2nd time here, first review. Came here for the Tinley Park Brewfest. Firstly, I recommend staying at the Even Hotel (which is connected) or getting an Uber. It was confusing at first with the way the line was set up. There were no signs or people directing which way to go. Once we found the line to check-in, the line moved quickly. Being a brewfest, people were behaving okay. No rowdiness. There were several officers on duty to keep the peace. The band was okay. I definitely liked last year's better. Not many sour beers, mostly IPAs and stouts. The VIP section had tables with party mix, but they didn't refill, so it was gone within an hour. The VIP beer selection wasn't anything special. They had 1 set of bathrooms, and they would close periodically. You can only imagine since it was a brewfest! $60 was reasonable for early entry and 25 beer tickets (VIP). read more

This is a very nice facility in a convenient location. Oddly, I find myself reviewing the facility where I just received my COVID vaccine instead of reviewing a restaurant or other business. Hopefully people scrambling to get their shots booked won't overlook this mass vaccination site option because it is a bit of a drive from where they live, or they feel it might be too much of a hassle compared to strolling into a Walgreens or a Jewel. Let me assure you it is organized and staffed to the max, from the minute you pull in the lot to when you walk out the door. Plus, what I wasn't sure about, but was happy to confirm, is that they schedule your next shot on the spot. The location itself is very easy to find. As soon as you drive in towards the building there are people directing you towards the parking area, and pointing to the door you'll enter and which direction you'll walk when inside. It is foolproof. Several cars were dropping off elderly and/or handicapped passengers before parking to save them a walk. However, the parking was a breeze and the walk was minimal. Once inside, you'll see a lot of National Guard folks guiding you through the easy process. What a joy it is to see something so organized. The military really does it right. All the personnel were not just helpful, but also friendly and empathetic. This is also where the facility itself shines. It was an enormous hall, with the registration and shot tables neatly spaced out. You are guided along like you're on a conveyor belt and before you know it, you find yourself seated in the post-vaccine resting area, where as you relax to make sure their are no immediate reactions, National Guard people are walking up to everyone individually and setting up dates for their second shot as you sit there relaxed. No extra waiting. So, the center itself is spacious, yet well designed and easy to navigate. It is also very clean. I would gladly return here for any event. P. S. COVID protocols were followed. I had my wedding at the Tinley Park Convention Center and it was perfect from beginning to end! Everything was included in the plate pricing, including cake, tax and gratuity, so I knew up front what my total would be without any last minute charges. It's attached to a hotel, which was a big plus for my out of town guests. There is plenty of parking as well. When it came to our tasting we were amazed at how detailed and classy it was. The food tastes great and they get every detail down to how you want your napkins folded! Fast forward to the rehearsal and wedding day; we had Alyssa as our coordinator and she couldn't have been more helpful or on top of it! She led us through an efficient rehearsal, gave a bunch of tips on what will look good in the pictures, and made detailed notes on where we wanted everything for the big day. On my actual wedding day, everything was flawless. Alyssa dealt with multiple vendors seamlessly and found us a perfect first look spot. We opted to have our ceremony there as well, and it was gorgeous. After the ceremony we had a wonderful cocktail hour with delicious hors d'oeuvres (included in the plate price!) and strong drinks! During cocktail hour their amazing staff was flipping the ceremony room into part of the reception room. It looked AMAZING. The meal was delicious and we got quite a few compliments on it. We opted for the wagyu sirloin and chicken piccata. We also opted for late night pizzas which were served in their hotel restaurant after the wedding was over. A short walk from the ballroom to the restaurant (all indoors), and we even got our own private room to have pizzas, hang out and continue the party! After the wedding, the couple gets a stay in their suite at the hotel (also included in the price) and it was so wonderful not to have to worry about transportation on my wedding night. The staff and Alyssa worked so hard that night (and throughout the process) to make this the most perfect day ever and I would recommend this venue to anyone wanting an all-inclusive, stress free day! read more

The best decision my husband and I made was choosing the Tinley Park Convention Center as our wedding venue. After pushing through despite the pandemic, we have a newfound appreciation for ALL of the staff members at TPCC. At some point during our planning process, we worked with someone from almost every department. (Catering, Decor, Lighting/Tech Support etc.) THEY WERE ALL AMAZING. As a bride, you dream of a perfect wedding day and planning process, and I can honestly say that Alyssa and the entire TPCC staff exceeded our expectations. Facility was easy to find. There's ample self parking in their lot. The venue was clean and spacious. Food service was odd, kids menu was different from the adults. Servers brought a basket of rolls to the table with the verbal caveat that they were only for the adults. Try telling that to a bunch of hungry kids-we shared with them; the rolls were a bit on the dry side. Food was just okay-a very tender chunk of pot roast, a bland piece of chicken, and bow tie pasta in a red sauce. The creamy chicken rice soup and the green beans were the meal's highlights. Alternate food for the vegetarian at our table was not available. Service was a bit disorganized-a plate was not provided if a diner stepped away to bar or restroom. Coffee was bitter and tasted as though it had been boiled for a long time. Ugh! TP Convention Center may consider turning up the heat a bit, I had to wear my jacket during the awards presentation. Washroom was very clean and supplies were available, but beware-the stall doors are difficult if not impossible to lock during use! read more

