April 11th They told me I needed alignment with my new set of tires because my rear tires were cupping on my 21 Honda Accord. I said let's do it. By June my brand new tires on the rear look just like the old ones. There is an obvious negative camber. Little research shows that it's a known issue with accords and civics 2018-2023. The car needs aftermarket adjustable camber arms in order to fix it. That's not your fault. However I was given the car back believing that my wheels were in alignment and had no warning that you were unable to fix the camber. The negative camber is easily visible to the naked eye when you know what you're looking for. There is no chance someone performing an alignment could miss it. But they sent me on my way with brand new tires that are now trash. I've put new adjustable camber arms on it now as well as new shock absorbers and another set of tires. Now it needs alignment done properly. I went back in and they want to charge me for a new alignment because the 3 month warranty expired a week ago.... It was never aligned, plus I brought it in a month ago and told them the issue and they wanted to sell me new tires and shocks which wouldn't have fixed the issue. Had my tires sent to tire barn to have them put on. They attempted to sell me on getting brakes, and that i was out of oil. I had an inspection on the 10th, and was told about my tires. The only other issue that i had was missed by your technicians. But, the oil was clean that the dip was read inaccuratly. I felt uneasy about the service i did receive and will never go back to tire barn. I will also never recommend tire barn to anyone. THEY RELEASED A "LIFE HAZARD" ONTO THE ROAD - AVOID AT ALL COSTS If I could give zero stars, I would. Monro, Inc. and its subsidiaries (Car X and Tire Barn Warehouse) are not just incompetent; they are dangerous. In September, Car X in Charleston stripped my lug bolts during a routine service and hid it from me. It took a separate mechanic in Pennsylvania to point out that my wheel was seized. When I went back to Charleston, they admitted they messed up, blamed a fired employee, and sent me to Tire Barn in Champaign. Instead of fixing the catastrophe, Tire Barn reinstalled a structurally compromised wheel and sent me on my way. I only found out how close I was to a fatal accident when Costco Tire Center refused to let me drive the car away this month, calling it a "huge road hazard" that no professional should have ever let on the street. To top it off, trying to get help from their corporate office was a nightmare. I spoke with a Theresa Griffith, Guest Service Manager, who was incredibly unhelpful, dismissive, and clearly didn't care that her company's negligence ruined my Easter vacation and put me in physical danger. Wanted 4 new tires, was met with great customer service... then I wait until my car is in the garage and assuming I'll be out in about an hour and a half... OVER TWO AND A HALF HOURS NOW! Now I'm young and don't know much about these kinds of services but I feel like I'll be here all day!! I've never had any urge to leave a bad review until now.. this is ridiculous. Edit: Corporate office offered me a $20 service voucher, which is about half of the cost of the service fee for one tire. Declined, as I will not be returning -- clearly this is a company-wide lack of customer care, not just one store/incident. Could not be more disappointed in the level of service received. I made an appointment at 4 PM for an advertised set of tires listed as in stock. I arrived at 3:50 PM and handed over the key. My car was not brought into the garage until 5:30 PM, and I did not leave until 7 PM -- that's three hours for four basic tires. Additionally, they didn't have 4 of the tires I'd specifically put in for, and I have to return in a few days to have the 4th one replaced. For my trouble, I was refunded one installation fee. 3 hours of waiting around, plus a need to return days later, and I was given $35 off -- only after asking for the service fee to be removed entirely. Go anywhere else. Seriously. I got 4 tires earlier this year, it took 3 hours to complete this service. Less than a week later one of the tires they installed was faulty, luckily I bought the insurance so they put a new one on. After another 2 hours they tried to get me to pay for the service even though they are guaranteed under their policy. Now about a month ago I went to take my tire off to do some suspension work. The technician had hammered my lug nuts on so hard that they are completely stripped and literally crumbling off. Now i need to replace my lug nuts and wheel hubs. If I had driving when they decided to break a tire could have flew off, I could have died, or killed someone due to their laziness. Its pure incompetence not to torque lug nuts to spec. Especially for a tire shop that does this hundreds of times per day. I reached out to corporate a month ago with this information and still have not received any acknowledgement whatsoever, so I guess it is time to start talking about this publicly. read more

