From top left: maple, coconut, sour cream, plain cake, glazed twist, cinnamon sugar (those others are all FREE glazed donut holes)

Old school donuts. In fact, the only other customer in the store with me at 6am was a cop. The cashier was very nice and not at all impatient with me while I hesitated over what to choose. He asked me if I'd been there before and when I sad "No" he gave me a free donut in a separate bag "free donut for first timers" he said. And all the donuts were fresh and delicious!

The donuts are delicious. I love that they just throw in a couple glazed donut holes with your order. Staff was very friendly too

Great donuts but pricey--$18 for a dozen. But sometimes you just need a good donut. These are fresh a so good.

Yummy donuts at a hole in the wall type place! This is right off Cobb parkway so I stopped here spontaneously to get a donut. I got the glazed and they weren't very sugary which is good. The owner is nice and threw in a couple of glazed donut holes for free. Just as an fyi there is a $4 minimum for credit card.

Saw this spot while driving around and I had to stop. I got Boston cream donut and my friends got maple bacon. Boston cream was really good. To overly sweet and the cream was smooth and creamy. My friend loved their maple bacon donuts. They would not stop talking about it all day! Apparently this place made next door Dunkin ran out of business. I wouldn't be surprised if it's true.

I'm so glad that mom and pop donut shops still exist because this place deserves a recognition. The owner was super nice and their donuts, not to mention, are excellent! Every order also comes with free donut holes. My favorite is the chocolate glazed with sprinkles, but honestly you can never go wrong with anything from this place.

Donuts were fine. Taste like DD to me. Small selection for having gone in the morning. Unsafe part of town as well.

Fluffy, Freshly made... Mom said they have Boba Teas!! Which I am addicted to. And then I went in 2 days ago... I wanted to try frozen drinks that day... I bought 6 Donuts without the holes...( they gave the holes separately- I guess for free-- so sweet) 2 of chocolate Boston creams 2 of glazed donuts 2 of glazed with apple compote stuffing Then I bought a regular sized Mango Lychee Boba Tea with cream--- ohhh! It hit the spot in my heart and brain... loved it!! I am going back soon-- before you guys finish it!!

Nothing like gold bunny if you've had that but huge strawberry pieces & cream cheese texture - really liked this one The maple icing is delicious, sweet but very mapley The cronuts are good, not as good as five daughters bakery but this place is way closer. It's not as crispy or layered as I expected but it's noticeably different from their regular donut and I liked it! They have both yeast and cake donuts and the yeast ones have the Krispy kreme texture not Dunkin They also filled my long johns with Bavarian cream and that made them Soo much better I liked every donut I tried here & will definitely stop by again when I'm clothes shopping next time!

I think this place is worth checking out. This review is for the original location in Marietta. It opened in December 2015 and is still going strong. Doughnut Dollies opened two additional locations, both in Atlanta, but they've since closed: 1. The Collier Hills / Buckhead / Westside location on Howell Mill Rd opened in June 2019 and announced its closing in August 2024. https://www.instagram.com/doughnutdollies/p/C-3fWhvuMs3/?img_index=1 2. The Virginia-Highland location on Virginia Ave opened in August 2021 and was reported closed in June 2024. https://whatnowatlanta.com/virginia-highland-donut-shop-closes-another-could-be-moving-in/ Doughnut Dollies appears to change their menu monthly. There were 18 flavors when I looked, six available on weekends only. That said, we were able to get a Dulce de Leche doughnut, marked "weekend only," on a Wednesday afternoon. A couple of the more unique flavors included Raspberry Black Pepper and the Mikey. The latter was described as: "espresso cream-filled brioche Long John, maple, candied applewood-smoked bacon." A Long John is a bar-shaped, yeast-risen doughnut. They also sell a sour cream doughnut called the "Old Fashioned," probably because sour cream doughnuts were made as far back as the late 1800s. Other than that, the menu was pretty standard and not too exciting. There were lots of classic flavors and chocolate flavors. The store itself was cute and modern. Like other "gourmet" doughnut shops, Doughnut Dollies sells doughnuts a la carte. In other words, it's not cheaper to buy a dozen. The store also sells cookies and mini doughnuts. Here's what my wife and I snacked on: * Dollie ($4.00) - creme brulee-filled brioche tossed in sugar and bruleed * Apple Fritter ($4.50) - cinnamon brioche with roasted apple and vanilla glaze * Dulce de Leche (weekend only, $4.50) - cinnamon sugar brioche, housemade dulce de leche milk caramel We both liked the Dollie the best. It must be the shop's signature doughnut because of the name. The creme brulee filling was terrific. Overall, the doughnut had a yummy texture and delectable creaminess, and it wasn't too sweet. My wife and I disagreed on Nos. 2 and 3. She liked the Apple Fritter second best, but it was the Dulce de Leche for me. The latter was super sweet (sugar-coated) and had a rich, sticky caramel center. My wife thought it was too one-dimensional. She loves apple fritters and thought the Apple Fritter doughnut was enjoyable, despite the cinnamon being overbearing. The doughnut was a bit dry. I found that to sort of be the case for the Dulce de Leche doughnut too. I'm glad I finally got to try some doughnuts from Doughnut Dollies. I had it bookmarked on Yelp for many years. Back when I went into the office in Marietta, pre-COVID, I recall a coworker telling me about Doughnut Dollies. That's how long it's been. I look forward to trying different flavors in the future.
