Excellent service- we had lunch at this establishment which is above the Galley Hatch in Hampton, NH. The menu is limited. We were not prepared for this tapas style menu. My husband had the rabbit stew. This was tasty but he finished the tiny bowl craving more rabbit. If you are looking for traditional Greek recipes and your with typical Greek portions this may not be the place to eat. The ambiance is what really drew us in. We dined at Tino's this past Sunday and really enjoyed the meal and the service. Alex was our waiter and he did a great job. One bad thing was they have a outside deck that is enclosed with clear plastic so it can be used in the winter. Bad news is the owner and his friends were out there smoking cigars. Every time the door opened the smell of cigars filled the dining area. It was pretty disgusting trying to enjoy our meal with cigar smoke coming in. I dine at the Galley Hatch quite frequently and I am very happy with that side, but not so happy with Tino's. I hope this review gets to the owner and he puts a stop to smoking on the deck in the winter. I would really like to go back there. read more

The service stole the show here! Robert was excellent at recommending but not over bearing and we loved all of his recommendations! Awesome cocktails and wine list! This place is great. The service you receive is top notch. I am a bit of a service snob so when I give all 5 stars they earned it. The owner was on site and treated us like royalty, he gets the importance of a customer. The food, well from apps to the desert Greek coffee and everything in between was all awesome. I live about 20 minutes away In Portsmouth so leaving the area was once tough to do for diner but with this spot it jumps to my #1 in Portsmouth and Seacoast. I promise you if you give it a try you will love it. They might not like this comment but give yourself enough time as you want to take it all in, do not rush treat diner like you are in the Greek islands. What a wonderful surprise! It's rare to find Greek food that isn't the usual diner/casual fare, especially outside of a major city. As a Greek I'd rather make that myself, or eat my mom's, anyway. Tino's takes your Yiayia's recipe and puts a new inspirational twist on it. Flavorful, nicely plated and without the heavy feeling that can sometimes follow a nice dinner you can actually save yourself for dessert. I can't believe it has taken me 4 years to find this place! This will be my go to dinner spot in Hampton now. Tableside cocktails! Outdoor elevated deck with live entertainment on Saturday. Service, drinks, and food were excellent with an unpretentious setting and reasonable prices. Vegetarian options were delicious. Hummus so good. The homemade fettuccini was incredible. I like that the portions are what they should be for someone not expecting a heaping pile of Prince pasta with jar tomato sauce. If you want gigantic portions go to the chain restaurants where quality does not exist. My husband had steak kabob and it was perfectly cooked with red on the inside. All the sauces were so good. This place is beautiful inside and on the deck. The staff is fantastic and very friendly. Kids menu is small but good. The adult menu has a good variety. However do not let the restaurant's name fool you. We were expecting an Italian restaurant, however, we are still very pleased. Google has it under an Italian restaurant but yelp has it under Greek. This restaurant is not Italian. The arancini is not your traditional Italian type. They have their own spin on it and is very delicious. The seared scallops are served with seasoning and presented in a shell. The short ribs were served with homemade pasta and a brown sauce. The Greek donuts are AMAZING! Definitely recommend. Hub and I had tickets to a show at Hampton Beach Casino last night and we went in search of a restaurant close to the venue where we could have dinner before the concert. After a Yelp search we settled on Tino's Kitchen + Bar. We were very pleased with this choice. We were looking for a healthier option than the many fried seafood places available to us. Tino's emphasis on Mediterranean fare sealed the deal for us. We arrived at 6:00 and had an option to sit indoor or on the patio. Despite the beautiful summer evening we opted for indoor and we were promptly seated at a high top table near the bar. We each ordered a Makers on the rocks to start, and got an excellent pour on the drinks. Next, I sampled four NH coast oysters from the specials menu. The oysters were small but tasty. For our entrees, I had the wood-grilled Statler Chicken with Brussel sprouts and I swapped out the polenta for wood-grilled asparagus. Hub ordered his meal from the starters menu: a bowl of creamy tomato soup and an order of the bison meatballs.He was pleased with both. I loved the Statler Chicken dish. The herb jus in which it was served was deeply flavorful, and all the components were perfectly grilled. I would order this again on a return visit. And I would definitely visit again. Called Tinos/Galley Hatch around noon from a hospital just over the Mass. line on St. Valentine's day, Feb. 14th.......asked for an early dinner seating for that very evening. Asked for a 5 p.m. seating, they said happy to accommodate you, asked for my phone #, when I gave them a (203) a/c, there was a pause........I said visiting our new day-old grand-daughter from CT, hehe, so "just visiting" the lovely state of NH! Reservation was for 3, could not pull son away for his "new baby", so wife and I showed at Tinos roughly 5 minutes late for our 5 p.m. dinner..... When we walked in, the hostess said "congratulations on the new grand-daughter" before we even uttered our name! Talk about service! She said " I have a table for you right over here", and led us to a nicely-decorated table with red roses/baby's breath in a small vase. The maître d, "Mike" immediately came over and warmly congratulated us as well, and started us off with a complementary gratulatory glass of fine champagne! Again, talk about service! We felt like royalty there! I can honestly say, I have not had better service anywhere on the planet, ever! My wife & I started off dinner with a bottle of Greek cabernet sauvignon, (very good) and a couple of appetizers. The appetizers came, half-dozen Oysters Rockefeller, and the Poached Lobster Salad with Beets.............both excellent! "Oysters Rockefeller" were prepared in a way I never had them, but the ingredients meshed perfectly! Same with the "Poached Lobster Salad"; AMAZING!...........never had lobster "poached"; but it was succulent! The dressing really made the beets "pop", and my wife said "The beets are so good, I could make a dinner of just these beets!!!!!!" All the while, staff came by to congratulate us........hehe, 2 cooks, both very nice, Mike came by several times, OHHHH THE SERIVICE!!!!!!! Our entrees came, "14oz Ribeye Steak" for the wife, and "Grilled Halibut" for me, both excellently prepared and very delicious! We parted company after roughly 2 hours at Tinos, with take-out entree's for the proud new parents and the hostess insisted we take red rose/baby's breath flowers (they were really lovely) with us! When my wife said "Ill give them to the new mom" our hostess said "No, take 2! One for you, and one for mom!" I cannot say enough about Tinos........has to be the best restaurant my wife and I have ever dined at! When we go back to visit our grand-daughter, 1st stop...........Tinos!!!!!!!! read more

