I came in for a oil change and they added on a $25 oil disposal fee that my coupon stated was only supposed to be $5 which I find to be ridiculous, never have I ever heard or been charged a fee for that...I was supposed to get a free tire rotation which they didn't do then when I questioned them about the disposal fee the guy that was helping me let out a sigh of irritation as if I was asking something I shouldn't lol. The manager Matthew was so genuine and has a good sense of humor. He did my tire repair and filled the hole. And for free. Of course I gave a good tip. I broke down when attending a meeting. I am from Cincinnati and I had to get back home. I called True Care based on a suggestion of one of the attendees. The gentleman I spoke to was very kind and helpful. My tie rod had broken. He assured me he could get it fixed THAT DAY if I could get the vehicle to him by 5pm. We were able to get the car to them by 4:55pm. He worked on the car himself and had it ready. The price was reasonable. The work was done quickly and well. Went for a oil change .no oil change sticker. Grease on the door from techs hands. The bill I got didn't add up correctly. It was easy to set appointment on line.I came back to get my oil change sticker and asked him don't I get oil change sticker and he said sometimes ?he was serious planning on paying around 40 ended up being 51 dollars. read more

I went in on a Sunday with a flat tire. They couldn't patch it so they were able to get me another tire at another location. Went and picked it up and had it all done in just over an hour. Impressive! read more

I would try somewhere else. Expensive quotes. Very overpriced for the work they do. Very little diagnostics done just replacing and charging for things they have no idea about. Very careless. Had one good experience - the other 3 were trash. The one repair they did on my exhaust was $200 for a piece of pipe and 2 clamps (already fell back off). They were also rude to my AAA. Our car was leaking gas. You'd think that's an emergency, right? They told us that they would order parts for us, but they never called us back. When we called to ask them about it, we got a really annoyed person on the other line. I took my '04 Beetle to Monro just over a year ago with my son-in-law, a mechanic, due to a coolant leak. They offered a very fair price to replace the Bug's notorious plastic-impeller water pump with an aftermarket metal impeller water pump, and my son-in-law suggested I have them do the work. A few months later my wife took her '07 Altima in while I was at work due to sloppy braking. They charged her well over double the going rate to replace her calipers, which they claimed were locked up. Turns out locked up calipers smoke badly because you're basically driving with your brakes depressed, which is the opposite of what was happening. They opened a Goodyear credit card in my name to pay for the unneeded service, without a signature. I never even filled out an application. My wife didn't sign anything for me. They just charged me. A year later, my son-in-law just fixed my aforementioned '04 Beetle's coolant leak. The plastic-impeller water pump went bad. Read that again. read more

NEVER TRUST MONRO TO FIX A CAR! (At least in Dayton OH) They seem to knowingly screw your car to insure future repairs! My husband can't work now! After 3 times apparently sabotaging his car years ago, We took it there recently only because he was in an accident next to Monro. $1,100 to fix a wheel bearing that is now a couple months later again broken and completely unsafe to drive. This place has a pattern of claiming they fix something and then it breaking months later. If they cost him his job, heads will roll. I WOULD demand they fix the damage they caused, but they probably just rip out his brakes! Numerous other people have reported to mew similar experiences. read more

I went there because my car was misfiring and I requested a tune up. They insisted I didn't need a tune up but gave me a list of other very expensive things my car did need. I agreed to fuel line cleaning for $$$. My car still misfired and got progressively worse. After a month of fearing I would die each time I got into my car and unable to afford the mile-long list of issues, I went to auto zone, got the supples for a tune up including the sockets and did it myself for under $50. My car is running fine now. I'm not certain why they insisted I didn't need a tune up. They said my wires and plugs looked good, yet the wire on cylinder one fell apart in my hand. And with the difficulty I encountered pulling the wires from the plugs, it's clear they had not been removed to check. Also, the code from the code reader at auto zone clearly said misfire on one, and nothing about the things they told me at this shop. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. My car came out of Monro in worse condition than when it entered. Patronizing staff with poor communication. Went here to get an oil change and *maybe* a tire rotation. My car is less about 3 years old and had been running perfectly fine! Just needed the oil change. They tell me my brake pads need replacing (I know for a fact they don't). They did the tire rotation, gave me my car back after an hour and a half wait and I drive off. I notice that the front driver side feels bumpy and is making a whirring sound in rhythm with the tire rotations. I drive around for a while and continue to feel and hear it. I took it back to Monro and tell them what's up. They are apologetic but assure me that's it's just the way the tires have been rotated (wth). I'm not satisfied with that answer, so they drive my car around and then supposedly just put all the tires back where they were before and say that should feel "more like what I'm used to" but that it also might just be because my suspension is bad. I have never had suspension issues with this vehicle, but I've had them before with an older car so I know what they feel like! I get back in my car to get on with my day (half of it is gone by now) and now the bumping is even worse, and sure enough it feels like my rear suspension is messed up now! I am so furious. I will NEVER go back here again. read more

Do not get work done on your vehicle here. My mother took her 2011 Chevy in b/c it was making a rubbing noise. They told her she needed new brakes and rotors. She got a 2nd opinion b/c they told her it would cost about $400. Her 2nd opinion mechanic shop told her she had rust dust/debris around the brakes. They air compressed it out for her and she had 60% of her brake pads left and her rotors were fine. They didn't even charge her. This placed tried to rip her off even though she has been going there for years, has their charge card, and spent thousands on repairs and maintenance. My mom works hard for very little money and can't afford nonsense repairs. Please take your car just about anywhere else. read more

Ripped off! Took my car here because we knew we were having an issue with our muffler. Monro was close to home and because "muffler" was in the name, we thought it was a good choice. We dropped it off so they could look at it at their convenience. A little while later I received a call from them explaining all the things wrong with my entire exhaust system and that it would be $851!!! My husband and I thought this amount of repair seemed excessive because we bought it brand new and it was only 4 years old. How was everything rusted and it all needed replaced?!? Long story short, we decided to get a second opinion and we are so glad we did. The second place we went to said there was just one place that needed some whelding and went on to explain there "wasn't a thing wrong with the rest of the exhaust". They charged us $92 bucks. Our car has been running great every since! Will never go back to Monro even if my car breaks down right in front of the building! I gave it 1 star because 0 stars wasn't an option!!! read more
