I normally use tire discounters. This is the second time I've tried to use this place. The first time they were saying all their power was out and they couldn't work on the car even though I had an appointment and lights were on the side of the building. They said they had an electrician on the way, but he was from Knoxville so it would be several days I missed that appointment. However, the discount tire across town easily fix the problem with no worries or issues. The second issue is going in today. You need a patch on one of my tires and the tires rotated and then telling me that my tire was too old because it was made in 2019 and wasn't serviceable so the only thing they could do is sell me four brand new tires acting is that the other three were bad and I didn't drive the truck in there on the tires. Had Tire Discounters change my oil. They called and said whoever changed it last broke the filter casing and it would have to be replaced. THEY are the ones who did the last oil change and I had to argue with them and they wouldn't change the oil until they verified with a Carfax! They also "recommended" several things that needed to be done such as front and rear brakes and rotors (which I had replaced less than a year ago), sway bar, front wheel bearings, control arm and ball joint in the front, about $1,500 worth of issues. I took the car to a mechanic in Hendersonville that's been in business over 30 years that I completely trust and he said he went all over the car and found NOTHING wrong! Tire Discounters will rip you off every time if you let them. Stick to putting on tires and doing rotations. read more

Taking liberties is an understatement. Brought my car in because of an engine malfunction light. Turns out they could not work on it so I have to take it to a dealer instead. The problem is they decided to ask my fleet coordinator for approval to change my tires instead which I DID NOT ASK for, nor did they ask me if I wanted to get it approved. They just went behind my back and straight to my fleet coordinator. I did not need tires, especially since I am turning it in for a new car in a couple of months. Took it upon themselves to create $1000 worth of business for themselves without my knowledge. Highly unethical and you just forever lost any future business from me and everyone I know. read more

I've been a Tire Discounters customer ever since I lived in Kentucky. When I moved down to Nashville 12 years ago, I was glad they were down here as well. All my cars' records of maintenance easily carried over. I do all my car's maintenance and tire shopping with them. I will say for the most part, they do a good job. In Hendersonville, I ran into issues a few times with the East Main location. OK top of that, they are always busy and it's hard to get an appointment with them. When the Glenbrook location opened up, I take all my business to this location now. I've gotten several same day appointments with them and I've yet to have a maintenance issue with them. One tip is to go to their website and see if there are any coupons you can print out. Sometimes you can get a couple bucks off a specific service. read more

We purchased tires for all 3 vehicles at this location. We purchased all the expensive insurance guaranteed to fully cover everything. Well... We got a nail randomly in a relatively new tire that couldn't be repaired and they wanted to charge us over $100 for this. With insurance. Then a couple weeks later it happened on a different vehicle same insurance. Same deal. Nail hole. Wanted to charge us over $180 for this. Unacceptable. Do not patronize this business. The last two times we have went for oil changes things have been broken and we were not told about it. Small things but every single time it's something broken or missing. We've been customers for YEARS but this new policy for road hazard is insane. You expect a true road hazard to be absolutely covered when it's fully insured. That insurance is not cheap. Extremely pleased by the professionalism and cleanliness of this location this morning. I arrived 3rd in line without an appointment this morning after noticing a piece of debris in my tire. I was greeted promptly and professionally by a gentleman. He took down my name and number, handed over my keys. They gave me the item that was in my tire and patched it for free! Didn't try to sell me anything (my vehicle is serviced routinely by the dealership) that wasn't coming up due or already watching. Not plugged but patched! I gave the person who fixed it $5 for a coffee and thanked them!! Then I looked at the tire to ensure it was holding @5 pm that night and notice the impact gun has chipped my wheel in 2 spots They're closed until Monday and I'm sure this is on my dime now! read more