Last evening, I took my wife out to dinner for her birthday. I have to say it was better than expected. Not just a dinner, but an experience. Thank you to John Tinios for recommending that we eat at Tino's Kitchen in Hampton. We ate the Chef's Table and highly recommend it. The service was fantastic but the chef really topped it all off. Jill, the manager, helped with the meal planning in advance and offered to do wine pairing. Keeping things simple, we only chose the entree's protein and let the chef get creative with everything else. Kaz had a filet mignon and I had salmon. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff was super positive and welcoming. For 2 hours we were served amazing surprises of appetizer courses that were absolutely delicious and so we'll presented, followed by the main course and then dessert. Everything made fresh, from scratch, and right before out eyes as we had a view into the open-style kitchen from our seats and the pleasure of watching the master chef in action all night. I really can't rave enough about the entire experience from the moment John contacted me through working with Jill to plan the meals and then how well the staff catered to our every need and desire. This is our third time here since they opened and we live just down the street. The food is very tasty but very small portions and pricey. The $8.95 salad was one cup of field greens which probably cost $1.00 to make. Tonight they had live music which was nice but as a another reviewing commented very loud and not enjoyable. Greek salad was good but small, the feta cheese was excellent. Octopus was so dry and mealy, nothing like what you find in Greece!. Steak tips were ok, again nothing special. Apple crisp desert was good. Ambience was great, not too loud. Overall, mediocre. With so many choices in the Seacoast area, won't be back. read more

