We came for dinner and we ordered a bunch of appetizers to share as well as mains. The ambiance and atmosphere here was very nice. There were tons of parking spots as well. My favorite appetizer was the pork belly! It was fried very well and not too oily. I will say the clam dish didn't have many pieces of clams, mostly shells, for the price I thought it wasn't very worth it. The crab fried rice was my favorite! It was flavorful and not too oily. It still felt "light" for a fried rice. The curry chicken dish was also pretty good and the chicken was very tender. The service was okay, not too sure who our server was tbh cause no one came back to our table. We had to ask for items like our check and boxes. Lovely space and for what it's worth, there's actually parking here, which seems to be a rare commodity in Roswell. I love the unique flavors of their specialty drinks, especially that green curry cocktail with the four drops in it. Across the board, the food was amazing with a fresh perspective and taste profile. Interior space is comfortable, accentuated with gorgeous lighting from the bank of windows facing the square. I wish their outdoor deck was complete with seating. The ambiance was nice until they sat 20 some people near our two top. The seating arrangement became very noisy. People who were sat at small tables were cramped and the noise level was so loud we couldn't hear each other. There was a lot of eye rolling from the small tables to each other. Staff was nervous as I could tell they felt bad. It greatly impacted our meal as we hurried to eat to get out of the restaurant. Perhaps the restaurant should improve their floor layout. Tipsy Thaiger is a roaring win for the Roswell area. FOOD: Chili Jam Clams ($26) - Loved this dish. The clams are meaty but not chewy. The flavors are sweet, savory, with a slight kick. It's a bundle of umami packed in a small dish. Keep the sauce to add it to your other dishes! She-Crab Fried Rice ($38) - Love the plentiful crab meat and love that they add crab fat to maximize the flavor. The salt-cured duck yolk on top adds that extra depth to the dish as well. Northern Chicken Curry ($28) - This dish was decent. Chicken was tender, curry was good, and the pumpkin was toasted well but I do wish the plate was heated so it would stay hot a bit longer. I would skip the sauce flight or wait until the food is all out since a lot of the dishes either have it incorporated or come out with it on the side. DRINKS: Thai Tea Palmer ($8) - I would buy this in bulk if they started packaging and selling this drink. Who knew Thai tea would go so well with lemonade. It's the perfect balance of "not too sweet" but still so refreshing. SERVICE: Service was good and very inviting. Our server, Maddie, was super attentive and had great recommendations. OVERALL: You can tell the innovative thinking and intentionality in everything from the vibe of the restaurant to each menu and drink. Had a wonderful time here with a group of 5! This restaurant is a bit tucked away in Roswell, the ambiance is elegant but relaxed, and all the food was amazing. Most of their dishes are a bit more elevated and less common than those you can find at casual Thai restaurants, so I was really excited to try new Thai dishes (especially the seafood). The server told us that they wanted to highlight underrated side of Thai cuisine, which is awesome. The fried rice was good but not a huge portion, especially considering the cost. The chicken curry was enjoyable, but didn't come with rice. I did visit Tipsy Tiger today Sunday prior to 5pm but it was closed, no one was there despite the YES event stating that the it included Sunday, and the hours on the door stating open til 5pm on Sunday. So I was not able to taste anything from this establishment. Not sure why they were closed today. UPDATE . . . So, I misread the sign. It's 5PM to 10pm Sundays. I was able to stop by and have the curry sticks small plate and apple sorbet desert. Delicious! This place has a nice classy vibe and ambiance. It gives upscale! Beautiful presentation. The curry sticks similar to a spring roll were tasty and unique. The apple sorbet was sumptuous, yes I said sumptuous. Haha. The wait staff was friendly as to be expected. Freaking delicious. Entrance is in the back so don't make the mistake of walking up to the street to get in. Free parking in back. Server and host were really nice. We came an hour before closing and they never tried to rush us out of there. The drinks were fantastic, especially the pandan Negroni. The mango sticky rice drink is surprisingly refreshing. We order the CCC (crowd favorite and I'd come back literally just for this), chive fries (if a mochi met a French fry and onion ring amazing), hot fried chicken (yummmm), cured pork belly (delish), thaiger shrimp (plump and the chili lime butter is good), the chicken curry (good but we were so full by the time we got here) and the she crab fried rice (generous portion of crab, light and delicious), as well as the oysters (refreshing but spicy). I had seen this place everytime