So this is your good ole fashion burger, breakfast, cheesesteak hut. You walk in and you smell the grease and smoke from the flat top grill. Just good tasting food for a good price. We got the cheesesteaks, fried zucchini, fries and a cheeseburger and we were stuff and pleasantly happy with our food. The person taking our order isn't the friendliest but isn't mean either he just wants to get down to business and get your order placed and handed to you. They have a few booths inside and some tables outside in the back of the restaurant. Definitely not a place to hang out and eat, though just order and take it home.

Growing up in SoCal, burgers are a big part of life. Beyond In-N-Out, there are plenty of great local spots. I remember my neighbor's burger joint -- a highlight of block parties. Fast forward to high school, and Tip Top became a regular spot, especially since I had friends in the area. After all these years, the quality is still just as good. The charbroiled flavor, the creamy thousand island dressing, and those perfectly crispy hot fries -- it's a winning combo. I was nearly done, but a gym date was calling. I asked for a to-go box, and the guy looked a little disappointed. We both laughed and joked, "Skip the gym, finish the meal!

So I was delivering. Items I sold on eBay. Got off the freeway, and I noticed the small little burger stand but it said Philly. Cheesesteaks. Dropped off the package drove back to little stand. Those approximately five people in line, I asked them, how is the food and everyone said, excellent. I wasn't that hungry. So I tried the burger and it was excellent. The philly cheesesteak looked great.Also here are some pictures plus the burger The bun wasn't really thick. It was nice and soft

Their burgers are done just perfectly, patty is not dry, bun is not crumbly when you bite into it, patty matches bun size! I had it with bacon and with avocado! Both times good amount of bacon and generous serving of guacamole style avocado. Fried zucchini is made to order! Small finger size keeps zucchini crispy longer! Onion rings are fresh made to order! Love everything burger and fried stuff out of this place! It's truly a burger flavor gem in the valley! I never sat inside to eat. I always took it to go!

Tip top is our go to when we're craving a good char burger, quick service, the workers are always so nice and honestly the have a large menu, this is a staple to the valley!

Small little spot in the valley. Easy spot to get to from the freeway and it made for a nice stop on our way back home up north. I had the Philly cheesesteak with grilled peppers and onions and it was delicious. Not your standard cheesesteak and I believe it could've either been a little juicier on the meat and maybe a little cheesier but it was nice and hot. Fries were well cooked but not seasoned so well and definitely from a bag. Still trying to find a local spot that makes homemade fries or rings. We also ordered an order of rings, which were delicious. Another freezer bag option but these were definitely the premium kind. Overall the service was provided by the owner and he was friendly and you could tell he runs a tight ship but overall nice and friendly service with a quick turnaround with the food. Good overall experience, with hot tasty food, along with eating inside, where it was nice and clean, for the little location they work with. A little pricy for the style of food but that had to be everywhere these days. If I had a chance I'd definitely go here again, maybe passing through and way better than the average fast food joint. I really wish you could give half stars because this place is definitely around a 4.5 for the style of food.

First timer here. The restaurant looks like authentic diner from 60s. They have a small dining area and a patio outside. The portion is big enough for one hungry person and the price was good. I got a philly cheesesteak with a soft drink and fries. The cheesesteak was really well seasoned and grilled and was delish! Fries was perfectly crispy and good. My order was ready in minutes. I noticed that people keep coming here, they have their regulars. I have to try their hamburgers next time as well! Good job and I recommend everyone to try this place

I love this place! The staff has always been very pleasant and welcoming. They truly appreciate their customer. Hands down... the best. Other should take notes on the basics of just being a decent person. The food has always been good. I literally have cravings for their Philly Cheese Steak with Hot Crispy Fries and an Ice Cold Beverage. Don't forget a side of the ranch for dipping your fries. The ambiance is classic. It's an older building with a small dining room with black and white signed pictures of actors and celebrities who are customers of Tip Top. Order the pastrami sandwich with French fries. Sandwich was hot and fresh plenty of meat and tastes well. Plenty of parking outside., inside there is couple tables to dine in might fill up quick . I would come back for lunch again. Service is straight forward.