Came here a year ago for some tire work. Had a morning appointment but still ended up waiting over 4 hours before they even took the car in. About another 2 hours for the work. Fast forward to today, I had an 11am appointment for a tire repair. 2.5 hours later my car still hasn't been looked at and the person behind the counter told a walk-in that they're (already) 4 hours behind. Good grief, is it that hard to schedule no more appointments than you have available labor to do the actual work? Wondering why I came back here. This is certainly not how you build customer loyalty or a positive image. While I was waiting, several other actual and would-be customers also were complaining about the wait and lack of service. Had a slow persistent leak in one of my tires. Took it in to Tire Barn on a late afternoon. Manager at the counter, Bryan, was friendly and able to get me in right away. Problem diagnosed as a leak from the valve stem. Replaced it for $56.61 total. Quick, friendly service. Didn't realize until after I got home that the repairman had neglected to fill the tire. Initially thought that the pressure monitoring system was just slow to update, but later had to fill the tire myself to the correct pressure. No big deal, but an annoyance. 5 days later, my tire pressure was low again. Took it back in. Told by the manager on duty, Shanell, that I had a nail in my tire. I expressed my disbelief that I was that unlucky and questioned whether the problem had been misdiagnosed at the first visit. Shanell was rude and dismissive of my concerns. Realizing that I wasn't going to get anywhere arguing with her on an issue that neither of us could prove, I told her to go ahead with the repair. Cost $35.81. As I was driving away, noticed my pressure monitoring system update: still showed a low pressure in that tire. Took it back immediately and asked them to fill it up. Shanell's attitude was again that of being annoyed and definitely not in any way apologetic. Repairman filled the tire and I was back on my way. Overall, Tire Barn provides fast service, but they are sometimes careless, omitting basic parts of service (such as filling a tire to the correct pressure on two consecutive trips). Customer service is variable and seemingly dependent on which manager is on duty at the time. I am willing to chalk up having to make two visits to bad luck (running over a nail just days after having the exact same time repaired), but the rudeness during the second visit left a bad taste in my mouth. If I could leave at zero stars, I would this place is such a joke when I go to take my car in it comes out Tire monitor lights on. I'm scared all the way home thinking that I'm gonna get a flat tire when I have a 35 minute drive to get home I get home they had 10 pounds less and everyone of my tires thank God that was the only problem today I go take my truck and I'm 15 miles from home. The service tire monitor system comes on I get home. I check all the air one. Tire has 38 pounds the other 4 have 34 pounds in them they're all supposed to have 35. Terrible customer service. Rude. I spent $1000 on tires and when I went back to have the torque checked the gal looked at me like I was nuts and was short with me, told me to pull up to bay one then walked away while I was still talking to her. The guy who worked in my tires was also a jerk. The day I bought the tires they put them on with the wrong side facing out. When I expressed discontent I was offered a 10% off coupon for a future service. I don't get out of bed for 10%! So after waiting an hour and a half I had to wait another half hour for them to switch them around. On top of that- the women's bathroom was so disgusting I couldn't even use it. The toilet had black mold all around the waterline, the whole room looked as though it had NEVER been cleaned. This place sucks and I don't know why they are still in business. read more

I've been a life long customer from back in the day when they changed tires outside on the corner of Prospect and Bradley. Things have changed. The customer service is a thing of the past. I am generally a patient person when dealing with retail personnel but this was a challenge. I think the owners should invest in to their own company and either train or replace the help. While trying to get answers to basic questions like "why does my receipt say I have over 200,000 miles" While my Odometer reads a little over 100,000. Pretty simple question, right? Nope! 2 of them were puzzled and boggled. After a few minutes of shlhuffling paper work the technician announces that he put the license plate number where the mileage goes. I assume they would enter the correct mileage in the system and give me a current updated copy for my records. This wasn't the case, they told me it didn't matter. Do yourself a favor, and take your business elsewhere. The staff is rude and incompetent. I brought my car in because a tire had been leaking. After inspection, they told me there was nothing wrong with my tire. When I asked why it would be losing pressure, they told me it was because "it was cold outside". I asked why all of my tires would not equally drop in pressure with the temperature, and was yelled at in front of a waiting room full of people that they had looked my tire up and down and dunked it and there was nothing wrong with it. I started to feel embarrassed, because he was talking to me like I was stupid, and so I left. I wish I had gotten the guy's name from the front desk. He was very short with everyone. Not just me. They also jacked up the pressure in said tire to 40 psi, leaving all the others at 32. I took it to another shop later the same day, where they quickly located and pulled a 1 inch nail from the tire and patched it. Seriously. Do not go to Tire Barn. Ever. I wouldn't waste your time here. I scheduled an appointment to get a tire looked at to see if I could get it filled with air or if it was not repairable. I was scolded for making an appointment two hours in advance. I order two new front tires to get drop shipped there and called ahead about getting them on and an alignment done. The employee said no Appointment needed, I said, "are you sure?" And he says, "yes you can just come in." So I come in, they said no alignment and no tires can be put on. I make an appointment to get everything done on Friday. I show up, they say, "we can't do the alignment because there's a car stuck on the rack, but we can put the new tires on." Why would I put new tires on without the alignment? I now have to come back a fourth time to finally get my tires put on and aligned. This is an outrageous waste of time, money, and driving on my spare. I expressed that I needed this done ASAP and rescheduling my appointment more than once is ridiculous. The service was terrible, I received no apology for coming here on three separate occasions. The employees were rude. This was an extremely frustrating experience. read more

