Literally drove away from this place with a dozen donuts and a dozen donut holes for less than I would've paid for just a dozen donuts at Dunkin Donuts, which used to be just a few steps away. DD chose the wrong place to compete with. This place was such a great deal! But don't let the cheap prices fool ya! This place is so delicious! Their donut holes were mouthwateringly light and fluffy on the inside with a golden sugar glazed exterior. We tried the sour cream donut, and this delightful piece of heaven just melts in your mouth. My bf and I also got strawberry filled, blueberry filled, lemon filled, glazed, and chocolate almond. My bf and I like to stop by here before long road trips to get donuts for the family. Today is my first day back at Kennestone after leaving for a year, so I thought I would bring my old floor and my new unit some doughnuts :) What I thought was unfortunate that Krispy Kreme wasn't open at 0500 was actually a miracle in disguise because it led me to here! I called tip top during my 80 mile commute at 0500 for 4 dozen assorted doughnuts for a pickup at 0615. When I pulled up at 0612, my doughnuts were sitting and waiting for me. Took me 2 minutes to park and grab them and pay. This shop is off of Cobb parkway and I believe opens super early. The owner I assume was very sweet and seems like a family owned business. They were sweet, efficient and made my rush of a morning a breeze. The doughnuts were also delicious. Everyone was very impressed. When my husband and I were looking for a breakfast spot this morning, we decided that we couldn't NOT go to this local donut shop that had 5 stars on Yelp with nearly 100 reviews! Tip Top was a cute little local donut shop that popped up near the corner of 41 and Allgood. Their menu isn't long, but what they offer, they do right! We got a breakfast sandwich, a dozen donuts (with a few donut holes they threw in for free!), and a cappuccino (try the butter pecan...seriously...it will NOT disappoint!) - all for only ~$12. My favorite donuts were the strawberry sprinkles (frosting was YUM!), the crumb cake, and the sour cream donuts (with or without frosting, you really can't go wrong!). My husband's only complaint was that there wasn't an option for a sandwich with bacon (he opted for the ham instead - and said it was delicious). And I have to echo other reviews that I read - the service is EXCELLENT! Friendly staff who serve their delicious food with a smile. Don't drive by this Cobb Co. gem! read more

Must Go! I have driven passed by this place on a Sunday and saw a line out the door. This small donuts shop is off Cobb parkway. It can be a pain to access due to traffic. Parking can be limited especially on the weekends. Donuts .. There donuts are fresh made daily . Not frozen or shipped from food distributor. I have tried everything . The Apple fritters, Blueberry fritters, Glazed and Boston cream are my favorites. Dozen donuts are 7.50 . Toward the end of closing times the price of a dozen drops to 6-5 dollars . Sandwiches and drinks. In addition of there amazing donuts the offer Bagels and Croissants sandwiches. The ham egg and cheese croissant and the sausage egg and cheese bagel are best sellers . Because they always sell out. The drinks offers are coffee, cappuccino and hot chocolate. And assorted cold drinks at reasonable prices. The verdict. This one of my favorite breakfast stops in Cobb county. What funny is they had a Dunkin donuts move next door and closed down less a year. That tells you this place is solid.The service is consistent and fast. Even on weekend despite the long line there a short wait. You are in and out fast. 5 Stars Donuts and 5 Stars Customer Service! This is my third time stopped by Tip Top Donuts and they still exceeded my expectations every time. I remember the first time I was there about a month ago. I bought two crullers, sour cream and apple fritter. They all tasted fresh, soft and delicious. I particularly like the crullers because they were soft, lightly glazed but tasty. I found out that they were no longer making the crullers when I stopped by a week later. So I ordered blueberry fritter, apple fritter, Boston Cream, and sour cream... Tip Top Donuts met my expectations once again. The last time I stopped by and I special ordered a dozen crullers. They were light, soft and tasted delicious. The family who owns this donut shop is very nice. They seems enjoy what they do and trying to make the best donuts in town. The little donut shop that was bullied by corporate Dunkin D's opening up a location right next door cutting traffic from the local high volume gas station chain...and WON! We had to give ti a try. The donuts were actually fresh and soft, unlike the newly closed down chain that imposed itself next door - the donuts tasted like donuts not processed coffee. We tried several flavors and the apple fritters were so fresh & soft. We had lunch here so we had the turkey & cheese croissants and they were perfectly fresh - unlike your gas station chain option they were not frozen & messy. The most important factor here is the BIG smile you get when you enter the door. The owners are truly pleased to have your business. I went with chocolate sprinkle and blueberry which were great. The cake donut was a little too sweet but, it is a donut after all. I was looking for a maple bacon and took out to find this place. After reading the reviews on Yelp! I knew they would have what I was after. I arrived about 10:45 and wouldn't you know the only one sold out was the maple bacon. I got the maple long john and it was really fresh and super light with just the right amount of filling. I ordered 2 donuts and they tossed in 3 holes for no extra charge. I guess the early bird got the worm, or the maple bacon in this case, but seems like if that sells out maybe make more??? I was invited to come back the next day, but I was not from that area, so no second trip back for a maple bacon. I will keep searching local and report back. read more

