Just say no, horrible experience altogether. I called made app they said $20for pedi it was $25. The girls that did our nails were almost roof. The manager did care, go elsewhere. read more

I'm a regular customer, always getting the same thing. I called and was told to come in that there was no wait. So, when I got there I signed in, took my temperature and was shown to my seat. My manicurist was finishing up with another customer; my pedicurist had already started on my feet. The manicurist proceeded to take ANOTHER customer before starting my my hands, under the guise that my cuticles needed to soak. They usually soak them for 5 minutes - NOT 20. Spoke to the manager Cindy who proceeded to tell me that they were short staffed and that was why she took another customer in front of the customer sitting in the chair. Go at your own risk. Just know they do not put customers first - well, I guess they put white customers first. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE - GO TO ROYAL NAIL LOUNGE across the street!!! read more

I stumbled upon this nail salon on a Sunday afternoon after the 2 by my house were closed. They were sweet & polite & not busy at all. I needed a quick brow/chin wax for a Sunday afternoon photo session. They took me in a back room- so much better then just a chair so many salons use. I didn't get the women's name who helped me, but she was wonderful. I told her I was a little sensitive & so she was careful to be gentle- so many wacers don't listen. She was quick but thorough. She also applied aloe & an oil that smelled like chocolate- very relaxing after she was finished so my face would be puffy. All of that for $15?! What a deal! This might become my new salon, even if it is a bit of a drive from the house. **** Update 3 days later. Sadly I'm already seeing growth back on my chin/eye brows. My hair grows fast but not that fast! It appears a large patch was missed & upon further inspection my eyebrows were not done all that well. Going down to 3 stars sadly read more

My daughter went in today to get her nails done and waited a hour before she left after they helped everyone else that walked in after her. Also had several issues with french and white SNS turning yellow after a couple weeks and they refuse to fix unless you pay for another SNS. read more

Triffaling workers I'm getting a pedi and the other girl comes over to take my gel off my nails and got all the shaving on me without putting a towel on my clothes so after she put acrylic on them i asked for a towel to wipe all the dust off me and the acrylic messed up and they didn't want to fix it so i left read more

I walked in after being referred by two other friends and was very happy I did! First thing that I noticed was that I did not smell the overwhelming chemical odor. The chairs and manicure stations were immaculate. Niki helped me figure out the type of service I wanted (gel manicure) and I couldn't be happier with the result. They had a great selection of colors (both regular and gel). I can't wait to go back for a pedicure and polish change, Highly recommend! read more

I went in because the yelp reviews on here were decent. I will never go back. I asked for SNS manicure and the Medicare part never happened. At the very end the person cut off some of my dried skin around the nail but really did not manicure my hands. Also I said I wanted a nude color not pink and I was told it would be see-through and not pink and it is pink. There is gunk underneath all of my nail sticking to my fingers are compressing against my fingers underneath The nail that I'm having to peel out. When I look at it from the side most of the nails are lumpy and uneven. They do not look natural at all. And finally when he was filing my pinky nail he cut my finger with the nail file and then put some sort of solution on my nail and it burns like hell and he tried to say it was my hangnail when you can clearly see it's a cut from the nail file. Do not go here on a weekend like during the day without calling to make an appointment. This was my first time and i decided to walk in. I waited for about 20 mins then i got a pedi chair and had my feet in the water another 20 minutes. Finally, David did my toes but not before helping me pick a SNS color for my mani. Another lady did my mani and she got antsy because i didn't like the color. I was discussing with David and she continued to dip my fingers. Interesting that I was telling him not her but he was more helpful than she was! If she had stopped or checked after the first finger to make sure i was ok with the color, she wouldn't have to soak my fingers again and file them! After all that, I was able to find a pretty light pink and she did an ok good (have had better). I will return but not before making an appointment with David and hopefully he can hook me up with a better manicurist. read more

! First time coming into this place. Beautiful establishment. No nail salon smell at all. Upon walking in, i was greeted and told to pick a chair to sit at. Looks like today is a busy day for them. I waited for about 35mins total before starting. I ended up getting rose gold sns coffen nails.Total was 48.00. Whew! Expensive but worth it. I went to Lily (also known as Mama). She's great. I will definitely go back to her. She took her time and made conversation as well. She even offered a drink! (water, coke, sprite) Now thats customer service!. I just went to this nail salon for the first time. They are very nice and professional. They made sure to listen to what you want, but most importantly there was no annoying up selling at all. Ju did my mani and pedi and she was amazing. They greeted us as soon as we came in and took care of us right away by asking us if we needed any beverages and making sure we were comfortable. I'm new to the Buford area but I'm glad to say that I have found my new nail salon. So if you are looking for a place you should really consider this salon. You won't be sorry. read more