I work so much it was great to be able to get there late. The last two times I've gone they've given me a BS excuse why they can't do it. Came in on 11/29 around 1pm because I had a screw in my rear tire and wanted it repaired. Was informed by the lady at the counter that they do not repair tires that are past 3-4 years old and suggested I go to a shop down the road if I wanted a repair. Fair enough, not upset about that. Decided to just bite the bullet and get a set of 4 new tires since my front tires were worn anyway. Was told they would do a complimentary alignment check since I was purchasing a full set of tires. $1,200 and about an hour later, truck is ready to go. As I grab my keys from the gentleman that pulled my truck out, Brian Thebodeau, he tells me that the wear pattern on my old tires indicated my truck was out of alignment, and suggested I get an alignment soon. Get home and go online to schedule an alignment when I noticed on Tirebarn's website they have a promotion for a $25 alignment with the purchase of 4 new tires. I called back and spoke to Brian and asked if I could bring the truck back in for the alignment. He said he wouldn't have time that day, but that I could bring it in another time. Asked if they would still honor the $25 alignment promotion and he said that "we'll take care of you." Schedule an alignment online for 11/30 at 8am. Walk in at 8am and was rudely told the alignment tech wouldn't be in until 10am and that I would need to come back. Ok, fair enough. Came back at around 11:30 am and was "greeted" by the same rude individual. Told her the situation with the alignment. "Huh?!" she said in a rude tone. "You gotta do the alignment when you get the tires put on." Told her I called back right after and that I was told the promotion would still be honored. Rest of the conversation was as follows: Her: "Who told you that?!" Me: "Brian" Her: "We'll then you gotta come back when Brian is working then so he can do it." Me: "Well when is Brian in?" Her: "I can't tell you'll just have to call later." Dumbfounded, I turned and walked out the door. If someone decides it's worth their time to keep me as a customer and reach out to honor their promotion, I will happily return and update my review accordingly. Took my truck in the next day when Brian was in and he honored the $25 alignment as promised. The service is HORRIBLE. They treat you like your a piece of trash. Horrible, awful customer service. We walked in and I complimented the black gal on her nails. I previously had experience with her a couple years ago that was the same as today and hoped entering with an extra sweet demeanor and compliment would go well. Tire barn broke a stud while replacing my tires. No big deal but they told me they couldn't fix it that day and to come back during the week. So two days later I came back, they had my car for an hour before they told me they couldn't fix my stud. Said he didn't have the right tool. I went down the street to another place who fixed it in 5 minutes flat. However, what Tire Barn didn't tell me was that in the struggle to fix it , a piece of metal broke off and lodged behind my caliper preventing it from moving. So when I left there my brakes weren't working correctly and it took me a while to figure out what the problem was and get it fixed. If Tire Barn had told me there was a problem or even noticed that a piece broke I wouldn't be mad but they didn't. Just sent me on my way like nothing was wrong. read more

