So this place looks divey inside and out but the food is delicious. I've been craving papusas and…read moredecided to try them. I got the chicken, pork and cheese, plain cheese and the loroco. They're served with a cabbage slaw, tomato sauce and some spicy pickled jalapeños and carrots. The slaw gives it a nice crunch and the tomato sauce is nice and sweet to counter the saltiness of the cheese. My favorite is probably the loroco, which reminds me of broccoli and cheese but different. The corn dough outside is nicely charred but soft on the inside. It's not dry at all, even with the chicken filling. I paid 6 bucks for all of that. I probably will definitely order take out again. It was very fast and the girl spoke fluent English. The prices on the steak plates seem reasonable so I may try that the next time. The decor is sort of sad but the food is bomb.

What a Deal Another…read moregem on Chalkstone Ave. Rincon is a typical Latino market that has a small kitchen in the back. It's someone's mom or grandmother cooking for you in the back. These are usually the best places. The place looks ruined down, but don't let it detract you. This place is good. The order was a typical carne asarda platter with a salad rice refried beans. I have to tell you it was delicious and for 9 bucks it could feed two, but I found myself eating the entire plate. Top it off with a nice passion fruit fresh juice and this was a great meal. If your in the mood for a home cooked meal for a great price give this joint a try. Thanks

Stopped by for a mid-morning breakfast on a Sunday afternoon and had an enjoyable experience. It…read morewas quite busy so it took a little long for food to come out, but they do give chips and salsa to munch on while you wait. I ordered the desyanos mi pueblito and it was really good. The steak was cooked perfectly and it came with everything I was craving. Plus the refried beans, creama, eggs, plantains, chicharron, and warm tortilla--yum! The pupusa was different, as it's made with a different cheese here which the waitress did warn us. Because of this, it wasn't our favorite but still good. Overall this spot is popular in East Boston, I would definitely check it out! Also if you tell them it's your birthday they will sing to you and you get to wear the special hat :)

I live locally, we have been buying their food and supporting them for years, since before the pandemic. Last night we had other food from somewhere else around the corner and just wanted to get two regular / virgin pina coladas to go. But because this particular woman doesn't like black people, she did not want to serve us the drinks. Not only was her customer service terrible, she was also trying to extort / milk us for more money. whole time the store was closing in like 30 minutes, and it would've been smart to allow your business to earn more money even if it's small, on drinks while you get ready to shut the grill down. Instead, they wanted us to order something, they would have to rush to make it, and then rush us to eat it, and then kick us out because it was closing soon. Soooooo disappointing. Actually Terrible service.