We had a lot of issues with the venue. We worked with Trinity to coordinate our event. She repeatedly provided incorrect information about pricing, food, and the bar. We attempted to rectify the situation by requesting to speak with the manager. Trinity connected us with Katie, whom we found out was another sales manager just like Trinity. She could not resolve the situation and provided no solution. Ultimately we asked to speak with her boss who was out of the office and they stated he Daniel would phone us on Monday, this was Friday. He did not call on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. The event was on Saturday and final payment was due. I called him twice on Tuesday and once on Wednesday then finally caught up to him. He provided a discount for the inconvenience. Finally on the day of the event we went to the venue saturday morning Leah (banquet manager) was on duty she was rude and extremely difficult to work with. We requested high boy tables, an easel and candles. All of which were discussed with Trinity but Leah said it was not apart of the request. She did utimately provide the items but begrudgingly. The staff that supported us during the event was fantastic! Charles, Amanda, Angelica and the others were amazing... so supportive and accommodating... thank you so much Charles and your staff it made up for the poor service we encountered prior to the event that night!t read more

I was in attendance for a 400+ guest wedding reception. If you're looking to host a celebration of this magnitude or greater, I wouldn't hesitate to consider Tinley Park Convention Center. It's certainly something different from the regular banquet hall. Upon entering, a personalized message was displayed on the electronic welcome sign. Parking lot was vast with plenty of free parking. A little ways outside of Chicago, it's in a great location for family members or friends to stay who are visiting from out of state (or who don't want to drive back to the city) because the nearest hotel is the Holiday Inn, complete with restaurant & bar. There is also a nearby strip of restaurants within walking distance. Im sure there was a considerable amount of externally catered business for this wedding but what was automatically provided by the convention center was elegantly done. The 400+ reception was held in the ballroom nearest the main entrance. My guest and I were in complete awe of the space. Both of us hadn't attend a wedding of this magnitude in a very long time. The room had high vaulted ceilings, 35ft floor to ceiling windows, 3 open bars placed strategically alongside the walls, an enormous center dance floor in the middle of the room, a stage with two live grand piano players and Dj in front of the dance floor, and large round tables that filled the center. The lights we're out but royal blue lighting as the accent color glowed along the walls, there was a spotlight on the dance floor, red lighting on the stage, and brilliant white glowing lanterns hanging from the ceiling just above the dance floor. Butlers with white gloves also wondered the scene providing excellent service serving trays of five different horderves. Table setting was extremely elegant and spacious. Have you ever been to a banquet hall where everything seemed cramped and there was hardly any room to set aside the family style trays? That wasn't the case with these tables and we were all happy that even though sitting 10 to a table there was enough room to maneuver. The food was served directly to our place setting then cleared immediately after eating which eliminated access dining wear. Service was impeccable. Beautiful silk napkins and large hydrangea flowers for centerpiece added an elegant touch. The wedding party table was the biggest I've ever seen. It looked a mile long because it wasn't tiered. I won't go into anymore detail about this multi faceted extravagant wedding because from food to entertainment, I'm not sure which were directly provided from the convention center. A very nice venue for conventions. There is ample parking, spacious, and there is a Holiday Inn attached. If you aren't able to get a room, try anyone of the Hilton properties just off the LaGrange exit. Plenty of food in the area. read more

I came here for a conference last week. It was nice to hear what other teachers are doing and some new perspectives. As I participated, I made sure to take notes on the amenities. Chairs / Seating - 5 Stars. The chairs have a deep enough seat at a good height. They also have a mesh back which I hadn't seen previously. That proved to be immensely comfortable on my fragile back. Food - 2 stars. Eggs that I think were previously powdered and salty meatloaf. They were edible, but just barely. The coffee was fine and the fresh fruit and salad were good. Space - 4 stars. Parking is plentiful and there is plenty of space to move around and walk through the tables when in the ballrooms. However, the breakout rooms were over packed and not as comfortable. Bathrooms - 4 stars. Plenty of bathrooms to go around. They were clean and easy to locate. It's a good, competitive place to have a conference. Check it out! read more

I'm at this convention center annually for a conference in spring that is held there. Spacious facility with free parking immediately adjacent to the building. Plenty of partitions to convert into smaller meeting rooms when we have break out sessions. Areas for opportunity would include food. It could certainly be more creative than what is traditionally provided. Also considering conferences and other scholarly activities are held here, there should be a ground plug option frequently throughout the hall to charge phones and laptops. I found it difficult to find an area to plug without me needing to stand off to the side to charge my device for which I was required to stop taking notes. read more