Store review: I am kind of torn when it comes to replacing tires. For my entire life I have always had my tires replaced at the dealership. Tires and removing them from the rims is always the major difficulty that can lead to damage. To me it is still unclear as to what to expect with a tire job. I once had rims that were cut up like a can opener at the dealership which I had to argue that it was not curb rash on all four tires. So my wife got a screw stuck into her tire and it was too close to the side wall to repair. I ended up calling the dealership and they said it would be a few days before the tires would come in so I decided to look elsewhere. I called up tire barn and they were able to give me a complete quote over the phone including tax, tired disposal, and a deal on tire warranty with the set of four tires. I was concern as I read the other reviews here, but I heard they were under new management. I came in on a rainy friday afternoon. The whole process to replace the tires and perform a front end alignment clocked in at 1 hr 40 min. The tire prices were okay and comparable to what I saw online. They do have some nice perks such as free tire rotation every 5000 miles, free nitrogen refill, tire patch. I did indicate I wanted them to document the condition of the rims because I did not want a repeat of a prior can opening experience. The rims themselves looked good, but after look at the pictures on yelp I went back and looked into the wells where the lugnuts were and did also notice some scratches. Again I know it is difficult to keep everything perfect, but maybe this is to be expected. Overall I am happy with the service and product delivered. Managers are great to talk to and them appear to be passionate about there work. Pros: free tire rotation every 5k miles for the life of tires, free patching, nitrogen refill for free and tire check. Discount on alignment of 30 dollars if you have your tires replaced here. Friendly staff when they have time to talk Cons: Ultimately damage can occur with the rims, make sure you have them look at your rims and document what they look like before you have service done on them. Prices at times can be confusing as the website only indicates price of install and tires, but not sales tax or tire disposal fee Hidden deals: Check out the coupons on the website, free tire rotation, tire patch, etc. I may have to take my tires on my other car here for the free rotation when the time comes. The tires finally arrived and I was able to pay and leave at 3:15pm. A total of a four hour stay in the lobby. I experienced negligence, confusion and slow workmanship. I have purchased my tires here for years and the change in management and ownership has created a significant decline in service. I came into the shop and complained about my tire rotation and it took them 3 times to get it right. Then I needed to do a warranty claim on my tires, I came in and spoke to someone in person and was told I would be contacted once they reached the tire provider. Eight days passed, and I never heard from anyone. I spoke to the manager on the phone and was told to contact the person I originally spoke with. He suggested I call back in 2 days. I showed up in person and this person was not at work. An associate was there who said, um hmm and called me honey a lot, but she wasn't helpful either. I was advised to contact the company directly. She also said someone would get back with me the next day , and no one did. I followed her recommendation, and contacted the company, and the company said the tire dealer (Tire Barn) should have handled this because they (Tire Barn) need to provide the measurement of the tires. On my third trip to Tire Barn, two associates looked at me but did not help me. I had to get their attention, and they finally ended their conversation to greet me. In addition, it appeared filing a warranty claim was an act of moving a mountain, and after some time I was told it is a long process. This level of wanton disregard and incompetence is unacceptable, but has become the norm based on my experiences. When Allen was the manager, I NEVER had any issues! I brought my car in to get a TPMS out in the driver side front. And I was told that I had three bad tires and there no way to fix any of them. I said to myself "there's no way it's that bad." The lady at the counter said they couldn't put in the sensor on a bad tire (that sounded odd) so I relented and asked show much a tire was going to be $250... For one tire. $316 out the door. I was supposed to get a $50 instant rebate on my set of Michelin Defenders and the guy forgot to put it on my receipt and subtract that from the price. I was told a check would be in the mail in 5-10 business days (this was on 1/14). I just now got a letter stating that I'd be refunded $56.51 for canceling my road hazard warranty. The customer service was great when I got the job done and I'm loving my tires but the experience I'm having with my rebate and this letter is making my rating drop quickly. I'll update this review as my saga continues. The store did great but corporate sucks. Happy with my tire purchase but still don't have my rebate. To follow up...I got my rebate and am still very happy with my purchase. The employees do a great job and they even put air in my tires for no charge when I was just going to ask where I wanted to be (PSI wise). Horrible customer service! I arrived 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment and waited over 2 hours after I was told it would be "45 minutes to a hour, if that." The lady working was one of the worst people I've dealt with in customer service. She lied to me (even though I knew she was lying to me), gave me a higher price than the online quote (claimed the website doesn't show the extra fees) and I watched her roll her eyes and be snippy with everyone that called in, in my 2-plus hours in the waiting room. I absolutely would not recommend this shop, until turnover cleans up this huge customer service problem. read more

I set an appointment yesterday being stuck here while traveling they couldn't get to me yesterday so I had to pay for another night in a hotel. Today the guy rudely says I don't have an 8am appointment so what am I going to do though I have the text and email in my phone and marked me down as a walk-in. Here it is 9am with two customers in front of me somehow and looking to pay for another night in a hotel to pay $80 to install two tires. If I was home I could pay a neighbor $20 and be on my way within the hour read more

Had a flat tire at 3pm on a Sunday. Was able to get towed to Tire barn but didn't arrive until 3:50 when they close at 4. They instantly took my car in, evaluated my tire, and had it replaced in 20 minutes. True life savers! read more

I've been a happy customer at this place since 2015. I'm a tire enthusiast so like to have max performance summer and dedicated winter's. I typically wait for the best online deals then have Tire Barn do the mount and install. Always been an honest experience with mount and balance right around $120 or so. Today however it jumped to $175. $20 for nitro fill. I don't want that. Sorry sir that's all we have. You don't have air? No only nitro. So you don't have air? No only for customers who buy our tires. Ah ok. I get it. This place lost a customer for life. Went half a block away to another and got an honest qoute. Buyer beware if you want to do business here. read more
