Great food and cool atmosphere! The wait staff are always friendly and polite and anticipate the customer's needs ex: offer drink refills when my glass is half empty, bring me Tabasco before I ask for it because they remember that I like it. They remember all the little things which makes me keep coming back not to forget the wonderful cook who makes my order to perfection! It's a shame that they have received some negative comments, as I always have a pleasant experience every time i dine there. While dining at Tiny's I have overheard customers giving very weird orders or having a million special requests and I don't mean because they have an allergy. I mean some of the customer's can be really annoying and demanding, yet the wait staff still meet their demands and treat them respectfully. I don't feel that some customers realize how difficult waiting on tables can be at times. Waiting on tables is not preforming brain surgery of course , however being a waitress myself I can empathize. I do my best and aim to please the customer because I want them to be comfortable and have an enjoyable dining experience and look forward to coming back again. If you have never waited tables before, bartended, was a cook, a busser, food runner, dishwasher or delivery person then maybe before you decide to write a negative review you should put yourself in their shoes for a week and then see if you would think that their job is easy. And don't forget while you are in their shoes to be very friendly and accommodating while your customers are asking for a ton of annoying special requests on a busy day not caring that you might have other tab!es to tend to and they save the best for last when they don't even tip you whatever the going rate is 18 or 20%. It's one thing if the food didn't taste good or the wait staff was rude or didn't check up on you however if this wasn't the case and the dining experience was pleasant do tip well as many waiters live off their tips for those of you who might not have already known that. I was there for Columbus day breakfast, and given the fact that the place was packed at full capacity and they are brand new in the neighborhood they handled things very well. The waitress was very polite and very fast under the circumstances. I asked who the owner was and was directed to a colossal young guy who seemed to be all over the place trying to do check on the tables while staying on top of the cooks. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of the food as most other local joins are run of the mill boring. I did notice several complaints and food being taken back and forth but that's the case with every restaurant especially here in Riverdale where everyone thinks they have a culinary degree and are a food expert. I had the West Side Omelet and was very happy with the flavor and presentation. I wish them the best and really hope they succeed because we needed something new here, riverdale avenue is the new happening place. Plus I love the decor...there's a glowing ball of changing colors in the front window and a retro feel to the whole place. Way cool!! read more

Eek! This place sucks ass!!! I would rather go to YO Burger! I can't believe how lame my experience with this place was! Gosh it was slow as hell and the delivery guy was was most likely high on something!!!! I tried giving this place a chance for my wife, but even she thinks the service was extremely horrifying! Very bad service and the waitress kept calling me sweetie and its unprofessional and she should be trained better. She messed up our order and other peoples too. Everyone was pissed off in the Diner. I felt very uncomfortable with how I was treated and will not be going back. It was not the cooks fault he was very pissed at the two girls. Great neighborhood place. The waitresses make you feel like they know you and care. Elise the waitress is pure positive energy she cares about the customer. When I was choosing elise recommended the turkey pizza burger and it was delicious . The turkey was fresh the sauce & mozzarella topped it fabulously. Sweet potato fries perfectly done. I love coming back here whenever i am in Riverdale The only reason im marking a 4 star is since i just reviewed my favorite Diner (In northport) but this one comes close, and this is based on dozen of times I have came here! I have found the food better than Blue Bay, Land and Sea or Short Stop Coffee Shop, the service can be a little slow if it's busy, it really is a Tiny Diner. Have had decent sandwiches, burgers, omelettes, eggs benedict etc. and delivery has been generally good contrary to some of the old reviews here. Nice ambience and a friendly vibe. read more

Tiny's has greatly improved in the past six months. The burgers are now A+ and so are the fries. The Cobb Salad is enough for three healthy meals. The chicken avocado wrap is delicious. I plan to try the dinner specials soon. I urge those who ate here in 2012 to check it out again. I hope Tiny's Diner succeeds. read more

Don't come here!! We had been waiting for our food for 1 hour and the restaurant wasn't that busy. After 1 hour waiting the waitress said she just put our order.