Got to the shop at 8:30am and was told it would be 1hr-1.5 hours to replace 3 tires (that I brought with me). I waited 3 hours and they still never put my car on the lift!! When I asked them why the dude replied "we've been busy" They obviously took other clients before me and had no regard for my time/schedule. The front desk dude said it would be an additional 1.5 hours but can't promise anything. So ridiculous. If you cherish your time and also care about being respected- do not go to this shop. I've came in here 3-4 times for oil changes since I've moved to Hendersonville. In and out and never really had issues so I had no complaints, I got what I needed. Came in because I was due for another oil change but this time a mistake happened by one of their employees and the way they handled it was incredibly disappointing. I understand mistakes happen but the way people handle mistakes is what matters to me ESPECIALLY when I'm doing business with you. They did not try to fix my car in a timely manner and my father had to go to a dealership himself to bring them a part they sat on their ass to get. They took advantage of my niceness by putting absolutely no effort it trying to rectify their mistake. I used to go here all the time for convenience, but I'll find somewhere else now. I went in for only an oil and filter change. I was charged $19.99 for a tire rotation, which I opted out of when I dropped off my car and did not receive. And the reason I know my tires were not rotated is because I have wheel locks on them and the key stays in my garage unless I'm on a long trip. I was greeted by a grumpy old man named Jared when I pulled in at 7:50 with a completely flat tire. They were just opening and told me to wait. He was very rude and could have cared less about my flat tire. I waited..but was never told to step inside so they could get information from me or any time frame to fix this. I figured this out after a long line had formed. I mentioned that I needed to get to hospital. He did get my car in and fixed the tire but the customer service he gave me...well I will never come back here again. On the flip side, Starbucks was delightful. When she saw I had a flat tire she gave me my coffee for free and told me to drive to Tire Discount behind us with a merry cheer. I will focus on the later. I hope today that Jared can interact with someone like the lady at Starbucks. Because I failed to reciprocate the spirit I received from the lady at Starbucks. I need to work on that. Besides rude customer service, another concern I had was a young boy put air in my completely flat tire. He said it might get me to hospital. I had to ask if there was a leak which he showed me, AFTER i asked and looked at tire. I could feel it. I asked if I could make it to hospital with the leak like that. He stated "maybe or maybe not. You could have a blow out!" This disturbed me that he put air in tire and then was going to let me leave without any advice or concern for the tire holding air. They wanted to put air in my tire and let me go on my way!! Glad I had the persistence to question if there was a leaked, etc. blow outs in morning rush traffic has potential to cause death! I am posting this because of the last statement. I consider tire health, if you may, very important to the safety of myself and those around me. I wish they had showed alittle concern, or sympathy, for my position. I am sure they get flat tires everyday....but I get sick babies everyday at work. Each one is unique and deserves my best. Dropped car off at 8:30 AM for oil change, tire balance & rotation. Was told two hours to complete, 12:30 I called was told another two hours. At 5:50 PM received a text that my car was ready but they closed at 6:00. The next morning went to get car and the cost had been increased with no explanation until I complained. No way an oil change should cost over $100. The service at this store has slowly declined and I will be looking for a new place to take vehicle. read more