The baker kept looking out at me and talking to someone but nobody came out. Folks behind me kept leaving and finally I did the same. Two words: maple bacon. I stopped in Tip Tip around 10:30am on a Saturday, and they were already out of the maple bacon doughnut. I asked if there were any more coming, and they kindly made me two more upon request. Gotta love good service like that! The doughnut was great, and well worth the extra $.50 and extra few minutes it took for them to make one fresh. They also threw a few doughnut bites in the bag for me. I didn't try any other flavors, but they didnt seem to have a wild variety of unique options (just the regular fritters, jelly filled, glazed, sprinkle, etc.) Thats the only reason i'm not giving them 5 stars. I didn't realize these were the folks who originally owned Ray's on Canton Rd. I'm glad to find out because this place is so much closer to me! While that may be unfortunate for my butt, my pie hole is quite happy about it! The donuts aren't even in the same stratosphere as those frozen discs of dough that you'll find next door. And not only does Tip Top kick their butts on the quality and taste of the donuts but they're also cheaper! The owners are very friendly and accommodating and you really just can't find a better donut shop. My church gets their donuts from there for Sunday mornings before service and I think I end up at church more often just for those donuts! read more

Wow! We had heard everyone raving about Tip Top so we decided to check it out. The donuts are fresh and delicious. The extra donut holes they threw in our order melt in your mouth. Best of all the prices are very reasonable! Donuts were $.80 each and a dozen was only $7.50. They just opened a Dunkin Donuts next door - their parking lot was empty. Everyone was at Tip Top! To be fair with this review, this was my first time and I did not go first thing in the morning. I'd say it was about 45 minutes to an hour before closing and I went on a search for a Maple Bacon donut. I had a craving and my closest choice (Paradise donuts has turned into The Dawg House and The Dawg House has turned into temporarily closed...). My second choice of Ray's donuts was a little farther in mileage so I chose to come to Tip Top. I got the one Maple Bacon donut left and ... well..as I took the bite I needed to satisfy my craving all I heard was violins of sadness playing in a disappointed Key. The poor little last picked at the kickball game donut was a little stale in resentment, but wouldn't you be if you were picked last? In attempting to make the assessment of maple glaze they used, it's a little closer to a Dublin' Donut vibe that I just can't get jiggy with! - After saying all this, there may be a day where I am in the area in the morning and is most certainly go in to give another assessment. At that time I get to pick from the Cool Kids of donuts! I won't go out of my way to go back, this is not a top choice, but if I'm in the area, I'd give it another shot over trying to find a Krispy Kreme. I prefer an authentic mom and pop donut shop donut. This used to be my favorite doughnut shop. I have taken my toddler son almost every weekend for the last three years. Even after moving 4 miles further away we have kept visiting because of the service and value. This activity is something my son looks forward to and talks about during the week. He loves the doughnut holes they put on top of the 1/2 dozen. Momma loves a specific doughnut as well. Unfortunately, the last three visits have been subpar. Sub par = not having the products we want. The first poor visit I wasn't concerned because they have been so good for so many years. The second poor visit I sensed a trend but was still not willing to quit the shop. Today the service took a very long time (one customer transaction took 14 minutes). And they did not have two of the three products we normally get for the third straight visit. I'm disappointed. We won't be back next week. :-( read more

I love this place. All of the donuts are so fresh, you can tell they're made there. The dough is so soft and airy, and ACTUALLY has flavor rather than dunkin where it just tastes like air, and krispey Kreme where it's all overwhelmed by the overly sweet glaze. Here, each donut has its own distinct and good flavor, and not to mention they're cheap as could be. What's not to love here??? Ps, it's total BS that a dunkin donuts opened up right next door. This place was more than words can describe! I've been to Donut Dollies and I'll have to say this place "Tops" Dollies AND Sublime in Atlanta! I came in the afternoon to see what kind of donuts were still available. I expected them to not be as fresh since it was the afternoon. I tried the sour creme, Boston Creme, and a fresh croissant. The donuts were so fresh, soft, and robust with flavor! I was so shocked! The owner is the most kind person and so accommodating. The croissant I had was like nothing I've ever tasted other than being in France. I don't know how this place isn't more well known or on some kind of food network channel. I decided to try this place because it was recommended in my area and the reviews are stellar. I was not disappointed. I bought half a dozen donuts and half a dozen fritters for my staff meeting, and they went so fast I didn't even get to try what I got for myself! I ended up going the very next morning and getting a blueberry fritter and a twist to try for myself. The fritters are absolute heaven. The donuts are good too, and the prices are actually cheaper than the larger chains!! As much as I love the donuts and the prices, what gets them five stars is the service. It is always clean and they are always so very courteous! I was helped by the same little older lady both times and not only is she sweet as pie, but I notice that with each of the orders I saw her prepare for me as well as the people in front of me, she sticks a few donut holes in with your order. Stopped in on a whim while running errands, customer service was great! Ordered a half a dozen donuts and an everything bagel.
