The service here is incredibly efficient. I've never seen a staff set and clean a table so fast before. They are also very attentive. The overall feel of the place is like a typical diner just on the smaller side. They play nice music too. The food is also really good Depending on what you get. I never read the reviews but found one that hit. Inconsistencies. I order the exact meal on the exact same day one week apart because it was such a great experience the first time. Unfortunately, nothing was the same. I feel in love with the Greek salad, 2nd time, not the same presentation or preparation. Looked like it was thrown haphazardly. Disappointed. Onto my entree...completely different presentation for a standard dish. Actually liked the taste on #2 but the portion was smaller and appeared not was fresh, like maybe reheated from a previous day? I don't know, want to say, they are good overall, slightly pricey, family loved their breakfast themed meals. Again, not bad , I was looking for a repeat experience. As I'm reading other reviews I see that it seems to be a common thing regarding the wait time. We were seated pretty promptly but had the busser passing us countless times. As courtesy when I am ready I like to close the menu and put it on the edge of the table so they know we are ready. It wasn't a busy day in the slightest so not sure why it took forever to put our order in. As for the food I ordered the Gyro Wrap and my boyfriend ordered the Griddle Combo. He also ordered a coke from the soda machine but it tasted a bit off. The food was just ok nothing special. There was another wait time to get the check. I literally asked 3 times for the check. I stopped by with my family and friends for lunch after spending some time in the area on Christmas morning. We knew that we were going to eat a lot that night at a family gathering, so we went for something simple. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato, bacon, and a diet coke. The grilled cheese was stringy and delicious. The cheddar was melted perfectly and didn't make the bread too moist. The toast wasn't burnt either so it was the perfect balance. The restaurant was also great about refills, and our food was made and served quickly. I also got a side of french fries and a pickle that were also really good. Unassuming building that is full of good food and character. Counter seating and booths make up the main part and there are more booths in the back. It is cozy and aisle walkway isn't big if you have any assistive devices. Waiters very attentive and friendly. Looked like a favorite for the locals. They have an outdoor place to sit which is nice and the Ac inside isn't overpoweringly strong. It's a calm environment. I'd recommend to friends catching up or family enjoying each other. Because of how it is I wouldn't take someone on a date here but after we've known each other for a while I would t mind bringing them here. Extremely disappointed with the way we were treated. My fiancé, who is 8 months pregnant, and I had just finished our meal when we were abruptly told we had to leave because they "needed the table." No courtesy, no consideration--just flat-out rude. When we calmly asked why, we were told we "can't be on our phones"--which was completely out of line, especially since we weren't disturbing anyone. To make things worse, the manager never even came to speak to us directly, despite the situation clearly needing proper handling. There was zero compassion or understanding of our situation. I've been going to this place every once in a while for the last 10 years, always good food and good service. Today I went with my kids and my husband and the waitress got mad at us because he was rushing us to have our order ready and we weren't. I have an autistic child and I was showing him how prepared his own coffee, he's type 1 diabetic too so I was explaining him the different sweet additives that he can use when he go to a restaurant, in the meantime my husband and my other son were looking at the menu (a extreme long/huge menu). I'm sorry but I'm not in a rush, and the funny thing is this Spanish servers just rush to Spanish costumers, they are all kind and sweet with white people and there's no way that they gonna have an attitude with them for taking their time. This place used to be so nice to go with the family before. On top of that the waffle fries were hard and the gravy was disgusting. For some reason we eat our food so fast just to get out of there, even one of my son said "that was fast, it was weird idk why I ate so fast" the environment was odd. They can get extremely busy and everything looks chaotic but some kind of way there's a method to their madness and they get people in and out relatively quickly. I treated my mom and her sisters here for breakfast.. We arrived around 9-930AM on a weekday and the place was busy but not too bad and we were seated right away. We chose to sit way in the back but it was a bit drafty. The diner is one of the old school spots that could use some TLC. The staff were very friendly and you can tell the place is frequented by a lot of locals. I ordered tea and everyone else ordered coffee and they all hated their 1st cup of coffee that they stated tasted old. They ordered another round and was pleased. I ordered the turkey, egg and cheese omelet that came with toast and home fries and tore my plate up. LOL I was satisfied with my food. However, my mom and aunts weren't too pleased with their food and stated it lacked flavor. Me and my mom are alike and will take home any leftovers but my mom didn't take any of her food home. The bathroom was small but clean. The parking lot was sufficient and we had no issues finding a spot. I ordered the special. A full meal. Chicken Cordon Bleu. Soup / salad were OK. Wife ordered all sides; mashed potatoes, onion rings and a soup. When my entrée came out, I cut into it, and just before biting, looked @ my fork. GAH!!! an entire rolled sheet of raw chicken. I mean RAW. Throughout. The waitress asked if everything was OK. I showed her the raw chicken, and she just kind of hovered there... like a squirrel in the headlights. I asked "please take this back, hand me the menu, and I'll order another entree." Meanwhile, they gave me a baked potato; no sour cream / no butter. And the wife was gazing at a heap of mash w/ no butter / gravy in sight. 10 min. passed, and I got up to find the waitress. We were forgotten. I asked her to drop by the table, when she was in the goddamn neighborhood. When she came I said "I'd like to order my entrée, now. And while we're at it... butter and sour cream, and gravy for the mash!" 30 min later, no entrée, I said "bring a doggie container w/ the entree. I'm not sitting here and eating, 30 min. after my wife has finished." Annnyyyyway. No apology from the manager or waitress, no "compliments of the house" cappuccino or dessert, for being served chicken as raw as sashimi, then waiting another 30 min. for a second entree. In fact, they decided to cold shoulder me. Passed the table 10x and never cleared a single glass or dish off. I've been here over a dozen times in the last year, but this visit is my last. read more
