STAY FAR AWAY! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE! I called to schedule an appointment and the person was rude. He asked how many windows I was getting tinted and I told him I wasn't sure as this was a gift but that I would call the person and get back to him. Despite my better judgment, I called back and let him know it was 2 windows. He decided to add a little jab, "I told you! People don't always want 4 windows tinted". He was very proud to be right based on an assumption as I never asked for a set number of windows to be tinted. I booked an appointment 2 weeks out where he went back and forth telling me I should do it sooner. After a few minutes, I finally got him to book the appointment for the day I was requesting. He told me my options were to be there at 8:30am or 9am but no other details. I didn't want to engage further with the man seeing as this was for my friend. Well, we show up to the appointment and the same person is tinting another car. Which is odd if I made an appointment to get a car tinted for that morning. He asked, "what do you want?". I told him I had an appointment at 9 am. He goes and checks and sees that my name is written down. He obviously double booked himself. He then asks me, "what we doing", so I let him know it's for my friend so that they can discuss the details. He tells him. "Ok, we are doing the front windows to match the back factory tints. It will be $80 more for ceramic. You want ceramic or regular tints?" My friend asked for ceramic. He replied with,"k, where's your keys? It will be done later today. Want me to call you when it's done or at the and of the day at 3?" So I stepped in to ask how long would the work take. This is when he decides to give me attitude the same as he did on the phone. "I told you on the phone that it is all day". Ok, I just count in my mind and ask. Well, you said we can have you call when the work is done or at the end of the day. So, how long do you think it will take. At this point he decided to be as condescending,"well I said we close at 3 so it will take until 3pm. I always go over the tint and times on the phone it is not my fault you forgot". This is what pissed me off. I let him know it wasn't possible he explained the tints since I wasn't making the decision on the color and he never told me the time. At which point I asked for the keys back and I told him there was no reason to be rude and I will not be supporting their business. It was clear to me that he booked another car in our time-slot and was trying to pass the blame on to me and I don't appreciate that. I have gotten tints at another business and they set my appointment on the phone, gave me a timeframe, and told me they would show me the different level of tints when I arrive so I would be feel comfortable with my choices. They made sure to explain the differences and made me feel comfortable with my decision before moving forward with the work. Their service was great as they provided the basic customer service a person deserves. This person did none of that. He didn't care about helping the customer one bit. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I had bought a gift card as a present for Christmas and scheduled our appointment for today, Saturday June 5. "first thing" is what we were told. we were not sure how many windows or what darkness we were going to do,so we were hoping to talk to the owner and figure it out.we arrived to the store at 8AM ( which to us is first thing, as the website,voicemail,and sign on the window indicate as far as when they open). We didn't want to leave the keys and car, because as stated before, we didn't know what we wanted. We waited for 20 minutes (until 8:20) and left.we left a voicemail stating that we were there and could not wait any longer and to please call us back when they came in. We got a call back around 8:50 and immediately sensed an attitude problem from the owner. Instead of simply apologizing for any misunderstanding or inconvenience and moving on, he sounded annoyed and said he tells everyone 9AM and the at we could have dropped the keys and left the car. We still wanted to bring the car in for tints,so we went back. I did mention the inconvenience and the owner told me "it's not MY fault man" and that he has been doing this for 30 years and tells everyone 9AM. After some more back and forth , he did say he wanted to move on and still do the car, but he had such a bad attitude and continued to try to make it seem like we messed up or did something wrong. We asked to get our money from the gift certificate refunded ,which he did. It was an overall poor experience. Very unprofessional for a business owner to argue with customers like that. Very unprofessional to have a sign on your window and website and hours on the phone system say you open at a certain time, but then just open whenever you feel like it, apparently, and argue about it when called out by a customer. Overall poor experience with this tint master location. If I could give him 0 stars, I would. It should also be noted that I had had my SUV windows tinted at Mr Tint in Wethersfield a month or so ago and had such a great experience. They were professional, friendly, and my windows were done in under 2 hours. Do yourself a favor and go there. read more

After several phone calls to get a rough estimate and establish a day to pick a tint (all of which seemed to be a great inconvenience to this employee) I arrived at the Berlin location to select a shade. Immediately on arrival, I was greeted by an employee shouting 'were closed' 'you need an appointment' and 'look at the door' before anything else. Eventually I realized this was the same employee that seemed to struggle lifting a phone to his ear and talking to customers that I had dealt with prior. Even after acknowledging the previous discussions had taken place, the piss poor attitude continued. I questioned what exactly the issue was, and he seemed quite put out by the fact that he would have to unlock the door and let one of us in. I asked if I had done something to warrant this response, questioned the one sided hostility and got 'see there you go again' in response and thats it. I suppose the customer is meant to shut up, pay and blindly accept whatever the result is. I not so politely told him Id be happy to go elsewhere, I did, and couldnt be happier. I wouldnt trust this man with a fast food order, let alone my car. read more