Tina and Cindy are my favorite! When I go, I always ask for them. I have NEVER felt uncomfortable in anyway when they are doing my nails. Also, this nail salon is super clean which is a must for me. I went for the first time yesterday based on the other reviews. Everything the 5 star reviews said was true! I'm picky about how my nails look and I love my gel manicure. I had Tracy and she did a great job. The salon is clean and well run. The owner makes sure the right tech is helping the right client. One of my pet peeves at other salons is when the techs spend my entire visit talking only to each other - I always feel like they are talking about me. That didn't happen here - the techs focused their attention on their clients- it was so refreshing!!! I will definitely be going back! read more

I hate to leave a bad review because I use to love this place. Cindy the owner is very nice but over time they have gotten so big, the customer service has waned. I keep going back trying to give them a second chance because this use to be my favorite salon. This last time I think I have to sign off. I got a gel pedi ($40) and gel mani ($25). My nails came out great and no issues there. The nail tech Peyton did my toes but somehow cut me on both feet. She never acknowledged her error and just kept trying to put my feet back in water and patting the bleeds. She never apologized and continued to talk over me to her colleague. I mentioned my concerns and no response. My polish also end up getting bumped and I asked for it to be touched up and she said "it's the light, it's okay." No ma'am, I need you to touch it up. Here I am days later taking ibuprofen because it hurts to walk and drenching it in alcohol so my toe won't get infected. I talked to the owner and she was apologetic but I think it's time for new horizons. read more

This is a great salon! I found them about a year ago after doing some shopping at Home Depot! They are amazing in all aspects, they listen to what you want and do a wonderful job! I've gone to this salon for at least 3 years for manis/pedis/color changes. Today I went in for a color change on my toes. The man who did it was in a BIG, distracted rush--answering phone, looking all around. He BARELY applied the base coat, rushed through applying the color, and rushed and BARELY applied top coat. The nail color doesn't even cover all of the nail! Really? He didn't care about the quality of the service today. Very disappointing and makes me think it might be time to go somewhere else. I've been in several times before for pedicures and have always had decent service and they've done a decent job on the pedicure as well. They're right near my gym, so when my zumba class got cancelled this evening, I decided to walk in and get a pedicure. It was about 7:10pm and they appeared to be very busy. It took a minute for anyone to greet me or say anything to me - a few technicians looked my way but said nothing and someone finally asked me what I wanted. I told them a pedicure and she said to pick out a color. I did and stood there for a second but no one was looking at me, so I sat down in one of the chairs up front with my nail polish in hand and began waiting. After 15 minutes (with no one saying anything to me), another woman walked in for a pedicure, picked out her color and sat next to me. In about 5 more minutes, someone gestured to me from the back to come sit in a pedicure chair and the lady who had come in after I had was seated next to me. We both proceeded to sit there for another 10 minutes soaking our feet when a technician came and set up in front of her to start doing her pedicure. That was it for me - I dried off my feet and put my flip flops on and the technician who had just started the other lady's nails said - he is on his way, he will be here in a minute for you. I informed him that I had been there for 15 minutes longer than the lady he was assisting and I wasn't waiting any longer. He didn't even apologize. I just left. No one apologized or seemed concerned that I was leaving. I have patience, and I am okay with waiting. I knew they were busy when I walked in and I chose to stay. What I am not okay with is a lack of management and lack of service. The lack of attention paid to me when I came into the business and the lack of management for the staff is what caused this to occur. I'm going to assume that the business closes at 8:00 (the hours on the door only had opening hours and the closing hours were removed/missing), as no one wanted to assume responsibility for taking care of a customer that may put them there past 8:00. I saw technicians finish with other customers and then start prepping their stations for the next day of business, talking to each other, counting up their list of customers/work for the day, and straightening the nail polishes in the racks, all while I sat there waiting for service. I would have preferred that someone have told me that they wouldn't be able to fit me in this evening rather than having to wait for so long and be treated so poorly. I won't be back. read more

