do their best to get you seated as quickly as possible. I requested a mani/pedi and was told to sit in a pedicure chair. The water in the footbath was cold. I have been coming to this salon for at least 4 years on and off. I appreciate how hard they work to try to get every person seated no matter how busy it gets. I have had gel done and regular manicure and pedicure. I keep returning because it is the only nail salon I have visited that good consistent service. The owner Tina seems to always be there working, checking clients out, etc. I respect how hard the whole staff gives 100%. These ladies are dedicated to their jobs no matter how crazy the day is. I've come to this location a few times and was ignored a few times before offered service but the shop was decent and close to my house. I went two weeks ago for my eyebrows and it was terrible. I requested a lady who has done my eyebrows before and instead they insisted sending me to the wax room with a girl I've never seen before. She did my eyebrows and I could tell she was new because the owner hovered while she did them. I don't mind new nail techs.. but seriously don't send an amateur to do my eyebrows. Especially when I asked for a particular person. Friday afternoon I went into the shop to get my eyebrows done. I always ask for Tina because she normally does a good job. She does try to push me off on her employees, but I'm picky about who does my brows. She asked me to come back in a hour, which I did. She took me into the room and was literally digging in my eyebrows as she plucked. She dug so deep in my skin that I developed blisters and raised bumps on my brows. This has never happened before. She also cut most of my brows off. Too short, thin and uneven. I called the next day and Tina, the owner of TINA NAILS told me that come all the time bugging her about doing my eyebrows. This statement confused me because I only go every other week. And this is a service she offers. That's like saying I bug walmart by grocery shopping every week. I asked her what I did to deserve this, she sd I bug her about doing my brows. I don't think this business should be open.
