A bit over 10 years ago I was a broke college kid with barely anything to my name. I was already stressed out about my finance and then I got a flat. I called many places try to get the cheapest tire because I was broke. All the places quoted me about $50 for the flat tire. Tire Central quoted me $40 ish. That $10 meant the world to me at the time since I was broke so I drove down to get my tire fixed. To my surprise after my tire was fixed they informed me they found out the tire is actually more affordable then the price given over the phone and only charged me $34 instead of $40. Just a heads up though they do get quite busy (makes sense given the great service) and it's a first come first served basis. They fixed my tire and even gave me a cap for the tube (one of my tires didn't have one). So kind of them! I got a nail in one of my tires. Saw good review about this place and went in. Was told to hand over the key and check back in about an hour. They were quite busy as I saw 6-7 people waiting outside. So I left, and came back after an hr, was given my car key and told "you are all set". I could not believe my ears and had to ask "no charge?!" . "No" was the answer. I'd been having trouble with my tire pressure light constantly going on. I'd recently gotten new tires and even had a new sensor in but still, it would always pop on. After reading so many great reviews I decided to check this place out and WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! The team was thorough and gave a great attention to detail to my car. Whereas other places I felt would find a ho-hum reason as to why I was having issues, I actually could see the mechanic diligently checking each part of the tire thoroughly. He ended up finding out that it was a worn out piece of rubber under the spigot where the air valve is. Not only did he communicate with me, but he replaced the part timely, pulled my car up for me as if it were a valet, and told me that the whole things was.... wait for it.... FREE OF CHARGE. I got a flat tire and towed my car to Tire Central. Technician were so busy and so many cars waiting for the service. Since my tire was completely flat and I could not inflate it at all, so I figured that I had to replace it and the run flat tire is not cheap. But after Allen removed the tire and checked it, he told me it was repairable and he just plugged it for me. Even more surprisingly when I went to pay he didn't charge me anything for the repair. I was fortunate/unfortunate that I got my first screw in my tire so I wasn't sure how the process goes. This place is close to where I live so I dropped in for a quote and was utterly confused when they told me the cost to fix/patch was free. They were busy and I would just have to wait my turn before they start working on my car. Alan gave me an estimate of how long I'd have to wait so I just came back around when he told me. They did the work quickly and even filled up air for my other 3 tires. The work was done and like I was told, there was 0 charge to me. Well, I'm sold. I took it to tire central because they treated me well last time I came. Low and behold, they fixed my tire again quickly and free of charge. I don't usually write reviews but just HAD to in this case. Had a rear low tire pressure warning and noticed a screw embedded in the tire. I work in San Gabriel and Googled the nearest tire shop and Tire Central was only few blocks away. Took the car there and went into the office and a young man asked how he can help and I told him about the low tire pressure. He said there was like 14 cars ahead of me and the wait would be about 2 hours or more. So I asked him if I can leave the car since I had to get back to work. He took my key and asked for my name and phone number. Nearing 5 pm, I called the shop and asked if my car was done and the young man said it was and that he called me. I checked my phone and notice a miss call from him, my bad! I walked to the shop and the young man, named Alan, as I found this out from his co-worker calling his name, gave me my key and I took out my wallet to pay, and he just said, "it's ok!" I was taken back by this and throughly impressed! In today's world, every business will try to make a buck or two every which way possible, and this is just a way of life, but Tire Central and specifically Alan, are not the norm, which is a breath of fresh air! Great experience with Tire Central. I had a slow leak tire, and I didn't know whether it needed to be replaced or it could be simply replaced. They don't take appointments and provides service first come first serve. I arrived and Alan took care of me. I described the issue, he said he would look at it. I waited maybe 30-45 mins. Next thing I found out was my tire was repaired and NO CHARGE. You heard that right...no charge. I don't know Alan. I don't know a friend who knows a friend who knows Alan. He simply explained that for small tire repairs like mine, they don't charge. I get it's a great way to encourage loyalty and a repeat visit, but still no other place I been to does that. In the end, I have concluded I will be returning to Tire Central for any future tire issues. read more

Unluckily, I have had 4 flat tires this year. Can you believe it?! FOUR. Last Friday was my fourth, and hopefully my last for the year lol. I blame all the damn never-ending construction in SGV but I digress... Fortunately, Tire Central has been there for all of them. They always patch my tires up in less than 30 minutes. I made an appointment here awhile ago to have a simple tire replacement. The service I received was unprofessional, rude, and utterly disgusting. DO NOT be fooled by fake 4/5 star reviews. The day I brought my car in I confirmed with the owner that the job would be performed and that I'd be able to pick up my car before the shop closed that day (5pm). This was important, as I had work the following day and required my car. I walked into the office and was told to "just leave the keys" on the counter in a very crude manner. The exchange was very brief, and no information was given about when I would be able to pick up my vehicle. I assumed that I would get a call at the very least when my car was ready. The time neared to about 4:30 and I had received no call. I attempted to call many times but no one answered. I was forced to Uber to work. They attempted to contact me at 5:50pm although I could not pick up due to work. (Mind you their establishment closes at 5pm.) The next day I called them and try to check on my car. The guy cuts me off mid-sentence to say "we tried calling you so many times, and waited for you for an hour" in a very annoyed and nasty tone. (they tried calling me during hours that they were supposed to be closed.) Overall, my experience was horrible at this place. I suggest that you take your business elsewhere for anything auto related as the customer service is extremely rude. They wasted my time, complicated the entire process, and disrespected me as a customer. Truly disgusting and unprofessional in every aspect. There's better shops out there, this place is a dump.
