Got breakfast to go from Tina's and it did not disappoint. We had our dogs so didn't stay but glad we grabbed food. I got the breakfast burrito with chorizo and my wife got the eggs Benedict. My burrito was yummmmmmmy. I wolfed that thing down like a starved wolverine in heat. It filled me up too and got me ready for my day. The people were very nice too and they got the food ready for us very quickly. Have outdoor seating when it's nice outside. We will come back here again for sure read more

I'm always wary of places that deliver multiple cuisines and especially so of those in tourist locations. It turns out there is a hole in the universe where the stars align to produce perfection contrary to what you are used to. Tina's delivers top notch tacos/mexican AND breakfast fit to knock your socks off. The taco end of the menu is on point with great flavor, good portions and I can't wait to go back! This didn't come from the Cisco frozen food truck. Breakfast is not artsy, herb drowned creations with fancy names: it's the classics. Benny's, pancakes, buiscuits and gravy, etc. all done so well that I hurt myself eating because I couldn't stop. Tina's should teach classes and travel around teaching their ways. To cap it all off, the staff is efficient, friendly (sometimes brief during busy tourist times) and very hospitable and helpful. They make great food and get it out to you. Yeah, I don't think so. Two tiny tacos and a giant portion of beans and rice. We're already on Friday Harbor so people know it's gonna be expensive regardless. You might as well charge me more and give me a plate that's actually satisfying. I didn't even like the tacos that much. So much cabbage, it's like a cabbage taco that happens to have a little bit of fish in it. And the fish itself is like half breading. And that fish is dry and the breading was inconsistent. I started drizzling Tapatio over everything. Nice rice, what brand of box was it? I agree with the other reviews that question how this can have a near five star average. Maybe some of their other meats are better, but this fish taco is not it. I haven't been to Friday Harbor in forever. If this is considered one of the better restaurants nowadays then it's not worth the ferry ride. read more

We ate vegetarian Burritos and quesadillas here and both were awesome. It's a sit down restaurant, but you need to place your order at the counter and wait to be served. The seating might be tight if you have large group, but the host is very accommodating and was able to find us a spot. There are street 2 hr parking spots next to the restaurant, which makes it convenient. All in all god experience. read more

We had lunch here yesterday. My wife had the taco plate special and I had the chimichanga. Her good was excellent and mine was great but the beef was not seasoned enough. The whole process was fast and efficient. The prices are high but you learn quickly about prices in Friday Harbor. I would recommend this place. read more

First of all the food was amazing, I had a smoked jalapeño popper hash with eggs over easy. It was really flavorful and I had the biscuit which could have been the best I have ever had, super soft and lightly grilled. The smoked poppers and bacon was really great. My wife had the traditional eggs Benedict which she really enjoyed. We sat outside with a nice view of the harbor over the ferry line. The service was great and we were checked in with several times. The space is a bit funky but works for a casual meal. I can only imagine how good their tacos are....looking forward to finding out! read more

Great Food, excellent service and very affordable. We arrived for a late breakfast, and both my wife and I ordered breakfast burritos. Then, a side of sausage links and a side of bacon. Tinas reminded me of the breakfast restaurants from when I was young, great food, great service, and very affordable. My wife ordered her burrito without pico and sour cream, and I ordered mine with jalapeños. These were the best breakfast burritos we have had in a very long time. I would have included a picture, but to be honest, I tore into it too fast. The two side dishes we ordered were of the same quality, absolutely delicious. I highly recommend Tina's Tacos, but you better be prepared to eat a lot. The waitresses were awesome, very friendly, and attentive. I don't know if I will ever be back to Friday Harbor, but if I do, I will be stopping here again! read more

Visited Tina's this Friday on a day jaunt to Friday Harbor. The place is quite small but the tables are a good size and comfortable. The restaurant is clean, bright and inviting and has a nice vibe. The server was alone and busy but still greeted us, brought us a complimentary chips & salsa before our order. There are the usual drinks and beer, which some folks were enjoying on the outside patio. I had the sweet potato burrito which was MASSIVE, flavorful and so filling. My partner had the chimichanga which he devoured no problem (though he did start to slow down at the end). Prices are reasonable for the area, each entrée was in the $12+ neighborhood, which is a great deal for quality, volume and flavor. Every visit to Friday Harbor will find us in this sweet little joint. read more

