Had this location perform 100K mile service on my Honda Pilot, which I have owned and maintained…read moresince new. $1700 which included timing belt kit replacement (tensioner, belt, water pump). After 2 years, the engine developed a loud knock. Inspection by another shop found the timing belt disintegrating and the tensioner was failing. Calling Ken Towery's and referencing my previous work order number, they were unable to tell me what parts/manufacturer were used. When I stated a timing belt should last much longer than 2 years, they stated it was outside the warranty period and there was nothing they could do. After inspecting the parts they used, they appeared to be sub-OEM quality. Attached pictures show pieces of the timing belt as it was coming apart. Also, the wrong color anti-freeze was used for a Japanese vehicle. The front line staff is very friendly, as a positive.

If it takes 5-6 hrs to do an oil change then you are in the wrong line of work. Went to Wal Mart Service Center and got it done in 30 mins. Hope the manager of this establishment know how lazy their employees are.

They didn't address some of the concerns I had, which was a bummer, but it is what it is. Though I would have liked to known why my speedometer isn't working and why the ABS light is on. I get it, my POS Mazda would have clogged up one of the lifts for a whole day where they could be doing multiple other jobs. Guys seem nice enough, place seems nice, and I guess if the need arose I would try again.

I received a subtle "oh, no one is in there?" when I walked around the store to enter the garage area again and speak to a tech directly. VERY frustrating and not even a sorry for the wait or any follow up on whether or not the patch worked on the tire.
