Oh. My. GAWD! What took me so long to try this place?!?! We made reservations on a Saturday night, which may not have been necessary, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. We were early -- no problem. We were greeted at the door, our coats taken, and seated promptly. Our waitress (sorry, but I'm horrible with names) was AWESOME and had menus in our hands before we had started a conversation. Waters came promptly and she was very helpful with picking a wine to match dinner. Service was prompt, but unhurried... very refreshing. We had a round of drinks and made a point to sip to match the unhurried pace. We placed our order (questions were answered well and in a very helpful manner) about midway through the round. I odered the Fried Olives and Greek Salad and my wife ordered Potato Wedges. We ordered the main course at the same time and were asked how we'd like things to come out (THANK YOU!). In between conversation, we were able to observed the workings of the open kitchen, which was clean, professional, and HIGHLY efficient (SUPER impressed). The apps came unhurriedly, but right on time (sensing the theme?). The Fried Olives were absolutely one of the best things I've ever had. AMAZing! The Greek Salad was wonderful, particularly the feta. I have no idea how the potatoes were, but heard no complaints as the dish disappeared. For the main course, my wife ordered the Keftedes (my original choice, but she took long enough with the menu that I changed my mind) and mixed vegetables. I didn't try the latter, but the former were absolutely stellar. I had the Pastitzio, which was Out. Of. This. WORLD! The side greens were a surprise and were absolutely flavorful. So what does "contemporary Greek" mean? Simple: Classic Greek food that is not drowned in sauces, but rather allows the pallet to enjoy the flavors. I could not have been happier with this meal. For dessert, wife ordered the apple crisp and enjoyed it. I refused to make a decision and ordered the Dessert Mezze -- a *ridiculous* plate of happiness. Baklava, cocoa powdered grapes, biscotti, mint leaves, fruit, Greek Doughnuts (OH MY GAWD!!!!)... it was sensational! I ended up taking half my olives and two pieces of the dessert (it is NOT a one person dessert) home. During the meal the waitress checked in numerous times (without being at all intrusive), as did the manager, chef, and owner. Again, none of this was in-your-face (which many high end restaurants don't understand how to do), but was genuine, and not at all bothersome. As we left, the man who greeted us, as well as the chef, chatted us up about the restaurant and were genuinely pleased by our reaction to their efforts. In short, just GO. I couldn't believe we weren't elbow-to-elbow. This is EASILY my new favorite restaurant on the seacoast. read more

I've enjoyed going to the bar for drinks and appetizers and it's been really delicious with good service and food. On my most recent visit, the seating policy changed with the hostess seating all patrons- even at the bar. She escorted me to a seat and I requested to be seated a few stools over so not to feel crowded. The hostess responded that the seats I requested were reserved. After about 20 minutes, the hostess seated another couple in the stools I had requested, and they asked for a different location at the bar. I can only guess for similar concerns about feeling crowded. The hostess told this couple that the seats they requested were reserved. At this point I asked the gentleman seated next to me if he had made reservations- which he had not. So for some mysterious reason the hostess was not completely honest about reservations. The seats at the bar were never completely filled and not allowing guests to choose a comfortable spot at the bar is nonsense. This experience has left me unlikely to return. Misleading your guests for any reason is not good customer service. I'm not sure why management made this change with seating , but it would be more palatable if the hostess let you sit where you want when the seats are not in fact reserved. read more

I ordered the braised short rib ragout, and he ordered the lamb chops with creamed spinach and Greek fries. Our waiter Robert was exceptional, and the atmosphere was great! I went here last year so I don't remember everything my date and I ordered but overall it was disappointing in how little value there is here when you consider the small portions and hit or miss quality. The waitstaff is excellent as the management definitely makes that a priority so you will get a pleasant experience from that perspective and maybe concentrate on what dishes they do well here and you probably will be OK as the kitchen & bar do appear to be very professionally operated. The atmosphere too is upscale and it is a fun place to be. read more