Tips 'n Toes is seriosuly the best nail salon that I've ever been to. The ladies there love to serve and it shows. I never go to a nail place that has friendly and genuine service from all the employees, but these women smile, laugh, and make you feel so welcome. They offer a complimentary soda every time I enter and always ask if I want a unique design...they are SO creative when it comes to designs! Whatever you want, they can do! I had been coming here for over a year... Until today. I was in there on July 13th and had SNS done by Summer. Six days later my nails were breaking on the edge. I called on July 23rd and spoke with who I later found out was Jade and she told me to come in they'd fix it for free and scheduled appointment for me for 3. I walk in, say I have apt at 3 to fix my SNS and was seated and she starts putting the foil on my nails. I had no idea until later she was not the person I talked to on the phone. I had no idea I needed to re-explain everything until AFTER my nails were done. Another lady comes to take foil off. She asked me who did my nails... I explained to her what was going on, free, get them fixed, I liked my original color but couldn't find it. She said it looked like the person who did my nails before didn't use a base coat and they should have. She did a fabulous job on my nails. The lady who put the foils on my nails said they had to charge me something bc I got a new color. I was not told otherwise by Jade that they'd fix it only if I used the same color. No directions was given. I had no idea that the lady in the phone was not either ladies who helped me. Tin explained to the lady that 9 nails were broken. The lady kept repeating that they didn't fix what was wrong, and I got a new color. I explained I was not given direction when I called and tried finding my current color but couldn't and that was not my fault. I told her if am forced to paying I will not be coming back. She went and talked to the manager and he said I had to pay for labor and material of $30. A new set is $35! That is bad business. There are too many nail salons in the area for me to be told one thing ave be charged for it.Update: I called and spoke with the manager as encouraged by the tech who did my nails and my local friends who go here. Cindy apologized and told me the person who answered the phone should have explained to the techs what was going on. I explained that I tried finding my current color but couldn't...She said that the color that was originally on my nails was DISCONTINUED but since I already had the foil on my nails, it was not already going to be a repair job so they had to charge me. She offered to have me come in whenever I need to and have a service done for 1/2 off. That isn't free. So... the color I had on could not have been used so I would have needed a new color anyway. She said that they could have matched a color to it, um no thanks. Again... not the way you should do business. I cant force myself to go back to this salon. read more

Just had the absolute worst nail salon experience!! I just wanted a simple mani/pedi. Only reason I wanted a manicure was for my cuticles. The guy doing my toes would not stop trying to talk me into SNS. Finally after 15 minutes I agreed but saying I did not want them to use that machine on the top of my nails. He said they wouldn't. (which they did)!!! On one of the two fake nails she added, she got glue all over my finger so when she went to cut it short it felt like she cut my finger. When I complained she got nasty and said she'd fix it at the end. Very uncomfortable, why I did not get up and walk away I still don't know. When I then asked about doing my cuticles, they said $5 more. Seriously. I just wanted the $12 manicure for my cuticles and now I've been talked into a $35 SNS and now have to pay $5 for the cuticles. I said forget it. Then at the end she tried to use a pointy thing on her machine to separate the glue from the finger and punctured my finger and made it bleed. I guess she felt bad and decided to do the cuticles (when I checked out, no charge) but was so rough, she cut me and made me bleed again!!! Needless to say, I hate to admit but I did not tip her. I didn't want to pay at all. Worst experience ever! I would not recommend this place to anyone!! And by the way, the guy who did my toes and sold me on the SNS never returned. Decided to try this Salon after reading so many great reviews!! Walked in, was greeted by the staff, upon entering, and immediately seated for services. Tom did my SNS ( beautifully done) and was very detailed, not rushing me along. I never did get the name of the young lady who did my pedicure, as she was in between myself and finishing up on checking other customers in and out.... So needless to say, I was a little disappointed that she had to step away several times, although she did politely excuse herself, still a little bothersome as I chose this Salon because of the great reviews on service. The beautiful Décor (Wall fountain) did make up for the interruptions', as it allowed me time to just relax!! Very clean stations, as was the entire salon, and the staff didn't use a lot of idle conversation, which sometimes can take the whole experience some place else. So I will be scheduling my next visit in TWO WEEKS!! =) read more
