OK, but not thrilled since it looks bad. I do't wear these boots too often since I have several pairs. i just noticed they also scraped the leather with the stitcher on the same boot. The leather is actually a little thinner now in this spot. The scrape runs parallel to the welt in an area where normal wear would not cause the scrape. In addition, the scrape shows up in a picture I took immediately after the resole. It appears they covered up the scrape with brown polish or another shoe product. They did not mention any of the issues when the boots were picked up by a family member that lives near Peoria. Do not recommend, and I will not use them again.

As it turned out, I was able to buy the Vachetta leather straps and they stitched them on. They only charged me $40 which was great! Ramon's was the second place I tried and both gave me comparable estimates for new leather straps - $65! That's actually more than the bag costed, but since it's a set, I decided to suck up the cost and have it done. Ramon's has good customer service, they gave me a reasonable date for when the work would be completed and they did a good job with the straps. I didn't care for having to pay in cash vs. being able to use my credit card - but aside from that, I'd say overall it was good.