on my drive home and was intrigued to see what they offer and followed their social media journey vigorously! Today was the day I got to try it with a reservation and this restaurant blew my expectations! The most wonderful and intimate ambiance with simple yet beautiful decor. The staff were super inviting. Seating is very comfortable and the menu is simple yet has some dishes that looked absolutely delicious. Our server Pimonrat was an absolute joy and super friendly! She gave us great recommendations and checked on us constantly. We ordered some drinks such as mango sticky rice and banana metro. The drink menu had a very helpful description of what those drinks consist of and the "flavors". The wait time was rather long but understandable as it was their soft opening. The food came out fresh and the plating was absolutely gorgeous. I ordered the crab fried rice and it was amazing! The best temperature and perfect amount. The flavors melted on your tongue. Alright, so boom. I rolled through on a Saturday night just looking for a solid meal to kick off the weekend, and they absolutely delivered. I started things off with the Curry Sticks. It's a mix of king oyster mushroom and curried potato, but the real star of the show is that house-made sweet sriracha sauce. I've got high standards for anything claiming to be "spicy and sweet," and this hit the mark perfectly. It was so good I ended up ordering a second round of the sauce just to have on deck. For the main, I went with the She-Crab Fried Rice. Between the crab fat, the Old Bay, and that salt-cured duck yolk, the depth of flavor was serious. We ordered a few apps- apps were very yummy and unique. My husband also loved his cocktail with gin and I had a mocktail since it was a week day and mine was also just as good. The mains could have been better honestly, the they do charge for small sauces as well so just FYI. At the price point, you would think the sauces could be complimentary- as everyone's taste buds are different and some need more spice than others. WOW! Went yesterday -- it was only their second day open ever and they were absolutely crushing it. The interior is chic, staff are so friendly and genuinely helpful. Menu is creative and delicious. Nothing short oF AMAZING! We found the food to be spot on with the authenticity especially because when we visited Thailand we rarely had what all the typical "Americanized Thai" restaurants serve. This place has so much flavor, spice, creativity, and wonderful service all in one! We are so excited to have this in Roswell. She crab fried rice was decent. Collard greens were again salty. When I told our server that the food was salty, he responded that the She Crab Fried Rice was supposed to be salty and should be eaten with the fish sauce, which ironically was one of the two dishes that were actually ok. We order our food Thai style for everything comes out at once but everything came out separately and big gap in between. But understandable that they just opened this week. Meh. Not impressed. After reading reviews had high hopes . Went with a group of five. Ordered a bunch of different things. They repeatedly got drinks and orders incorrect and then forgot one of our items that we had to ask for three different times. What I thought was extra strange was when they left an item that we didn't order on the table, and we asked one of the waiters what it was, and after finding out, we told him that it was fine and he could just leave it (expecting to, of course, pay for it), the waiter insisted, however that he take the dish away. Mind you that the the dish had been sitting on our table for five minutes while we tried to track someone down to ask what it was. Any other restaurant would've just left the dish and either given it at no charge or of course let us pay for it like we asked to do. This also happened with a drink that we did not order. Waiter took the drink away afterwards as well. I'm wondering what they are actually doing with the food once they take it away, especially since the one waiter it was very insistent on removing it from the table even after we told him it was ok and he could leave it! Are they re-serving it? Are the servers eating it? We had a larger party and given all of the things mentioned above, had delays based on the servers. However, all in all we were still there for less than two hours. We were trying to get our bill. We paid our bill and were standing up to leave and someone different from the staff came over and was very blunt and said they had other reservations at that time and they needed us to leave because they needed the table. Really interesting given all of the mishaps along the way, and the fact that we were already clearly on our way out the door. All in all the cost of the meal was too high for what we got, and the service mishaps were not what I expected. One of the drinks that I got was mostly a huge ice cube with some foam on top with maybe two sips in the actual drink. Disappointing experience - we had to get a pizza afterwards and won't be back. read more
