My wife loves the closet they converted into a reading nook. We always felt comfortable with the crew in our house. They worked around our schedule and Eric was always available for a quick check-in so I knew where we were with each step. The two big standouts were the price staying the same even though he did a few extras, and Salvador nailing that 8' high 6' wide arch! We couldn't be happier and would definitely use them again.

The kitchen required removing a wall to open up the closed dark kitchen and adding an oversized bar. Eric was extremely timely and professional in getting us a comprehensive quote. He was also extremely affordable as well. He started work right away and did a phenomenal job. We gave him pictures of what we wanted for the kitchen and fireplace, and he replicated the style to a T - which most contractors can't do without a designer helping them. He also was able to design and order custom cabinets for our pantry. Eric was extremely detail oriented throughout the process, checking in with us as needed for style and safety decisions, and always updated us on cost or possible delays. He also was insanely knowledgable about every area of construction such as dry wall, plumbing, electrical, fabrication, flooring, tiling, etc. This guy really is a one man show - he can do it all. Eric did have a few subcontractors help him with the job and they were always fantastic to work with as well. He knows quality workmanship and partnership. He finished the job in a timely timeframe and our home is gorgeous and the workmanship is quality - for a great price. If you need any renovations done, Eric with E.L. Construction is the way to go. John chose to place a Mechanical Lien on my property. I resolved the lien debt back in early April and he has promised on several occasions that the lien would be removed. Come to find out from the company he uses to service liens he never paid the bill. He has been challenging to deal with and will make a lot of promises to get the money but once he gets the money. Good luck on him fulfilling on those promises. I am now having to employ an attorney to motivate and deal with John as he is in violation of not removing the lien. Here why (with details below): He OWNS the work and takes full responsibility for everything and fixes every mishap BEFORE you even ask; His primary subs (carpentry, electrical, flooring, trim) are all GREAT; he's one of the easiest, kindest, and most compassionate people I've worked with; and he knew when to tell me when an idea or suggestion I had was infeasible or too expensive. More deets: On OWNERSHIP and RESPONSIBILITY - Our shower glass walls were a little short. I didn't even know enough to know this was a solvable problem, but he made the third-party glass company take the segments back and replace them with segments that fit even more perfectly and beautifully. There we a couple of other instance and there was never accountability squirm.... Honestly that's unlike 95% of contractors. ADVICE - If the lighting wasn't going to work or look nice, he told you. If the switches we're in the wrong place in the blueprint, he told you. If a door or opening would have been better served with a pocket door instead of a swinging door, like into a bedroom closet, he told you. He told you nicely, politely, never insinuating that I did not know what I was doing or that the architect was bad or wrong. He'd just politely and slowly walk me through a few different scenarios and the real life placement of things and was 100% right in all of his corrective suggestions. The one time I did not listen to him and thought I knew better, after a few months I realized I was completely wrong. MAIN SUBS - Whenever his subs were scheduled to show up, they did, on time, always clean-cut and professional, smiling, and happy. They cleaned up EVERY DAY. Other previous contractors thought nothing of leaving trash on the floor or even dangerous nails when I had small children in the house. I think he is one of, if not, the BEST IN THE BUSINESS and I plan on doing more with him in the future.

They provided detailed information on the work that would need to be performed and the cost. It was all very professional and, I must say, quite impressive. When I accepted the quote, a date and time to complete the project was set. Elvis, Corey, and Chase arrived on time and began the work. They kept me updated on what was being done to correct the problems. In my situation, the issue was several doors not closing appropriately, one of the doors being my very large, very heavy front door. When all work was complete, they invited me to check each of the doors to ensure it was working as I expected. They completed all of the necessary paint touch ups and did a very thorough clean up. So, I was getting a new dryer and decided it would be a good time to clean out my dryer lint vent…read more I ordered a kit with a round brush and some flexible rods that you attach to a drill and feed through the vent to clean out the lint. Sounds simple enough, right? So the flexible rods that screw together unfortunately separate while I'm using the drill and the brush and several of the rods are stuck inside the duct. I watch a YouTube video explaining how to remove it (it apparently happens frequently) by buying additional rods and attaching a "corkscrew" made from a wire hanger which you feed into the duct by hand to hopefully "grab" onto the brush and pull it out. You guessed it, that got stuck too. I called King Air Duct Cleaning and Lance (the owner) assured me that he understood the issue and he would be able to squeeze me in so I could start using my new dryer. Lance was here this morning and he was amazing. Within 20 minutes he had both of the pieces removed from the duct and all of the built-up lint cleared. Then he hooked up my new dryer, tested the airflow and assured me everything was good to go! And the cost was about 1/3 of what I thought it would be! Highly recommended!!!

We have been using this firm for 18 years since we moved into the North Scottsdale/Carefree/Cave Creek area. Chris and her husband owned the firm for many years and provided excellent and quality service. They have provided many upgrades and services to the two homes we have owned in the area. Very competitive rates, but more importantly extremely quality service. One cannot get better from any of the plumbing firms in the area. Now that Chris and husband have sold the firm to a new company, we have used the new company twice, and their service man--Greg is as expert as you can find. On a Wednesday, our toilets would not flush. Greg, the supervisor, sent a plumber, Jose, within a couple hours. We got a septic service to pump our tank that day. Greg arranged for an emergency Blue Stake on Thursday morning. Jose brought a backhoe and dug down to and fixed the pipe leading from the tank to the leech line on Thursday afternoon. Then, Greg referred me to a company he recommends to assess and fix or replace (if needed) our leech line. Since I have a home warranty and there was what they consider significant flooding, I was put to the top of the emergency list for Alan's to come inspect the issue. Since it's been awhile, I can't recall my plumber's name but he was certainly a huge help in what started as a few months of stress. He gave me the 30minutes heads up as I needed to drive home. Basically within a few minutes of inspection he told me my tank had burst and he'd need to replace it. Totally makes sense as it was about 13 years old. Having a home warranty meant all I was out was for some pipes (~$120) and the service call. For example a device that is required by law to filter out impurities in the natural gas supply that cause a water heater to develop problems and fail earlier than normal. Let's just say that his responses were not adequate to assure me that I wouldn't have problems in the future with his work performance. I again personally would not recommend him. Scott is arrogant IMO. Gave me a good quote but then couldn't get the unit he pitched and didn't want to install it per code. He then offered to get a different brand but when I asked model# he reneged and said I should call the supplier myself. When I questioned this he went silent. Way too erratic for me. You can see from other negative reviews here that dependability is an issue here.
