We both thought the food didn't taste like real Korean bbq, but did taste okay. We liked the vegetables and grains. The serving of the pork was VERY small, but tasted good. We got our food via a 3rd party, but my blame is on Corelife for not including the Rosemary Potatoes. To make matters worse, their prices in the app were $1.50 more expensive so we were out $5 instead of $3.5 in real life menu prices. Since we got delivery, couldn't speak to ambiance of it being good or bad.

That said, I ordered a sweet potato bowl; it came with both black beans and chickpeas - there were ZERO sweet potatoes, and about 5 black beans and 5 chickpeas for the entire bowl. Hardly any quinoa as well. Just all spinach & sauce. I do not mind paying for higher quality food but when you are served filler for premium prices, I take issue. The food TASTES good if they actually give it to you but the lack of the said offerings is a huge bummer & would keep me from ordering from here again as it it not inexpensive for the meal. Really disappointed. If it's more expensive and I get my money's worth - then ok! But I feel like I was robbed a bit on their offerings (per their own menu) & while the food is good, the value is about the worst I have experienced. Very let down by this place. Not pictured is a sweet potato bowl with zero sweet potatoes and almost no protein, which I paid $3+ extra for ....... This is not how a restaurant should do business. Really let down.

I don't want to hold it against them if the price of keeping fresh ingredients is sometimes running out of chopped green onions every so often. I tend to go during odd hours to eat so I'm usually not in a lunch or a dinner mix. For this reason, the place isn't crazy busy, leading to nice undivided attention. I do see it possibly becoming an issue if it was to get super busy. Each bowl is made-to-order, which means every customer gets full attention from ordering to check out. Maybe it's because the business hasn't picked up enough to warrant having a full assembly line like your Subways and Chipotles of the world. We'll have to see. As I was saying, ingredients are fresh, which is half of the battle for poke bowls. Sauce and side choices are very good, and best of all, your dollar goes a long way. I can easily fill myself up with relatively healthy bowl of poke for around ten bucks, and you get free miso soup!! Considering any fast food meals will cost a good fifteen bucks these days, I'm happy I can opt for a healthy choice for less.

I am having a weird mental health day today, feeling sorry for myself for gaining 19 pounds in a…read moreyear and a half, so after running some errands, I got myself a late lunch of the only healthy thing I could think of - a poke bowl. They aren't cheap, but I am in my poke bowl era right now, and Hawaii Poke is the only poke bowl to-go place near my boyfriend's house. We had gotten take out from here about a year ago but I never bothered to write a review until now. Located in a very busy shopping plaza, Hawaii Poke is a happy sight among all the chain restaurants nearby. The interior is plain and basic and the counter with the ingredients is nothing fancy, but it was a popular place at 1:30pm on a Friday afternoon! So that's a good sign. So not only was I trying to be healthy, I was also trying to be cheap so I only got the one scoop build your own bowl ($11.99) and no extras. Portions are surprisingly large, as you can see in my picture, and it took me about an hour to eat when I got home. After getting unlimited toppings at AA Poke in Fort Wayne, I am always now sad to see when poke places limit the number of toppings. But anyway, let's briefly mention the quality of ingredients. The tuna I got wasnt the freshest and the carrots looked a bit brown but everything else was tasty! I also liked the sweet chili sauce I got. And I will never get a poke bowl that doesn't have edamame. Edamame is a must! This might still be a high calorie lunch(sauces and rice are not low calorie!) but I FEEL healthy and that was what was most important for my mental health today.

The servings are generous, I'm always satisfied after eating here. It's never been busy and the service is fast. I often order for pickup, which says it will take 20 min, but it's always ready in about 10. There's plenty of stool- counter seating if you want to dine in. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the area!
