tl;dr - These are suuuuuuuuuper cute and yummy! Will definitely be back for more. The boyfriend was coming over to watch a football game and I had a variety of appetizers all lined up. The only missing item was dessert and as I was driving down Florida Ave, I saw the Open sign for Tiny Bites and made a U-turn to try this new-to-me place. Very glad I did! I'm sorry if I get these names incorrect, but this is what I recall getting: Pina Colada, Lemon Meringue, Key Lime Pie, Fluffer Nutter, Tiramisu, and Pecan Pie. The proprietor threw in a Creme Brulee at no extra charge. We split all of them in half to try except for the Fluffer Nutter since I don't like peanut butter like that. The boyfriend loved the Pecan Pie, Pina Colada, and Creme Brulee the best. I agree! Word of warning: the pecan pie has a little syrup (or something) at the bottom that oozes out if you cut it in half the way we did. Very sweet, but also very reminiscent of pecan pie! The tiramisu was the least favorite for both of us. Too coffee-y. I would really love to have these served during a catered party, maybe five per guest so people can really sample a lot. Lovely, small shop that really emphasizes the care they put into each of their desserts. We tried their banana milkshake and it was a perfect balance of sweetness and banana flavor. This is for my people whose go to items are cheese, bread, and microwave meals. See a trend here? processed foods. Nothing was genuine or made in house. Each and every ingredient in the tiny bites say it all. It all tasted pre-cooked or pre-made and out of a can. I could make most of those tiny bites with ingredients I have at home. We were excited, though, the tiny bites themselves were super fun and put on a great display. They just didn't have the flavor to back it up. I think it's a fun idea and great for parties and but just needs a fresh spruce, some pizzazz! I would focus on maybe a few delicious homemade fillings. Delicious spot that offers adorable "mini" bites of make-your-own creations! I know "Mini" everything is a big thing right now, but it's honestly really nice to be able to try so many diff flavors without stuffing yourself. I take about 2 bites per "bite" so it's easy to try more than one! You have 3 diff pie crusts to choose from (regular, chocolate, and graham cracker), loads of different fillings, and cute toppings too! The crusts look hard, but once you bite into them they're soft and delicious without crumbling to pieces. My personal favorite is the s'mores bite...marshmallow cream and chocolate...how could you go wrong! The only item I wasn't a big fan of was their macaroons. Desserts are made to order -- basically you choose from a list of desserts from the menu on the counter and they squirt filling into premade pastry shells. Very cute concept, desserts are reasonably priced. We got 9 desserts for $12.50. We ordered creme brûlée, key lime, strawberry, raspberry, Boston creme, and a pina colada. Key lime was very good and so was the raspberry and strawberry. Creme brûlée was a little too sweet for me. They also do custom cakes to order and they are beautiful! Their crowning glory - it's hard to imagine topping this is the s'more cup pie. I love s'mores, but recipes with them are tricky. They are often too sweet or just do not taste like a s'more. This is literally a s'more. The cup pie is a graham cracker crust with chocolate and marshmallow torched to perfection. The bakery has a nice community feel to it. The staff and owners are friendly and the restaurant is clean. This is the perfect place to sit with a friend and a cup of Tiny Bites coffee. Or maybe a book and an espresso. This bakery surpassed all my expectations with a custom cake I ordered for my moms birthday. I wanted a Day of the Dead inspired cake since moms birthday falls within the week and they nailed it. I provided a picture that I found on the Internet of the look I was going for and they matched it perfectly. I provided the skull sugar top but all the piping and side work was all them. My mom was so in love with the cake and the restaurant we had her lunch at was so impressed by the amount of detail. Not only was it beautiful, the cake was moist and very fluffy.