Great location and beautiful view from outdoors. However, would not recommend this spot for anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions. They were busy over the holiday weekend but our server tried to give us other people's order 3 times before setting down what we hoped was our order. 1/2 way through eating it my friend discovered pieces of meat in it. This was actually a big deal as we were vegetarian per religion, not just choice. The lady at the cash register said it must have been the wrong order and comped it then provided him a new burrito. However, the server who gave the wrong order was weirdly mean in the next few interactions we went in and salsa and (uncooked) chips were never offered ( we had to ask) which prompted writing about the experience. The next server was sweet and more competent. They really should get a number placard for people to place on their tables so they can keep track of order delivery better. Unfortunately, found a bit of scrambled egg in my ( egg free ) order at the end which was too bad as despite the experience, we really wanted to like this place- generous portions for a decent price; nice ambience, close to the ferry port...so If you don't have any dietary restrictions, may still consider checking it out. But vegetarians may want to look elsewhere, esp on busy days. read more

I'm 0 for 2 now. The red headed girl behind the counter was rude with me twice! I've herd other people that live on the island say the same, i just love the food so I returned. I know the industry is tuff and Friday harbor has a ton of tourist not all are nice. However I live here in the summer. Always nice and respectful because like I previously said food and beverage it not easy. The portions here are incredible! I tried the breakfast burrito and the rustic benny. The breakfast burrito would definitely feed two people. It's the size of a newborn baby and came with a side of sour cream. I opted to make it spicy with hot sauce and jalapenos inside. The rustic benny really is just like biscuits and gravy with bacon on it. A perfect place to stop for brunch before your San Juan Island adventure. read more

Great food but $40+ for 2 wet burritos with meat on each. Very tasty. Large servings. I had asked for no egg on mine and the hostess wrote no eggs but the cook still put them into the burrito. The drip coffee (I am very picky) was delicious and I had added no cream or sugar. read more

This place is good. I'm from Southern California so I'm kind of a Mexican food snob. You're not gonna find anything like Southern California Mexican food around here. It's just not comparable. But it is good. I'm giving this place five stars because it was done fast and the guys working there were cool. Good customer service I will be back. Don't come to this place with super high expectations. We are in the Pacific Northwest after all. Not exactly known for our Mexican food up here. But it's decent. Give it a try. read more

Visited Friday Harbor for a weekend getaway. Enjoyed breakfast Sunday morning at Tina's tacos before we left on the ferry. Met the owners daughter who was lovely and so helpful. Our breakfasts were delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast sandwich with avocado and a mimosa. Loved the spot more than any other breakfast spot in Friday Harbor. Would highly recommend and look forward to going back again in the off-season. read more

Food was really good! Loved the sweet potato tacos! If you are vegan it's a great spot! Just be aware, although the rice and beans are vegan they put cheese on the top so you will need to ask for that off and the avocado sauce is not vegan. They didn't catch either of those when I ordered and mentioned that I was vegan. They remade it without it being an issue and the food was delicious! I did overhear the chef telling the cashier to put vegan on the ticket next time if someone is so they can hopefully catch it. Food was great! Would come back! read more

I'm not sure who's rating this place so high, but I'm guessing it's people that never leave the island. To be fair about the 2 star rating, (like I've said before) I'm basing it on more than just the food. The food was ok, mostly average, and the prices per person were what I would expect for the area. The place was clean, and they had a good variety of the basics. This is about where the positives end. (Disclaimer: if this is your favorite place, don't get all defensive. It's just my opinion). Tina's Tacos is not a big place, so when you walk in, there's not a lot of seating. We grabbed the table just inside the door and sat down. We were then informed that you have to order at the register. Their menu is hand written on the wall. The young lady working inside had multiple jobs. Keep in mind that not all people are good at multitasking. She wasn't rude, she was just that fake polite. We all felt like we were intruding or something. After sitting back down, we were presented with a small bowl of complimentary chips and salsa. With the four of us, it was pretty much a waste of time. Any additional chips or salsa is $2. The young lady brought our food out and presented me with my beans and rice with a side of fish tacos. It's a good thing I had so much beans and rice, because if I only ate my tacos, I'd have to stop at another restaurant on the way home to eat again. My wife only ordered meat tacos, and they were more like street tacos. I could've eaten 10 of those little things. We finished our Tina's Tacos experience and got the heck outta there. Now I Yelped this place before going there and I know there's always good and bad reviews for places. But I have to disagree with my fellow Yelpers on this place. Portions are not small here! Seriously - my wife got a breakfast sandwich. If I'd known it was going to be so large we would have split it. Probably the best huevos rancheros I've had in a long time. This place is so darn good. The service was awesome and the flavors amazing. They brought out warm chips with salsa and offer all sorts of complimentary toppings for the tacos. My husband had the taco salad and loved it. My son had the burrito and it was huge. The two tacos with rice and beans for me were delish. Such a great find in the island and reasonably priced too.
