I honestly can't praise this establishment enough. Im like a high school girl smitten by her hs crush. I went to Tire Central today to remove a nail in my tire. I was immediately attended to and the tire was patched without fuss and drama. During my short 30min wait, I got to play their street fighter arcade machine and brush up on my hadouken skills. Anthony contacted me back and forth with the information what I was looking for including the wheel. I got great customer service through email with Anthony to confirm pricing and availability. I've been a patron of tire central back when they were on Walnut. They've nvr charged for tire patches or rotations my work truck runs over nails pretty frequently. I called for a potential patch or new tires and Donald said to let them check and advise to see if I can hold of so they can save me money 1st. Since I hual stuff all the time and treck some good miles I just replaced them. He said Saturdays are their busiest days so I made sure to go on a weekday. I did the check in and got $10 off and the service time was less than 45mins. They are pretty forgivable too, brought my brother new tires once and he popped it on the freeway 2 days later. I wanted to replace my old Pirelli tires with a set of Michelin tires. Tirerack.com charges $214 per tire, plus shipping, plus the cost of installation which came out to about $530 total. T&M Auto Repair does not carry Michelin tires for my car. Tire Central offered me $226 per tire including installation, which comes out to $490 total after taxes. From the financial standpoint, Tire Central obliterates the competition. I loved that they have a waiting room with a beautiful saltwater aquarium and TV to keep customers entertained. After sitting around for 1 hour and 20 minutes, I decided to see what was going on. I found one of the employees rummaging through my work bag. The joke is on him, I'M POOR! There is nothing valuable in there! I approached him and asked him what he was looking for. He got startled. He told me I he was looking for the wheel nuts. I made a move toward my car and he told me he got it and quickly roped off the work area with a yellow plastic chain as if to say, stay away from me! I stood behind the yellow chain, watching them change my tires. Once they get going, it took them about 15 minutes to change out my tire. It pays to be on Yelp!! My car needed its first set of new tires, and previously, I had gone to Costco for tires or asked friends at work for a recommendation. I stumbled upon this place cruising Yelp one day, had to give them a try after reading all the great reviews. I actually went to Tire Central twice - once to check the place out & order tires, and then 1 week later to get them installed. These guys really know their stuff! By asking just a few questions, David was able to guess my current mileage, driving habits, and recommended a set of Yokohama tires for my Acura TL. I didn't have an appointment, and at 4pm on Saturday it was at least a 1 hour wait just to get to my car. I decided to not keep the guys any longer at the shop than they needed to be, and David scheduled appointment at 9am the following Saturday. Today, I met Donald, who found me in their computer system, and got me on my way in less than 45 minutes. Their work area is very interesting. Rather than using designated bays, they have a large space and go freestyle. I don't want to say what crazy over-priced place originally quoted me $1,400 for a set of 4 tires, but I paid less than half that at Tire Central. One thing I really liked is that they quote you an installed, out-the-door price. I know that there is a tire disposal fee in California, and then some places charge extra for valve stems, balancing, or (insert your favorite non-nonsensical charge here). Not these guys. Just a number per tire, and then add sales tax. As others have noted, this is not an easy place to find! Donald and his crew have so much business, they don't even need a sign outside! I came here on a recommendation of a friend but I guess if I had checked Yelp, I would have probably done the same. I actually came out maybe two years back with Dan M. when he was getting all his tires replaced. I don't remember how much he paid but I remember deeeym, are my eyes on crack? I made a mental note for the day I would have to come back. So, long story short of why I had to come here today: low pros don't mix with potholes - esp at 5 in the morning with low visibility (due to sleepiness and probably Asian woman-ness). Sigh. Be careful out there!! Stupid rain. I called in the morning to see if they handled run flats and if they had them in stock - yes they do!! In case you were wondering, not everyone has stock or handles them. And it's cheaper than any other places in the city. Then, I got in my car and prayed the tires would make it to the shop. It was the first time I was thankful for traffic on parts of the freeway - I was that person going 50 mph, slower than the trucks. ANYway. 5 stars all around for Donald and team. I really wanted to love this place and support a local business. I do not write bad reviews ever but this is very upsetting and it's not like this would hurt their reputation anyways. I have bought a set of tires for my wife's Scion tC here two years ago in their old location and had no issues with them. I went to buy a new set of Hankooks for my Civic Si about two months ago and got a rebate which was cool. I also got an alignment and balance with it of course so everything should be set. I work on and maintain my car myself so about two weeks after I had to change my front brake pads. I found out that one of the studs for my lug nut on my driver side was siezed with some sort of red sticky substance. I couldn't get it to screw in tight so I returned to ask about what happened but apparently there was "nothing wrong" with it and should be fine.... No reimbursement, no sorry; just it should be fine. Another week passes by and my tire pressure light went on and my car started pulling to the right.. so I went back to see what it is. Come to find out my rear driver side tire was hit with a nail and plugged up for free. Awesome! The issue with it pulling to the right was not an alignment issue, it was apparently my "motor mounts" because it only pulls when I accelerate. When I go home and check my motor mounts seem fine and my engine does not shake or feel unstable. So 2 months or so after... I went to America's Tire Depot where I got my wife's tires about 5k miles ago (emergency needed tires immediately and didn't want to get towed all the way to SGV) for the free lifetime rotation and balance for my wife's tC.. but decided to get rotation and balance for my Civic Si as well. When finished with my car, the tech explained to me the issues I had for my Si. He stated the stud that is siezed will not be fixable unless I buy a new hub (which I already knew of), my rear driver side tire was plugged up with a cheap AutoZone part that will not last long, and my tires were really off balanced! This is totally not cool at all... I've tried supporting this place because I want to support local businesses but this drew the line. I feel this is very unprofessional especially when I've tried so hard to love this place.. and to think they have a perfect 5 star reviews? I'm glad everyone else has had great experiences here but I have not personally. read more