I am really impressed with Tinos! We sat at the bar and enjoyed some appetizers and delicious Greek wines. The shrimp appetizer was incredible, as were the marinated olives. My son Josh and I had a fantastic experience at Tinos on Mother's Day (5-13-18). We sat at the bar upstairs (where he could also watch the Celtics!!!). The service from Michael behind the bar and from the wait staff was extremely attentive, the meals exquisitely, artfully presented and perfectly cooked and seasoned. The ambiance was warm and friendly. I had the Wood Grilled Scottish Salmon which was amazing and my son had a Burger. (very ample helpings) For appetizers, we had Tinos' Meatballs, Calamari and Spanakopita which were all delicious. I worked summers during college with a group of friends right in the heart of Hampton Beach where we competed on the Sea Shell Stage in the Miss Hampton Beach Pageant... so nostalgic location and overall delightful experience. Service was outstanding with head waiter Michael. He's a true professional. Best part of our visit! Drinks ok wine expensive by the glass. Tried new Irish gin martini, not good. Started with assortment of dips with very thick chips, Would not order again, dry and flavorless. Salad was outstanding! Ribeye steak 42$ was tough, looked terrific Lamb shank very large, over cooked and not fall off the bone. Lamb chops ordered well done and seemed to be ok Other entree was half order looked dry but guest ate it all and no complaints. Was not busy for a Tuesday evening in season. What a great addition Tino's is to the Seacoast. Not only is Greek food hard to come across out here, but Greek food done so beautifully is what Tino's is all about. The attention to every little detail from the time you walk in the door is unreal. I felt like I was in a restaurant in N.Y.C... Our waitress, her name was Alison, was also 5 star, very friendly and very well trained on the menu. I really enjoyed eating at the chefs table and watching them prepare our dinners. Fun atmosphere, inventive menu, warm hosts, amazing plate presentation, great Champagne, just to name a few favorite things. You have to try the Greek Champagne. Its pink..and it was delicious! Tons of potential. Can't wait to go back to this innovative and pretty place. They've only been open three weeks, and matters are still understandably being figured out in a few areas. I'm sure they will hit their stride, but recently the food came out slowly and some of it wasn't at the right temperature. But all of it has promise! I will post an updated review very soon. The white anchovies in the mezze were the best I've ever had, and I love the grilled rabbit liver portion of the mezze. The mezzes are different takes in familiar favorites. If you are willing to depart from tradition I think you'll find very much to enjoy here. Some of the dishes are traditional, but don't expect the same kind of gyros you have seen elsewhere for example. Just ask your server and I'll be happy to describe the way they do it. They do a great job with mixed drinks and have a few tasty drafts on tap. read more

Potential with this restaraunt but they need to iron out a few things first. Went for a girlfiends birthday - there were 7 females at the table. The space was amazing - nice atmosphere and great outdoor deck with fire pit and heaters. Food was also very good - small plates but very fun to try new greek foods and we were not disappointed. I see 2 issues: 1. The waiter was not very friendly and just wanted to take our order and turn the table - unfortunately that was not our plan. 2. I had brought a birthday cake to celebrate my friend birthday. The hostess graciously took the cake and let our waiter know that we had the cake. The surprise came when we got the check and there was a $20 "cake fee" attached to our almost $400 bill. Extremely disappointed with this especially since there was no mention of this prior to me getting the check. Seriously, I'm spending $400 in your restaurant and you want to nickel and dime me for $20 bucks! I'll take my cake elsewhere next time. read more

Pricey. Very small portions. Had the " fishermans soup" It was incredibly salty. Couldn't even drink the broth . Suppose to be the best part. It was a very tiny bowl and almost $10 . If had two mussels. They added way too much chorizo. And no garlic. It said it had garlic but honestly there was none. Next I order a side of spaghetti with clams and the portion size of the small white bowl made everyone laugh . It was also very bland. The only good thing I can say was that drinks were half off for a little while. But I spent money on food that I didn't like and left super hungry. read more

Have eaten here twice recently and as another reviewer stated, this is definitely a hidden gem! It is hard to find restaurants in the Seacoast area that are above mediocre. Everything we have tried (we ate at the bar last night and shared/tasted) is fabulous--the lamb chops, the bolognese, the pastas, Greek appetizers are delicious and authentic. Drinks and service, along with a great atmosphere and great wait staff make for a great dining experience. The live entertainment in the bar/firepit lounge after with Mark M was an added plus! Revisited after a delay of a couple of years. Was a little concerned when place was almost empty, whereas last time they were just able to squeeze us in. Service was good, though server forgot to order one dish (why don't they just write it down?), but once mentioned, it was out instantly. The music was loud and obnoxious, but they quickly turned it down when asked. Their Cesar salad was quite good, though my wife topped her's with octopus, which she said was a bit fishy. My mushroom ragu appetizer with chicken added was good, though very heavy with the cream/not mentioned in menu and not typical in a ragu. Homemade crackers were quite good. Sadly, bread was literally rock hard (what?!) Prices were reasonable, staff was engaging, food just so-so. I won't rush back. read more

Really hot. Thermostat said 71 and it was in the middle of a heat wave. No ceiling fans or moving air.. It's relatively small but the furniture and everything is really cool. Looking for Greek food and found Tinos Service was very good. Drinks were good but food was lacking. Lamb shank came with 4 carrots and cold polenta. The small amount of sauce with it was good. Didn't feel it supported the price. Spanikopita starter is only 3 small pieces, mostly dough. Expensive for what you get. Salad was ok but the feta in it wasn't very flavorful. Maybe it was domestic. Sadly we ate more bread than we wanted to and still came home slightly hungry. The stars are for the waitress and drinks not food value. read more

This is my favorite restaurant in the entire seacoast NH region. We try to go here a couple times a month. Not only is the food phenomenal, the wait staff is very attentive and professional. The bartenders are top notch and the cocktail menu is always creative. Their outdoor seating area is a fun and inviting place to enjoy live music on the weekend. We've tried most of the regular menu items and there isn't a single thing we've tried that hasn't been worth getting a second time. Fantastic dinner from start to finish! Appetizers of Greek salad and the octopus. Visually enticing with great flavors to boot! Had the gyro and the Mediterranean sea bass. Won't survive unless they enhance the limited menu, reduce prices, and train their staff. Staff are mostly kids who are more interested in bullshitting together than serving their patrons.
