We try to stay local so we can support our surrounding businesses instead of going to the big name stores! We will not be returning to this particular store. We dropped our vehicle off to get 4 new tires. Shortly after dropping it off my husband receives a call that one of our tire sensors is broken. Interesting because our tire light wasn't on when we dropped it off. The woman that called said I'm surprised it wasn't on. My husband asked for the sensor. When we went in to pick up the van, woman at the counter says "It's funny it was just rolling around in there in pieces." Yeah not so funny when it's gets broken by the person taking the tire off. Would it be funny if it was your vehicle? I doubt it. The woman( I didn't get her name) immediately went on the defensive it came in that way, I stand by my guys!! Yeah and I stood by my mechanics when I worked in the industry too, but mistakes happen. My husband and I did notice the signs on the counter that they are not responsible for broken tire sensors or any damage to your rims. Well we now know why both of those signs are necessary. This is their way of not taking responsibility for the actions of their employees. The pictures are provided to show the dent in the sensor, that doesn't just happen! Kuddos to everyone that has had a great experience with this establishment. Sadly ours was not so great!

I was cleaning out my garage and decided to part ways with some old rims and tires. I was referred to Tire City by a friend. The staff here is hard working, helpful and friendly. Once I arrived, I checked in at the front counter and was assigned to a service bay. You have to go into the office first to set up your workorder. The technician even helped me unload the wheels, then proceeded to take them in to separate the rim from the tire. It took about 20 minutes to do the separation. Afterwards the same technician helped me load the rims into my truck. I scrapped my rims, since I couldn't sell them. Tire City charged me $40 to dispose of the 4 old tires. This is a full service Tire service/repair facility. There are 11 service bays in this facility. If you need a brake job, or wheel and tire issues fixed, check this spot out. There are two waiting areas. A small one at the entrance and the main waiting room, just inside of the front door.

Through the good recommendation of a AAA contracted tow driver, I was fortunate to have been served by Boney Jones; Tire City on Monday, August 29, 2016.

I blame myself for not asking for the price in advance. When the tire was done he said $25. I was kind of floored by that but what could I do at this point the work was done. I only had $20 in cash so I told him I had to walk across the street to go to the ATM for more money. He took the tire and put it inside the garage out of site. I came back from getting money and another vehicle was pulled up behind mine. I need to point out that I brought the tire with me in my car. They didn't have to remove the tire from the car or put it back on. There were 3 women and a child standing at the entrance to the garage door where my tire was inside somewhere. I stood at my car drinking the iced tea I got from 7-11 when I went to get money. Then one of the women yelled to me asking me if I was paying for my tire. I was surprised by this for 2 reasons one being the guy I was working with was nowhere to be found and I assumed the people there were customers he was dealing with. I walked over and said I was waiting because I thought you were ahead of me. She responded, "What"? "Because I'm a woman I need help"? "I can't work here"? I responded, "You know thats not what I meant." I paid the money and walked away. It is difficult to portray the way the conversation went in real time and the tones involved but know that this person was seriously offended that I assumed they were there for a tire getting fixed. Because every tire repair shop has 3 women and a child standing outside of it as employees. This encounter aggravated me. There was no need for things to go the way they did. Even though I know I was being overcharged I didn't make a big deal because I should have asked. Once the work is done they can charge whatever they want. I normally go to Trinidad tires whether in Philly or up in Lower Bucks but this place was closer to home so I gave it a shot. Never again! I don't care if I have to push my car several miles to the next tire place. I would never use this place again. By the way I wish I would have read the other reviews before going.

At Mongo's, they could not be more straight up. I went in and shared what I thought was the issue on 2 occasions a week apart. Each time, they correctly and quickly identified the issue. Anthony was very stand up about the work that needed to be done and didn't just tell me, he invited me back into the shop to show and explain the issues. All told, I had my alternator, struts, sway bar links and tires replaced quickly and without issue. Additionally, for those worried about estimates they might give, they may say estimate, but that ended up being what I paid both times. There wasn't additional cost and there very clear about being greenlit before doing any work. And on top of it all, Anthony offered me a ride back home while the work was being done and then picked me up upon completion. To take the time to do something they had no obligation to do was amazingly considerate. Go to Mongo's for you car needs, they do it better than anyone!