Nobody carried the tires I was looking for and wanted me to change to another brand. Not that Tires Central had my tire either but they didn't fuss with me. After getting their low price I asked Allen if they could order me a pair and wanted to know the earliest I could have them installed. He stated the following day at noon so I jumped on it. Tony C. referred me to this place when he saw one of my reviews of a different tire place I went to out in Chino/Montclair area. Tire Central does set itself from the used/new tire places I've been going to. Tire Central deals with only new tires but a much better price than Costco or American Tire Co. If you're looking for plain Jane generic tires, how can you beat $70 per tire? Yokohama and Sumitomo are a little bit more but I'm sure you'll be satisfied in the selection they have. The service is quick and you don't have to wait around like you do at Costco or Discount Tires. As long as the prices stay relatively the same, I'll keep coming here with all the cars I have and continue to recommend this place to friends who ask. Honestly, you really can't go wrong at this place. You get honest prices and good service. Because they are great with what they do and give you competitive prices, you may have to wait a bit. BUT you can always call in a schedule and appointment and call in your order. Because I have a car that has stagger tires, I don't get the luxury of flipping my tires, I would have to replace them. =( With these great prices, I feel a bit better of getting my car some new kicks! First time customer, extremely impressed. Came in for a set of Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires. Five cars in front of me. Was in and out in 20 minutes. I had to wait over 5+ hours at King's Tires, they didn't balance correctly, and they scraped my rim (there's a light red ring around one rim). ---APPOINTMENTS ONLY---- A friend of mine recommended me to Tire Central, letting me know a fellow name Allen (One of the Manager's at Tire Central) would give me a great deal. Unfortunately I was cheap and wasn't in the market for new tires (although one just blew out)....I was just looking to put my stock tires and rim back on and I needed to transfer the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) back onto the OEM wheels & tires. Allen balanced my tires...transferred the TMPS, inflated my tires and installed them. The whole ordeal took nearly 30-40 minutes. This was fairly quick considering how busy they were. I missed my early appointment and the gentleman Allen was able to squeeze me in with a short wait time. -$25. Insanely cheap especially since some places try to rip me off by charging me $15 just to rotate my tires! If I'm ever in the need to buy tires, I'm definitely going to check this place out first. -The place is a little hard to find...once you pass the train tracks on Walnut Grove you gotta make a right pretty soon. I've been a customer of Tire Central's for 10+ years, starting back when they were at their old location. Seeing tons of 5-star reviews for them, I didn't feel the need to add another review stating what has already been said numerous times. But I'm wrong. Even after being their customer for so long, I still get blown away by how good their customer service is. Yesterday I took my car in with a flat. While I was showing Alan the tire, I laughed and said "You guys just changed this for me a few months ago too!" Hearing this, Alan offered to give me the replacement tire at cost. He totally did not have to do that, I would have paid full price for a new tire, since the flat was completely my fault. I also expected him to charge a small installation fee or something, but he did not. They literally did not make any money on this transaction. Tire Central is the kind of place that you can go to, and trust that they won't rip you off, their prices are good without having to shop around, they are experts at what they do, and they completely have your best interest at heart. Even if you find tires elsewhere for a TINY BIT less, you will not get the same level of service at other places. I personally hate waiting, but they are worth the wait. I had a flat tire one morning.. could see the screw in it. My tires were bald.. I was concerned whenever it rained... I especially did not like this one spot where i have to make a U-turn everyday. I came here a few years ago when I got my XXRs mounted. They finished it within a day. Donald also told me if I didn't like how it rode I could come back and return them which was definitely a plus! I went there a couple of weeks ago to get my tires for a set of 7 series rims. I called in advance for the set of tires I wanted, but unfortunately they didn't make them in those sizes so he recommended me a great deal on continentals which were about $100 cheaper than usual. I dropped it off in the morning, then i get a text a few hours later stating that one of the rims were cracked :( . So I got a replacement and constantly asked Donald if they had the set of tires I wanted for my rears and he said they were out of stock for awhile and probably won't receive them any time soon. The next day he said he found a pair in the corner tucked between the rest of the tires and he gave them to me at a great price. I called several places but all the places are out of my budget. Finally, I got a quote from Tire Central from Yelp. They offered me several brand of tires. The cheapest one is Advanta tires. I finally decided to get these tires. The tires looks very good. I like it and I looked up Advanta brand, their quality are very good and they are also sold at Walmart.