I've been to 2 events at this convention center - a woman's conference for church and the Tinley Park Brew & Vine Festival. The space is large but manageable and I appreciate that the bathrooms are always clean. There seems to be ample parking and there are usually staff members to around to help you navigate the space. read more

The convention center rooms and service is great. The banquet food and is subpar. I understand that it not cooked the traditional way but the fish and chicken was terrible and hard. I did enjoy the mash potatoes and the salad. Venues like this should invest in making their catering department food better with quality food . read more

Came here for a Custom Car show and I wasn't impressed. It is super small and I felt like I was closed in. Cars on top of each other. I'm sure the convention center is lovely for other types of events not so much for this one. -Easy to get there. -I like the fact that parking is free and your wallet doesn't get raped for 15-20 bucks. read more

I've been to the Tinley Park Convention Center 3 times now - all for reading conferences. The facility is large, with large meeting/presentation areas and a bathroom around every corner. I wonder if they just re-did their carpeting, as there was a distinct chemical smell. Because the rooms are large and often divided with foldable walls, there are very few electrical outlets. If you plan on bringing a laptop to take notes, make sure you're well-charged before you arrive! The acoustics are good, though - the presenters could be heard in every room. The automatic soap dispensers in the bathroom were very fritzy; not all worked, and half of those that did did not have soap stocked in them. The breakfast provided was alright - bagels and muffins. They need to update their toasters to bagel toasters, since the large wheat bagels don't fit in the regular toaster. Lunches provided were good (baked potato, soup, and salad bar). If you have high blood pressure, I'd avoid the soups - they were extremely salty! I almost ended up with a bowl of sour cream on my lap, as the staff who put out the glass dish of sour cream put it on top of a plate, which was on top of an upside-down metal frame. Glass on ceramic on metal = lots of sliding potential. Thankfully the staff reacted fast (as both my hands were full) to help me avoid further disaster. I'm sure I'll be back! read more

I visited here for the "Discover Tinley Park" expo and that was my first time here. It's much larger than it looks from the street and has many entrances so it can be confusing if you're not sure where your event is being held. It's very nice and clean inside and I enjoyed my time there. I hope to attend more events at the Tinley Park Convention Center in the future. read more

The customer service of the Tinley Park Convention Center staff is beyond horrible. We have produced an annual show there for many years, and the attitude of the staff is consistently abysmal. It seems as if the event office staff have forgotten why the building exists. Some of the things they say and do (or not do) almost seem an intentional attemp to thwart your efforts to mount a successful event. This is in spite of the constant revolving door of staff. Every year, we are introduced to a new manager, who promises everthing is different. They are wonderful up front when they are taking your money. Everything is "Yes, absolutely", but when it comes time to deliver, they simply don't. Heaven forbid you try to locate your event coordinator to solve problems. When problems arise, they hide behind their voicemail. I walked up on several staff members openly mocking a request I had made for some adjustments to my room setting. One of them saw me and quickly "hushed" the rest. The majority of rank and file house staff are decent hard-working folks, but some are knuckle-dragging lunk-heads who don't care at all. It took two of them nearly twenty minutes to bring an extra stack of chairs over. If you give them a list of ten things your event MUST have ready at a certain hour, I guarantee they will have completed perhaps two of the ten. In most cases, we have been left to fend for ourselves, dragging stage sections from a far hallway, or moving a hundred chairs just to see it done. Also, the house staff never seems to notice the many odd bits of trash and lost objects laying around the perimeter of the large exhibit hall. Many times we've gathered this trash on our own prior to opening our event. Unfortunately, this venue is acutely aware that they are the only game in town. They are a large facility, connected to a hotel, adjacent to a major highway. There is simply no other adequate facility within twenty miles that can hold large public events. The building itself is adequate and decent, mostly new. I'm certain the building is not the problem. I've worked on events in many large venues around the country, most excellent, some downright awful. Don't be fooled by the big new hall, or the fresh carpeting and decorating. This group doesn't have a clue how to make or keep you happy. Came here for a fundraiser event. They had a large spread of food, the main course was a variety of pizzas. It was all thin crust, but so hard that it was difficult to cut through with the spatulas they had. I had to awkwardly use my hands to pry off a piece of pizza for myself. read more

I had a conference here last Friday and was surprised Tinley Park had a convention center and that is was so nice! The layout is simple but stretched out. At first I got lost because I was on the wrong side of the building. Facilities were clean, but it was disappointing that their concessions was closed...especially since I did not have breakfast or bring a snack. Bring your own food and you should be ok. read more

My daughter recently held her wedding reception at the Tinley Park Convention Center and we couldn't have been more pleased. Since we do not live in the area, working with Angela was critical to the success of the reception. We never worried about a thing in her capable hands and she was always prompt in responding to our questions. We had many compliments on the food and the reception venue as a whole.