Great atmosphere. Had octopus and roasted vegetables to start. Both were good but very skimpy portions. I understand the octopus being small but carrots and parsnips? Next we had gyros. I had chicken, my husband lamb. Both of us were disappointed with the form and amount of the contents. There was maybe 2 ounces of meat, a dusting of everything else and a big piece of pita. Why is customer service in restaurants so underrated? The first time we went to Tinos the service was below average at best. We decided to give it another try. Granted is was on a Saturday night but still expected to receive decent service. We had a reservation for two and arrived just after a party of three with no reservation. We were sent to a tiny, and I mean tiny, high top table right next to the bar, while the three with no reservation went to a nice cozy booth next the the window. First strike. Our waitress came over right away, and I mean right away without having a chance to look at the drink menu. Since we weren't ready with a drink order she went away and did not return again for a good 15 minutes. After putting in our drink order, we waited for another 20 minutes for the drinks to come. Our drinks came then we put in an appetizer order and also main meal order since we didn't know when we'd see her again. We waited. And waited. By this time our drinks are gone as well as our waters. I wasn't crazy about my drink. It contained some kind of bitters which the waitress described as a cucumber martini. It had a terrible after-taste but could not voice my dislike because our waitress was nowhere to be found. At this point we had been there for a full hour before I called her over and asked if she forgot the appetizer order. She said she put it in but the deck was very busy. Not my problem but I do understand if the kitchen gets backed up. When the food did come, and this is my pet peeve, the appetizer AND the meals all came at once. The host actually helped bring the food to the table and we expressed our disappointment about the appetizer not showing up first. He wasn't very apologetic and just scooted away. We ate our meals and didn't really touch the appetizer because our meal would get cold, plus there was not much room left on the table! The food was good but as I think about it, would I rather have good food over good service or the other way around. I actually think service is as important if not more important than the food. You go out to eat to be treated well and have a nice experience. When you get treated poorly it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. read more

Superbly prepared food that reminded me of the best I have had in Spain and Italy (simple, fresh as can be, classic flavors). And they have some very good old-world style wines which I prefer. Really cool open kitchen design and heated deck. The chef is the same dude from Pesce Blue who cooked at the James Beard house in NYC. If I had to be nitpicky, I would say tamper down the Greek music a bit. Short of hopping a flight to the island of Tinos, this place transported me back to the Mediterranean flavors I learned to love in Europe. read more

Beautiful decor inside and on the heated deck area, nice menu but a bit limited for me, exceptional service from everyone we encountered including the chef who delivered out meals himself. Great menu, great food, inexperienced (but pleasant) waitstaff. Chef and atmosphere (we sat outside) were fantastic. The owner may be Greek but I don't think anyone from the management on down are, so they aren't versed in Greek culture or traditional Greek food However, this is not a traditional restaurant. The avgolemono soup is to die for and certainly was not prepared in any way that I was accustomed to. Definitely a restaurant you must try. I will go again and again to try so many of the different menu items. Try a Greek wine from their extensive list. Because service is a bit slow, consider your time to be spent leisurely - best with a group, invite some lively friends. It's the Greek Way!! read more

I waited two days after dining there to write this review because I wanted to be as objective as possible. I have been to many Greek restaurants over the years and have never walked out hungry. I can't say that any more. Never have I seen such skimpy, cheap portions. Ordered Octopus and received a piece about 2 inches long that was overcooked and flavorless. Ordered a side of roast vegetables and received, literally, about a two ounce serving. The Gyro had four tiny, very thin slices of meat. My wife and I spent about $70 on dinner, including tip, and walked out hungry. That price did not include drinks as we only drank water. In all fairness, the service was excellent. In summary, food quality was mediocre, at best, portions were very skimpy and prices were much higher than they should have been for what they were serving. read more

Yesterday we were searching the internet for a Greek restaurant after a long drive.....we found Tinos and we are so glad we stopped in. The food was wonderful, presented beautifully and true to its name. Being Greek myself I'm picky, and the food was fabulous!