I've been to this location before and not had an issue, but after my most recent visit, I won't be returning. I arrived just prior to the shop opening and waited on site for an oil change. It took THREE HOURS! Had I known it would have been that long, I would have left and not wasted my entire morning waiting for my car. What I find additionally irritating is that the customer in front of me was told it would take 30-45 minutes for her car, yet it took several hours for mine?? NOT okay! When I asked how much longer for my vehicle to be taken in, I was told mine would be next. Well, "next" turned out to be 40 minutes later before someone came to drive it into the garage! The lovely gentlemen at Tire Discounters met me at my car with air, filled my tire up enough for me to drive to their shop, and patched up my tire for me all within 15 minutes. I went to this store as first time ever shopping at tire disc. I received the worst experience ever for a store. I was not told of a sale Michelin was having and they refused to match tire prices with NTB. or discount tire. I asked to speak with the manager that was 10 flawy through the glass but he didn't have time for me and refused. total for tires was going to cost 1134.00. I have price printed this review is about management and not workers, I never got that far. I left the store and was gonna just go back to NTB when I decided to call the other tire discounters told him (JESSE ALLEN) what I needed and he told me of the sale and rebates and set an appointment to fit my schedule and the total was 882.00 that store is on Main Street and I am glad I decided to call them. I would never go back to this store at glen brook way. well over 200.00 in savings. This place is your quintessential dishonest mechanic stereotype. Avoid at all costs. My sister went in for an oil change and they convinced her she needed brakes. Even though she had no problem with her brakes, she got them done. Subsequently, she noticed that there was a grinding sound. She called and spoke with someone who, without even hearing the sound or looking at the vehicle, assured her that it wasn't caused by their service. After a few days, my father and I inspected it and determined it was a metal on metal grind. They agreed to have a look, but wanted to charge $89 for a brake flush. I went in to speak with the guy at the desk, who condescended to me about what a brake flush was and told me the warranty on the brake pads would be voided after they changed the pads if the flush wasn't done. He insisted that this was definitely the problem, still having never seen the vehicle or heard the noise. When my father got involved, he finally backed off and said he would have them take a look. Fast forward 20 minutes, and it turns out that the issue was that they bent the dust shield when they were putting the brakes on. They fixed that and now, all good. The level of arrogance and disrespect we were shown is astounding, and we will not come back. The dark haired, heavyset front desk guy with the large glasses was clearly trying to fleece my sister because of her gender. That kind of sexism is unacceptable and this place should be boycotted until they start following ethical business practices. This is not okay. read more

Fair warning for my Hendersonville friends - Tire Discounters, Glenbrook. Had my first visit there last night. I went in to get a simple plug, they tell me I've got to have a new tire (it could have been patched), $135. Then they tell me I need a new TPMS valve ($75). Then they start making up some crap about brakes. While I was there, I heard them giving the same up-sell bologna about brakes to another guy. It's garbage to work your customers over like that. When are on1-7-19 after visiting the other location in Hendersonville and having the worst experience I've ever had. Luckily the other store on the other side of town gave me the best customer service that I've ever received from a store. Not only did I get good customer service at this store employee also save me a lot of money. I was able to get a new tire for my car and a very great price as well as protection on the other three tires that I had on my car as well for the next 3 years and my car was done super fast. I've been a customer at this location for probably over ten years, since it first opened. I've always had good service there, and purchased four or five sets of tires there over the years. I don't know what has happened but their service has nose-dived recently. One morning I took my daughter's car in for a rotation and Jesse was the only worker on duty. I brought it back another time. Good luck getting an appointment since the phone just rings and rings. Today I had a 10 am appointment for a balance and rotation, and the manager Jay said he would have to do it himself since he was short staffed, would take a couple of hours. I came back at noon, it had not been moved from its parking spot. I went next door and ate lunch, and walked to Kroger and picked up a prescription. When I returned it was still sitting there. I just asked for my keys back and left. I had an appointment so this was ridiculous. I am going to try the Glenbrook location later this week. The service has to be better somewhere else! read more

I put out a quote for a repair through Yelp. Yelp auto sent it to Tire Discounters and a few other places. I didn't think a tire place did repairs, but they messaged me back and we set up a time for them to look at the vehicle. Honestly, I had low expectations for Tire Discounters: I figured they'd be overpriced, would not have great customer service, and I wasn't even sure a tire place could fix my car. They proved me wrong. Lane went above and beyond to find bargains on the parts I needed, and he quoted me the lowest price of all the quotes. He made me feel like he cared about how much I was spending as much as I did. They always called me back when they said they would, they repaired my vehicle in the timeframe they promised, they did quality work, and they charged me what they quoted me. They made it really easy for me to do business with them. I'm relieved to find a good, honest auto repair shop. I'll be going back there next time I need anything done. read more