I'm just giving my rating off the FOOD Had no problem with service. Food quality is mediocre as hell. I got a steak sandwich and chili cheese fries Steak sandwich was better than the chili cheese fries but still not the best (steak sandwich was still bland. Bread wasn't soft.. so def not fresh) Chili cheese fries was a waste of money. Nothing about it was good. Tastes like canned chili mixed with something unpleasant as the chili' cheese fries had a very off flavor.. horrible taste; as if it was expired. this place ain't it. Been trying to look for some amazing chili fries In the valley but this place let me know whose got one of the worsts. This place makes a great cheesesteak. Plenty of flavorful beef, gooey cheese, mushrooms and onions, on a soft roll. The french fries were tasty and crispy. Headed in here to get some of their famous foods with my friends since they recommended. Ordered and the cashier which I believe is the owner was so careless and passive. Not sure why. We placed our order and the next person placed their order speaking Spanish and there was a huge change in demeanor. He was nice to him. I love this place. I have been going for about 4 years now and it always tastes the same and that's a great thing. Owner is friendly, and very welcoming. The place has been around forever, and it is one of those mom and pop shops that just gives you that homey feeling/ambiance (maybe it should be renovated but that's the least of my concerns). Not bad, not bad. Tip Top Hamburgers does a lot of things but since 'hamburgers' is in their name, I figured it must be one of their staples. I went with the Chili-Cheeseburger. They made it just as I requested (pickles, tomato and mustard - nothing else), and it was nicely wrapped and not too messy. The chili could use a little more flavor for my liking, but overall I enjoyed it. The service wasn't bad and the menu isn't skimpy. I would definitely go back for another round. read more

Tip Top is definitely an SFV gem, I have it at least once a month. They're always so accommodating with changes in orders. My usual order is a lettuce wrapped double bacon cheeseburger, everything on it (tomatoes, onions & pickles), side of their meat chili topped with onions and cheese, onions rings with ranch. Oh and you can't forget the chili peppers! In the past I've had their chili cheese fries and their steak with the works, fried zucchini and ranch. Ordered a double pastrami cheeseburger and was quiet offended with the portion of pastrami they put on it. They charge you $4.15 to add pastrami to a double cheeseburger but what they give you is definitely not worth it. Was it good? Yeah. Is a $13 for the burger worth it no. This place gets five stars they have great customer service. I've been going here for years and the guy always recognize me and everyone is so nice fast service and the food is amazing the best in the valley to get a good ground burger and they do it just how you like it, they have a menu full of different things that you can order and choose from. My uncle took me here when I was little and hadn't been since then. My son wanted a burger and said they were good. Wow! Service is quick and friendly, everyone is super nice! I ordered a club sandwich and son and friend ordered bacon cheeseburger with fries and onion rings. Everything was great, in fact the best I've had in the area! Fries were fresh and hot! Club was better than any diner. I watched them work and they were fast and organized. Great teamwork! When I arrived there were only two people ahead of me. When I left people were lining up. I had a pretty frustrating experience ordering from For The Win today, which completely defeated…read morethe purpose of ordering ahead. I placed an online order through their website, and it quoted about a 25-minute prep time with a ready window around 2:56 -3:06 PM. I planned accordingly and even arrived earlier so I could pick it up fresh and avoid waiting. However, just five minutes after placing the order, I received a text saying it was already ready. That immediately raised a red flag, because if you're paying $13+ for a double burger, you expect it to be made closer to your arrival time, not immediately. When I arrived, the burger was already cold. When I brought this up, the employee I spoke with repeatedly said "it's not my fault" and pointed to someone else, instead of taking any ownership or even acknowledging the issue. It was a really poor way to handle a simple customer concern. Eventually, after some back and forth, the burger was remade, but I had to wait another 10-15 minutes. And ironically, it took longer to make it this time than it did after I placed the online order. But then now I wa stuck waiting defeating the whole purpose of ordering ahead. A manager eventually came over and was polite, but by that point the experience had already been frustrating. They also threw away the original burger instead of offering to let me keep it, which felt wasteful. On top of that, when I asked for a couple cups of water for my daughter, I was told I'd need to purchase a bottle, which felt pretty tone-deaf given the situation and didn't even think to offer me any anything for the misunderstanding and having to wait extra time now... The bigger issue here is the lack of coordination and communication. If you're going to quote customers a pickup time, especially for hot food, the order should be made accordingly--not immediately after it's placed. Otherwise, you're guaranteeing that the food won't be fresh when the customer arrives. Between the timing issue, the lack of ownership from staff, and the overall handling of the situation, this was a disappointing experience. I usually like the food, but the service and process today really need improvement.

Maybe they should make sure that - during the few days that they're actually open - they should ensure that every part of the business works, and is devoid of insects.

A true hamburger stand. The ceilings are covered with stills of actors, but they're pure décor and without autographs. I can't attest to they're cheesesteaks being 100% authentic as far as Philadelphia standards, but they're hearty and affordably priced. You will find the best French fries and onion rings available at any establishment of this sort. The burgers are pretty sublime and use quality ingredients. It's hard to describe the good vibe this place as, perched in the middle of a strip mall in an intercity neighborhood. Other menu items, like gyros and fish sandwiches, are well done.
