Everything about our experience with Tiny Tom was top notch. The responsiveness of all the personnel from the top down was polite and prompt (which had not been the case with another company we called first). Our serviceman Al showed up on time, with a courtesy call ahead of his scheduled arrival. He introduced himself as an employee and took time to answer any questions I had. You could really tell that he cared about educating his clients about proper fire safety and fireplace maintenance, and as a first-time wood-burning fireplace owner and a mom of three, I so appreciated that. He clearly explained how he was going to repair our chimney cap (which we'd been told by another company needed complete and pricey replacement), the invoice was reasonable and fair with no hidden costs, and the work was performed efficiently and without hassle. Bought a house in Toledo last year and had them come out to do an inspection before using the fireplace. They said everything was fine. When I lit the fire it smoked up the whole house - smoke smell coming out of the 2nd story into my closet too. I called them and the owner was rude saying I had lit the fire wrong. Had them come back out and their tech lights the fire - same thing. Then when he looks more closely, the finds that the flue is not sealed and sitting properly in the bottom vent of the fireplace (sorry I don't know the technical terms). So in other words, they missed it the first time! For a pro should have been something they spotted during the inspection! Says it will cost more than $1 thousand to fix it and is going to give me an estimate. That was 5 months ago - no word since. I'm done with them. read more

They did sweep the chimney but never returned or rescheduled for repairs. Now i don't trust that we really need repairs so called another company to inspect the chimney. read more

Last year, I had Tiny Tom's chimney services out to clean the chimney and make sure it was fit to burn a fire in the fireplace as we had just purchased the home. The man that came out was very friendly, and I thought had taken care of everything that needed to be taken care of for $1200. a few weeks ago I was having some roof work done and one of the workers brought me pictures of my chimney where the top coating was peeling off and there were cracks down the side that needed to be repaired. I called Tony Tom's to have them come out and redo the work they had done last year. Frank arrived hours later than the appointment was scheduled for and proceeded to trash the employee who had originally done the work . After he inspected the chimney, he gave me an estimate for $2500 fir things that supposed needed addressed. He never repaired the original work that he had come out to do. I had another contractor, from a different company, come out and looked at the chimney. The contractor said that nothing on that estimate needed to be done and the chimney was in good shape except the cracks down the side and the product that Tiny Tom's had put on the cap was incorrect and had peeled off. The contractor made all the repairs necessary, took pictures of everything, and assured me that everything was good to go. I was only charged $650. read more

This company is a severely unprofessional. They showed up on time for a chimney clean and said I needed some repairs. I paid a deposit and then they were gone. The first visit they just didn't show up. After that, I kept getting calls from the office (the day before) saying they needed to reschedule. On the 5th time - over a month after I paid my deposit - they told me they actually weren't coming and they couldn't help. This was the worst customer experience! Stay away! read more

They quoted me $189.00 for a simple job. the work they did was disconnect a gas line so we could burn wood and sweep the chimney. When they were done they asked for a check for $540.00 which is absolutely unacceptable. read more
