    Cheesesteak extra cheese no onions
    Katherine P.

So this is your good ole fashion burger, breakfast, cheesesteak hut. You walk in and you smell the grease and smoke from the flat top grill. Just good tasting food for a good price. We got the cheesesteaks, fried zucchini, fries and a cheeseburger and we were stuff and pleasantly happy with our food. The person taking our order isn't the friendliest but isn't mean either he just wants to get down to business and get your order placed and handed to you. They have a few booths inside and some tables outside in the back of the restaurant. Definitely not a place to hang out and eat, though just order and take it home.

Growing up in SoCal, burgers are a big part of life. Beyond In-N-Out, there are plenty of great local spots. I remember my neighbor's burger joint -- a highlight of block parties. Fast forward to high school, and Tip Top became a regular spot, especially since I had friends in the area. After all these years, the quality is still just as good. The charbroiled flavor, the creamy thousand island dressing, and those perfectly crispy hot fries -- it's a winning combo. I was nearly done, but a gym date was calling. I asked for a to-go box, and the guy looked a little disappointed. We both laughed and joked, "Skip the gym, finish the meal!

So I was delivering. Items I sold on eBay. Got off the freeway, and I noticed the small little burger stand but it said Philly. Cheesesteaks. Dropped off the package drove back to little stand. Those approximately five people in line, I asked them, how is the food and everyone said, excellent. I wasn't that hungry. So I tried the burger and it was excellent. The philly cheesesteak looked great. Also here are some pictures plus the burger The bun wasn't really thick. It was nice and soft

Their burgers are done just perfectly, patty is not dry, bun is not crumbly when you bite into it, patty matches bun size! I had it with bacon and with avocado! Both times good amount of bacon and generous serving of guacamole style avocado. Fried zucchini is made to order! Small finger size keeps zucchini crispy longer! Onion rings are fresh made to order! Love everything burger and fried stuff out of this place! It's truly a burger flavor gem in the valley! I never sat inside to eat. I always took it to go!

I love this place! The staff has always been very pleasant and welcoming. They truly appreciate their customer. Hands down... the best. Other should take notes on the basics of just being a decent person. The food has always been good. I literally have cravings for their Philly Cheese Steak with Hot Crispy Fries and an Ice Cold Beverage. Don't forget a side of the ranch for dipping your fries. The ambiance is classic. It's an older building with a small dining room with black and white signed pictures of actors and celebrities who are customers of Tip Top. Strike up a conversation with the owner while you take in the wonderful smell of your food cooking. I will be returning. Enjoy!! #jsho Pro Tip: They do charge for refills.

Small little spot in the valley. Easy spot to get to from the freeway and it made for a nice stop on our way back home up north. I had the Philly cheesesteak with grilled peppers and onions and it was delicious. Not your standard cheesesteak and I believe it could've either been a little juicier on the meat and maybe a little cheesier but it was nice and hot. Fries were well cooked but not seasoned so well and definitely from a bag. Still trying to find a local spot that makes homemade fries or rings. We also ordered an order of rings, which were delicious. Another freezer bag option but these were definitely the premium kind. Overall the service was provided by the owner and he was friendly and you could tell he runs a tight ship but overall nice and friendly service with a quick turnaround with the food. Good overall experience, with hot tasty food, along with eating inside, where it was nice and clean, for the little location they work with. A little pricy for the style of food but that had to be everywhere these days. If I had a chance I'd definitely go here again, maybe passing through and way better than the average fast food joint. I really wish you could give half stars because this place is definitely around a 4.5 for the style of food.

Friend had ham and egg omelette with potatoes. His omelette looked really good and nicely plated. I saw it having large cubes of ham, with a French folded omelette as he cut into it. This is where I focus on my dish though and I'm a plating nut! The Benedict sauce beautifully draped over the poached eggs. I could have gone with just another 30 seconds on the eggs, as I do like a thicker ooze of yolk, but I'm not complaining. The muffin was tasty and chewy, nicely made. The sausage was perfectly salted and added a nice richness to the entire bite. The salad. This salad was pickled cabbage in beet juice. Shredded carrot, wild lettuce and a side of balsamic dressing. It didn't need the dressing. I drizzled a tiny amount but barely a teaspoon. The entire eggs Benedict with salad is a definite crave-able breakfast dish. The service was very nice.

The decor is exactly what you'd expect (and exactly what you want) from a neighborhood coffee shop: formica tables, padded chairs and booths, aging photos on the walls, and lively music playing on the radio. It was bustling at lunchtime on a Thursday, but not crazy busy (as on many weekend mornings), so I was seated immediately. The menu boasts a fairly large selection of options, from the usual breakfast items to sandwiches and burgers, daily specials, and those aforementioned muffins (which you can get instead of toast with your breakfast if you like). Today, I opted for their Spicy Louisiana Hot Link with eggs, grits and toast. It was a very generous portion of food for $16.95, and I appreciate how they've manage to keep their prices reasonable. The eggs were a proper over-medium, and the grits were both hot and creamy. The side of butter melted easily into the porridge, which, when salted and peppered, made for a satisfying and savory bite. The sausage was split and grilled, showing off a nice char; they were spicy, as advertised, but not overly powerful, and they paired very well with the warm, creamy egg yolk. Rye toast was full of caraway flavor, and really shone when topped with butter and a generous slather of Nat's house-made Apricot Jam (packed with fruit flavor without being too sweet). Yes, Nat's remains a solid, satisfying spot for breakfast and lunch. And though parking can sometimes be a challenge, I find the food is well worth the effort.

We arrived, checked in, and waited our turn while carrying a baby. Then another group that arrived after us was seated first. I personally heard them say they did not have a reservation. When I questioned the young employee about why they were seated ahead of us, she told me they did have a reservation. That is completely unacceptable. Being skipped is already frustrating, but being given an explanation that directly contradicts what I personally heard makes the situation even worse. Customers should not be treated as if they are stupid or expected to simply accept whatever excuse they are given. If this restaurant has a waiting list, then respect it. If certain customers are going to receive preferential treatment, then at least be honest about it. There is absolutely no reason for a loyal customer, especially one waiting with a baby, to be treated this way. I have recommended this restaurant to many people in the past, but I will no longer be doing that after today. A business can have good food, but dishonest and unfair customer service can completely ruin the experience. Management should take this seriously. You do not build customer loyalty by allowing staff to skip people, give preferential treatment, and then provide questionable explanations when customers speak up. This was disrespectful, unprofessional, and extremely disappointing.

What bothers me is being asked to choose a tip before I've received the service. I'm given options like 10%, 15%, 18%, or 20%--but how am I supposed to know what level of service deserves 10% versus 20% when the service hasn't happened yet? If I choose 10% and the service is excellent, I may feel like I should have tipped more. If I choose 20% and the service is poor, I feel like I've overpaid. Ironically, this system makes me more likely to choose a conservative tip every time. I'd much rather have the option to tip after the service is provided, when I can actually evaluate the experience. My recommendation: keep the QR ordering if you want, but move the tipping option to the end of the meal, after the service has been provided. That would make tipping feel more fair and meaningful.
