I went there to get my birthday set nails and left so disappointed. I asked for Almond nails French tip and the most simplest flower design. The French tip gel color was smudged on the entire nail one of my finger was VERY crooked no base color and overall very very messy work. I called the next day politely saying I didn't like them and they told me I could come in to get them fixed. I went back and I told him one of the fingers was very crooked he said he would fix it but didn't. The French trip were soo sloppy I wanted to cry they look worse than what I originally left with the day prior. This has been the worse nails I have gotten in my life and I paid $70 for this. NEVER GOING BACK :/ I had to run back home and file everything down and do my own nails. read more

Honestly kind of bummed by my gel dip manicure this time. They left my cuticles looking crusty and dry. They didn't even apply lotion on my hands after and my nail tech over charged me by $20. Horrible customer service and a bloody pedicure that I had to pay full price for and the tech asked for a tip. My niece went in to get her nails done and THEY made a mistake and they had to be redone. The guy there redid her nails but was so rough on her hand that her hands still hurt today. She had them done yesterday around noon!! Her hands look swollen and she now has open cuts around the cuticle!! He was so upset about having to redo them that he didn't even clean her up. She had nail polish all over her hands and fingers. The damn nails don't even have full cover with the nail polish!!! It was also not just him the manager got so upset she started to YELL at my 16 yr old niece!!!! I am so upset with the service here!!! I will continue to go to Lily's from now on!!! I'm only giving a star because I can't give a zero. It had been a while since I visited this place for a pedicure, and I decided to go today. I was very excited because I remember last time I got what I asked for, but this time they overcharged me for a very shitty job. I asked for a deluxe pedicure, and wanted French tip. I also told the lady that I had an ingrown nail that was bothering me and kindly asked her to take care of it. I usually do gel but this time I did not want that because I tend to do my pedicures at home when I don't have time to go to a nail tech and i don't have the tool to get rid off of gel polish. With that being said, it looked like the lady did not understand what I was asking for at first so she asked for help, she was doing an amazing job with the massages and scrubbing until it was time to take care of the ingrown nail. I tend to get ingrown nails very often in one of my toes, but they are not that big of a deal for me to get them surgically removed, I usually do it myself or have a nail tech remove them, its very easy since it's not really nail but dead skin buildup. Well, a guy ( not sure if the owner of just a worker) came to ask the lady if she was doing okay, and I don't know what she told him but he kept insisting for me to get gel polish instead of regular nail polish, I declined and said I did not want it this time and I also asked him to tell her to please clean my nails well since I tend to get dead skin buildup and this time it was hurting. He told her to do it and it looked like he didn't like how the lady was working (I did not have any complaints) and started to do it himself to only ruin the shape of my nails and not clean the buildup how I had ask him to. I told him he hurt me with the tools he was using and he said that "it was okay, that the pain it was temporary since it was the ingrown nail that he just removed that was hurting." My toe was hurting really bad but I just let him continue. when he was done another lady came and started painting my nails and doing the French tip, she was done with one foot when I told her I had changed my mind and I did not want the French tip anymore (take in mind they were going to charge me more for the French tip) but in reality she was just not doing the French tip incorrectly, it looked like my 6 year old sister did it. By this time I just wanted it to be done, because did not like the fact that three people had to touch my feet for them to do a horrible and messy job. I left and payed what they asked for and got home to remove everything and do my own pedicure. I was very disappointed and I am not going back there anymore. Skylab nails do a better job for only $25-30. read more

What a great place to kill time while your vehicle is being washed right next door at Scrubbs. Really modern and VERY clean inside. The staff is polite, meticulous and the service is professional. They gave me water and a snack during my pedi, and let me choose my massage and scrub scents. They have a lot of pedi and mani stations, so this could be great for a group of friends to all come in together. Bonus points to the gal I had for wearing a Scooby Doo T-Shirt. read more

I asked the woman to place a clean cloth on the gross nail pad-she said she didn't have a cloth when I saw a stack of them by the sink. She took out what looked like a dirty blush brush and when I asked her if she could sanitize the cushion she said " If you don't like it here you can go somewhere else." She lost out on someone that pays $100 for fill and pedi, tips high and refers clients. In today's world with Covid and competition-that kind of customer service will cause them lots of business!! Beautiful new salon that I wish I could say I loved unfortunately they still are working out some kinks. First off the charge just a little bit more then other places in town. My nails are ok, they dont look bad but they dont look great either. They also took quite awhile. We had a lot of trouble communicating and I felt bad because I could tell the girl was trying really hard but we just didnt understand each other at all. There also was a miscommunication about the colors, I went there specifically because they had the brand gelish. It turns out that's mostly for dip and they only stock a few colors in gel. I wish I understood that before my manicure started because I would have just gone to my normal place. Overall I cant give them a bad review as everything was clean and I know she was trying. taylor is amazing so if you go i recommend trying to get a spot with her. when i went this time, she was busy, and i had a man take care of me. im a very patient person, but i've never left a salon feeling so insecure and upset. all of my nail beds feel burnt. he didnt even ask me what shape i wanted, and he got so irritated with me trying to decide on a design that i didnt even get one at all. i ended up apologising for irritating him and wishing him a good rest of his day to which he said nothing and now my nails are nothing like i wanted for my vacations this month. my tip to him today is not cash, but wisdom. you cannot successfully help others if you are not taking care of your own energy. ive recommended this place to over 50 young women (hence why taylor is super booked) but now i don't think i will be coming back and will take all of this business elsewhere. so disappointed. read more

They are disrespectful, they give you flyer with pricing on it. So you base your pedicure experience based on what you can pay, got up to the desk and I had 2 people that wanted a basic pedicure and when they asked how much to add gel 2 different employees said 5 dollars. I wanted the 45 dollar pedicure with gel. I walked out paying 150$ 35+35+ 50 is 120$ not 150$. So no way are you getting a tip, and when I confront you on why you charge me so much you just shrug your shoulders and don't say anything. Do not give people a flyer for your services and charge them 10+ dollars more than what's advertised. Never ever returning. read more

Do not waste your money. I went here with a picture of what I wanted and the lady who did my nails said she could do it. She then started doing french tip and when I told her that's not what I wanted she started scolding me And rolling her eyes. The second time she started doing my nails she said the 2nd color I picked was to light and said I had to do glitter. My nails came out nothing like how I wanted it and I felt like I was stuck with them because of how much she keep rolling her eyes and mumbling under her breath. Never Going here again read more

Disappointed after trying this new nail salon. I wanted to like it but the renovation sure is deceiving. They have very little staff to accommodate the customers, despite having dozens of booths. 3 of the 4 staff ended up working on my nails by the time I left, apparently personal calls are more important than customers. Expect to choose multiple colors, they probably won't have your first pick. Expect to be scowled at, not smiled at. Expect to have polish all over your hands when you leave. Customer service is lacking here. I would expect a lot more from a new business. Try one of the multiple other great places in Chico. read more
