There's some sort of ventilation issue between the bathrooms that are right next to the bar. We had to leave as soon as our drinks were done. If you're looking for authentic Thai food with a little twist.. this is the place . I couldn't snag a picture of all our foods fast enough because everything is so good that my husband could not keep his hands off of them lol . Smaller menu than your typical Thai restaurant but majority of their food you won't be able to find on the typical Thai restaurant either. We ordered Clams, Crab fried rice, turmeric shrimp , lemongrass wings but unfortunately they were out of wings. Everything was so good, fresh in every detail. For dessert we wanted bananas pudding but it was out. We got the toast instead. Though the bread a bit over toasted and a little hard but when soaking with Thai tea custard and melted coconut ice cream it's fine. I mean it's so good that I'm ok with the over toasted part. Again freshness and the authentic taste of coconut ice cream with a coconut chunk in it! The ambiance also very nice , tasty cocktails. Few downsides : it was so cold where we were seated! It's freezing and our food gets cold quickly. Drinks took a while to get to us. We order our food Thai style for everything comes out at once but everything came out separately and big gap in between. But understandable that they just opened this week. Ambience and service are very good. Food mediocre...Beef Tartare was good. The pork belly and fried chicken appetizers were dry (overcooked) and salty, with no real flavor. She crab fried rice was decent. Collard greens were again salty. When I told our server that the food was salty, he responded that the She Crab Fried Rice was supposed to be salty and should be eaten with the fish sauce, which ironically was one of the two dishes that were actually ok. So clearly they are not familiar with the dishes or today was just an off day. Drinks were decent. For the price I'd go elsewhere, though location is convenient for East Cobb. read more

Meh. Not impressed. After reading reviews had high hopes . Went with a group of five. Ordered a bunch of different things. They repeatedly got drinks and orders incorrect and then forgot one of our items that we had to ask for three different times. What I thought was extra strange was when they left an item that we didn't order on the table, and we asked one of the waiters what it was, and after finding out, we told him that it was fine and he could just leave it (expecting to, of course, pay for it), the waiter insisted, however that he take the dish away. Mind you that the the dish had been sitting on our table for five minutes while we tried to track someone down to ask what it was. Any other restaurant would've just left the dish and either given it at no charge or of course let us pay for it like we asked to do. This also happened with a drink that we did not order. Waiter took the drink away afterwards as well. I'm wondering what they are actually doing with the food once they take it away, especially since the one waiter it was very insistent on removing it from the table even after we told him it was ok and he could leave it! Are they re-serving it? Are the servers eating it? We had a larger party and given all of the things mentioned above, had delays based on the servers. However, all in all we were still there for less than two hours. We were trying to get our bill. We paid our bill and were standing up to leave and someone different from the staff came over and was very blunt and said they had other reservations at that time and they needed us to leave because they needed the table. Really interesting given all of the mishaps along the way, and the fact that we were already clearly on our way out the door. All in all the cost of the meal was too high for what we got, and the service mishaps were not what I expected. One of the drinks that I got was mostly a huge ice cube with some foam on top with maybe two sips in the actual drink. Disappointing experience - we had to get a pizza afterwards and won't be back. read more

We had our first (and definitely not last) visit to Tipsy Thaiger on what was its fifth evening since opening. We had waited all summer for its opening. Our anticipation was rewarded. We were nothing but impressed. The space draws you in with color, texture, wonderful art and warm lighting. The service was welcoming and attentive without being overbearing, sharing knowledge and enthusiasm for the menu; a leader to guide us to good choices. The star of the show, of course, is the food, which is elevated, borrowing from authentic Thai flavor and presenting plates that are not only beautiful to look as but delicious to savor. And "savor" would be the word here; there is a lot to observe in the food. The vibe is warm, comfortable and pleasant. The access to the establishment was in the back where the parking lot. Just in case anyone gets confused like I originally was. Once inside, an experience was had. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful. A lot of cultural elements could be found. Modern, with exposed brick, and ingredients used in their menu items were thoughtfully places around the restaurant for a beautiful aesthetic. The staff were friendly and attentive while service was efficient. The food was curated in a beautiful way. Colors and flavors were fused together beautifully. I could tell the chef's loved what they create. Every meal I had was seasoned well, perfect temperature, and technique. We were also told that they do have Happy Hour on Tuesday. If you are in the area, give them a try and please save room for desert! You will not be disappointed. read more

The service was great! Our waitress was attentive and very helpful. The atmosphere felt more like buckhead than Roswell which was really cool. Their patio was very nice and inviting. I feel the only thing lacking was the food and drinks. The drinks were good mine was a bit generic old fashioned like but still good . My wife had the aged rice cocktail which once you got past it's appearance ( looked like something from Alien) it had great flavor. I can confirm the yelp reviews the food is a bit too salty. The grilled bok choy was excellent but some of the nibblers that we had felt warmed up and not quite to temp. My friend when asked by the manager if we had any notes said that the center of his chicken ( main dish) was cold in the center. The manager comped it which was not needed but appreciated. I feel for the steep price there are better Thai restaurants for sure. Was this a bad experience not at all....was it an experience that wowed us and made us want us to come back not really. read more

A vibrant new addition to the Roswell dining scene. Perched on the historic square, Tipsy Thaiger has easy, free parking. You enter from the rear to find the hostess stand. The menu is filled with new & different options for Thai - not your traditional curries & noodles. It's divided between small & large plates and I could've ordered almost anything. We settled on the tartare, pork jowl & she crab fried rice. Plus a sauce flight. The tartare was my favorite with a spice that comes on in the after bite. There were so many lumps of crab meat in the friend rice, plus Old Bay is one of my favorite flavors. The cocktails each had unexpected twists - the G&T & Green Curry Sour were favorites. The table next to us had the steak & the fish - both looked incredible & are on the to-try list next time. The patio/deck looks amazing & I hope it opens for fall dining. Spectacular! From the unique cocktails (Thai Spa!) to the flavorful hors d'oeuvres (CCC and Thai fries!), the beginning of our meal was memorable. For only being open 2 months so far, I am extremely impressed! Usually, this early on, it seems like food and energy of the establishment is still being straightened out. However, when walking in the service immediately catches your eye! The team is so kind and welcoming, making sure to address all customers efficiently and kindly. The bar and dining areas, while busy, were still very relaxing even with the social buzz. The bar tender was very knowledgeable of the menu and food options. She gave excellent explanations and helped answer any questions we had. The drinks and food were so good! The garlic cured pork belly was crispy and tender. The curry sticks had a slight spice from the curry but was very refreshing with a light crunch of the wrap! The she crab fried rice was so amazing! The crab tasted fresh and was well cooked. We were so excited to try a new restaurant in Roswell and this did not let us down! We had a wonderful server as well which also helped! The atmosphere is cute and trendy, perfect for date night! There were tons of plant based options which we really liked and everything was very unique. We got four different starters and two entrées, and everything was so delicious... Really unique flavors... And things I didn't think I would like, but I left loving! The CCC was soooo good! The jackfruit dip was amazing. And the curry was more rich than I've ever eaten, so good! I sometimes enjoy a little heat in my food, but the beet salad here was something else entirely. The peppers in it were so intensely spicy that after just one bite, my entire digestive tract felt like it was on fire. I actually had to leave the restaurant to get some relief -- not exactly the relaxing dining experience I was hoping for. Our waiter did not warn us about the severe heat and was indifferent to the pain that I was experiencing. For that, I give Tipsy Thaiger a one-star rating since they cared little about their customer by not warning and not caring. read more
