If you have wavy or curly hair STAY AWAY from Michael!!! I get my hair done twice a year, and I've never had someone tangled my hair into such a mess where I felt like I did something wrong. My color was okay, my usual stylist from Irvine does an amazing job and could have given me a more natural look. This time around I chose to get my hair done In Palm Springs since my husband had a tournament. I found this place and they had amazing reviews so I went in but I was far from impressed. After 3 hours, I paid almost $300 for Michael to tangle my hair, NOT tell me, and proceed to ask me if my hair is always that tangled, even though I've never had this problem before and then proceed to not tell me about the additional charges even though it would have been nice to have been warned. Not to mention I left with the most ridiculous haircut, I had to go back to get it fixed and even then i felt like a bother. I had to point out every mistake instead of him taking ownership and saying I see it, let me work on it. So now I have to go to another stylist to fix my hair and spend even more money since Michael did such a bad job. read more

Again never got my refund , got charged for a "haircut" when my hair was never cut or even trimmed, got charged for a full hair dye when my hair was patchy , got blamed for my previous hair choices an everything bad that can happen at a salon happened here. We had a family wedding to go to in Joshua Tree. We're not local and we put the fate of our look in the hands of Tiny Bubbles. Tom did my granddaughter's hair into a pretty bun with braids on the sides, Darren curled my dil's hair and the extensions she brought in, and Michael did my updo. All three of us were so pleased. We thought the salon was lovely, and the prices were reasonable. Highly recommend. read more

I just want to give a HUGE thanks to Darren for making my hair the most beautiful it's ever been. I'm a platinum blonde, which is very difficult to get right, but he went above and beyond my expectations! It was ice white, no damage, silky, and the toner has barely faded after 6 weeks. I had so many issues in the last 8 years I've been platinum, especially with it turning yellow in two weeks with other hair dressers. He is also so fun to talk to. The salon offers champagne, beverages, snacks, pastries, water, coffee etc as well. I'm willing to drive 2.5 hours from Hollywood to this salon to get my hair done everyone in there is very lovely as well to talk to. read more

I came here a couple days ago to get my hair cut, colored, and thinned out. The people there are very nice and my hair seemed to turn out great when I left. The next day when I went to put hair up in a bun I noticed there was a random chunk of significantly shorter hair sticking out the back as shown in the picture attached. I'm super disappointed by this because I paid $160 for the service and otherwise my hair turned out great except for that one extremely short piece. read more

I could not have chosen a better salon while visiting Palm Springs. First, Michael cut my hair. It looked amazing. My husband commented right away. He almost never remarks on a hair style/cut. my hair is easy to blow dry, and style. The mark of a great cut. I needed my color done a week later. Tried desperately to see Michael or Nathan. They are very popular. There was a cancellation! I lucked out. I got an appointment with Nathan. He is also quite skilled. He listened, and gave ideas as well. I was pleased with the results right away. Nathan however saw something that he wasn't happy with. He added 20 minutes to my appointment, to get the color up to his standards. It's so pretty. Again, the compliments from friends and family were unanimous. Everyone likes the new color better than before. I do too. I took pictures after each appointment to show my stylist at home! Only one drawback: these talented stylists are in Palm Springs. I live in Chicago. I don't think my hair will look this good until my next vacation. read more

Jamie is absolutely incredible! I'm from out of state (Chicago) and went to Tiny Bubbles for a hair cut and blonde balayage. I was so impressed by Jamie's talent and genuine personality. Long story short, I came back to the salon two days later because Jamie was able to schedule me last minute (had to fly back to Chicago) for a hair extension application! Jamie made sure no one else in the salon wanted to do it, which showed how considerate he was of the business. I was in love with my hair and left the salon very happy both times. This was my first time at Tiny Bubbles and first time with Kaycie and I am very happy with both! Everything went very smoothly I felt welcome and the services provided were great. I booked a facial and brow wax/shaping with Kaycie and could not be more pleased. Her knowledge and confidence clearly showed! The environment was clean, tidy, and relaxing. I had the enzyme facial with Kaycie a few weeks ago. It's pricey, but if you want an effective facial (vs. a relaxing facial), it's worth it! Kaycie took before and after pictures (I'll try to post them), and you can see my skin looks more taut and fresher. Kaycie spent the time to analyze my skin, suggest options, introduce me to new products...she is clearly very knowledgeable. And she is great to chat with during the process. I'm also very happy with the DMK products I purchased for my home use. (Again, not cheap, but you really need very little product to see a difference). I went to Palm Springs for vacation and decided to get a haircut as part of my vacation experience. I went looking on Yelp and found the Tiny Bubbles Salon. I read a few reviews for other salons and came back to Tiny Bubbles since the name was so eye-cayching. I called to schedule an appointment. I requested either Michael or Nathan (based on the reviews I'd read). Michael T. wasn't available, but Michael H. was, so I scheduled my appointment with him. Moments after hanging up, I received a text confirmation of my appointment. Early on the morning of my appointment, I received a call from Nathan at the salon explaining Michael H. had called in sick. He asked if I could change my appointment to later that morning with Michael T. I said that would be great and seconds after hanging up I received a text confirming the update. The salon (which is a little tricky to find, trust the navigation) is adorable. Everyone there is very warm and friendly. Michael T. cut my hair and did an AMAZING job. He added a lot of shape and body to my short bob. I haven't cut my hair since, it still looks great and I still get compliments. I'm sorry to make this review so tl;dr, but I was very impressed and very happy with my experience at Tiny Bubbles. I would absolutely drive the two hours from LA county to go here again. I visited Tiny Bubbles for the first time for a vintage "updo" style with makeup. I knew the style I wanted (victory curls) was tricky and required a lot of time, creativity, patience and knowledge. Michael knew exactly the look I was going for and nailed it perfectly! It stayed perfect all night and even through the next day. I've attached pics because people were taking pics of my hair/makeup all night. On to my makeup.... Nathan prepped my skin prior to the makeup application. My skin felt luxurious and the makeup was flawless! I've never felt compelled to leave a review on anything before (ever!) but was so pleased with the outcome and I couldn't have hoped for a better outcome. Will definitely be coming back. I give 3 stars because the salon is cute and the stylist Sammy who did my cut was really nice. However I walked in with hair below my shoulders and A bit un even at the length and I asked for Sammy to even it out the best she could. What I got was my hair chopped off above my shoulders. It's short and now I have to wait for it to grow. It's also uneven at the bottom. Frustrated and upset that I spent $72 with tip. Won't be back So the owner Nathan responded with an excuse like he did on another's clients review which was not good. I'm sorry but instead of excuses my money should be refunded. I don't live locally so to drive back would cost me money. How can a salon charge $60 plus dollars when some of their staff don't cut hair worthy of $60. Now I have to find someone to fix it. Nearly three years of covid hair, scissoring inches off using my kitchen shears made a terrible mess. Visiting Palm springs only for a few days I took a chance, called, got an appointment right away with Michael H. He gave me the best haircut I have ever had plus he is charming and lovely and a delight. What a fortunate person I am. Highly recommend Michael, you will be so glad! The cut is perfect especially since it requires zero fuss or styling after I wash it. Michael is genius , and utterly adorable. I found Tiny Bubbles through my online searches and stopped in to take a look at the salon. The place is beautiful, clean and very stylish. The woman at the front desk took a look at my hair, listened to what I was looking for and recommended Nathan, the owner. I love the haircut Nathan gave me! He understood my thick hair, gave me a great short haircut that is just what I wanted. I will be back! They were also upfront with the pricing and he also recommended a shampoo (that I asked about) to remove the minerals from the hard water here in Palm Springs.
