1st time at the Albany location. Parking can be tricky so be prepared to drive around a bit to find a spot. My party of 7 was seated right away for Sunday lunch a few weeks ago. We ordered a couple appetizers and our meals within 10 minutes of arriving. That's where the quickness ended. The appetizers came out after maybe 20 minutes and entrees came out after we had been there for an hour. Our waiter, who also seemed to be the bartender, refilled some of our drinks but forgot to bring the refills for some of the others in our party. Maybe they needed 1 more on staff that day. In the past I was disappointed by the food quality because the prices never matched what they served, but I gave it an another chance recently and I am so glad I did. The service has always been good with very friendly wait staff and bartenders so that didn't change. If i could recommend anything PLEASE get the street corn pizza! There are a few tables inside outside in the patio area. I liked the outdoor fire pit they had going on. The chairs/tables inside are not comfortable. I was sitting with a giant wood beam in between my legs the whole time. They have a decent drink and food selection. Came here for a late lunch when we were passing through Albany a little while back. Though we came a little after the lunch rush on a Sunday, there were still a considerable amount of people inside. Once seated, we shared a fried cheese curd appetizer to start in addition to our respective mains. I got a vegan version of their Philly cheesesteak. The fried cheese curds were amazing - it came with a berry jam dipping sauce that paired amazingly well with the cheese curds. As for my cheesesteak, it was good, albeit heavy. The portions were also incredibly generous - I ended up having leftovers for days afterwards! My only quibble about this place was that the service was pretty slow. They may have been a little short-staffed at the time, but we were on a tight schedule and we were worried that we would miss our train because it took a little while longer than anticipated for our food to come out. Otherwise, I thought the food was very good and I would certainly consider coming back here for a meal if I find myself in Albany again. read more

The gravy, cheese and fries were all perfect and together they were a match made in heaven. Really loved those. Huge portion too. Pizza: spicy meat lovers. This is elevated pub pizza. When a place doesn't specialize in pizza, I don't expect much, but this was certainly enjoyable. Call me picky when I say there was a little bit too much sauce. But the flavors were good and I would certainly try other pizzas here. Mac and cheese: chili. This generous potion was pretty good but not my favorite. A lot of people rave about the mac here and I just don't agree. It's certainly ok but not out of this world by any means. Normal elbows, not super creamy. The flavors were pretty good with the chili. My husband and I have been wanting to try it here and although there is no waiters or waitresses the bartender was very attentive and waited on us. The environment of people that come in are the neighborhood trash they don't eat they just sit at the bar drinking and at add homeless people walk in to use the bathroom yuck. As for .. Our food was dumped in oil ... we had the brisket bacon egg rolls ( practically burnt in oil) the Philly cheese steak ... the steak was mushy and it was drenched with creamy cheddar cheese.. it was horrible.
