I was having issues with my car pulling to the right when I was driving. I took my car to a Nissan dealership hoping that they could assist me with fixing the issue. They told me it was an alignment issue, I paid for an alignment, and it did not fix the issue. They told me that I would need to pay for a diagnostic to find the true cause of the issue. I left the Nissan dealership dissatisfied and went to this Tire Discounters location. Matt set me up with an appointment and was VERY thorough in listening to the issue I had with my car and working to resolve the issue. He had the technician drive my car to get an understanding of what I was taking about and showed me what he was talking about under the chassis of my car. I needed a new set of tires. I left the location with a better understanding of tires and a smooth driving car. It's important to me that my car is well taken care of and that my mechanic is thorough in addressing any issues that I have with my car. Unfortunately, I did not get that from the dealership but I did find that quality and care with Matt at Tire Discounters. I look forward to visiting them for my service needs. read more

We've been taking our vehicles there for over 10 years. We've always been very pleased with the service they provided. It's really funny that only now did I realize why it felt like a family-owned business: it is one! LOL I'm a little embarrassed to realize we had not reviewed them earlier. With three cars, we see them several times a year to have our oil changed, not to mention tire replacements when necessary. Of course, they can do much more than that. Of years back, I know, they replaced a water pump for us. Good folks, excellent service, and clean bathrooms. No, seriously! You cannot underestimate the value of the latter if you choose to hang out for a few hours to use their free wi-fi while your car is being repaired. :-) read more

Absolutely avoid this particular shop at all cost. After patronizing Grismers for years I decided to get a quick front break job for my nissan from TireDiscounter Hillard. Two new calipers, pads, no new slide pins and ABSOLUTELY no grease on the clips and my pads are seized up, rubber boot on caliper destroyed, piston seized after less than 10,000 miles! No excuse for this type of poor work and all for 750.00 dollars!!!! AVOID this place! read more

Took my car in to get 4 new tires put on. In the course of lifting my car they forced a brake system hose loose. No biggie. The problem was that they told me the car came in that way. A blatant lie. I had ZERO brakes now. I spoke to the general manager (Gordon I believe) and he started the convo with a sarcastic remark. GM: "Explain to me what's goin on cuz I don't have a lot of experience with this" Me: "ok I'm gonna need you to get me someone with a lot of experience in this" GM: "well I've been doin this for 25 years" Me: "which one is it?? Do you have experience or not cuz that's not what you said. This isn't a joke. I can't drive my car now" And it just got worse. Spoke to the regional manager who did nothing to help me and again, claimed that I brought the car in that way. I got my wife involved and trust me, NO ONE wants that headache lol long story short, we contacted another location that listened, was polite and professional. They agreed to look at it for free because they understood that I didn't drive my car in there without the ability to stop. They inspected it and even though they could see that I needed brake work (which I knew), they could tell that I didn't drive it with zero brakes and they admitted that the hose most likely popped loose when the Mill Run location lifted it. This kind of thing happens and I would have been fine had they tried to help me. The disrespect I was shown by the mill run location will stay with me forever. But I will continue to go to the second location for any and all work. My brake work isn't going to be cheap and I'm happy to help improve the second locations numbers with my hard earned money. Mill Run, you guys are disgusting for the treatment I received and you guys are borderline criminal for not caring at all that I would have to leave there unsure if I could stop my vehicle due to your error. And oh yeah when I asked for brake fluid since the reservoir was now bone dry after their mess up, they told me they didn't have any. That is a joke. You guys are gross. How you guys have 2.5 stars blows me away. I bet if we were able to give you guys the zero stars you deserve, that rating would be a lot closer to the zero to 1 star rating you deserve. read more

Was at the Target down the street and realized I had a flat. With my hazards on and going about 5mph down Fishinger, I finally made it to TireDiscounters which was the nearest tire place I could find. The guy working the counter seemed nice...I told him what happened - that my tire was quite flat - and asked if it could be patched. He took a look at my tire (which was less than two weeks old) and told me they wouldn't be able to repair it and I needed to buy a new tire. I was quite alarmed since I literally had just purchased this tire from Costco. Knowing nothing about cars, I called my dad who advised me to just get the spare put on and drive to Costco where the tire was initially purchased. Thank god I consulted him, otherwise my ignorant self might have taken this guy at his word and spend a couple hundred on a new tire (that apparently he "knew" was trashed just by looking at it and not even taking it off to see WHY it went flat??? Went to Costco, turns out the tire was completely fine. Like literally in perfect shape since I had just purchased it two weeks earlier. It was some valve (again, forgive my ignorance about cars and maintenance) that needed to be replaced. Costco replaces it for free and I was back on the road. If I would've trusted these guys I would've paid for a brand new tire when I had a perfectly good one on already. I get that weekends are busy, but at least offer to keep the car to try and diagnose the problem before telling me I definitely need a new tire right off the bat. Ugh, if there's one thing I can't stand, it's specialty vendors (like car places) that try to take advantage of people with limited knowledge about that particular subject. read more

This is an awesome service location to get all your car needs DONE! We brought in my car at around noon on a Monday and had it back before 3pm! Quick, efficient, and within a good price range, they offered exactly what I needed and at a decent price! I was able to get the oil changed and tires replaced without much hassle! These guys have to upsell a bit, its the nature of the beast, but they are doing it from a good place. They do seem to have your safety at heart as well. The price was comparable, maybe a bit more expensive than some other places, but the quality is worth the money. They took good care of everything, my car works perfectly again, and it drives beautifully! We will be back for any further tire needs! read more

This place is a joke. I bought a set of tires here and recently starting getting my sensor light to come on. Instead of driving around on a low tire, I would stop and put air in my tires every other day. I called to get my vehicle in and they said it was a 2 hour wait just to be seen. So I made an appointment for the next day. I showed up and they didn't have an appointment for me. I was told I probably called the wrong place. I verified the number I called and it was indeed their location. However, they did get my vehicle in right away. When asked which tire I had a problem with, I told them I didn't know, I just put air in all of them and if they could check them all. They checked all my tires and said none of them was low. I told them of course they aren't low, I put air in them everyday before I leave the house. Was then told there's nothing they could do since none were low. In stead of checking to see if they could see something in my tire they turned me away and told me not to put air in my tire and bring it back flat so they knew which one to fit. Horrible customer service. Taking short cuts instead of taking care of customers. Going else where from here on out. Lost a customer for sure!! read more

Tire went flat. I have a warranty. Accidentally went to their competitor up the street--Discount Tires--they immediately sprung into action to help me. I decided to go ahead to the correct place. Got the complete opposite reaction. Was told I'd have to wait around several hours--mind you this was a slow Monday. Anyhow, I had a funeral to attend out of town, so I couldn't wait. My warranty is up in November. I'll prob need a new set of tires next year. I'll never return to this company again. The representative, John, was exceptionally rude and sexist to me. Initially, my husband and I were told that it would only take 1hr to have the tire replace and an alignment done. After it had been 1hr 40min, I asked how long until my car was done. My question was met with hostile sexism from John. He only spoke to my husband (I was the one who asked!)and said that he has "no way of knowing the how long wait times are" and that I "shouldn't have come in if I didn't have time to wait" He treated me as an inconvenience. Furthermore, John demanded that "you need to make a decision quick. If you want the alignment done or just leave" when I needed to know how much longer the alignment would take. I tried to explain why I needed to know how much longer (it had already been 1hr 40min.) Since we were assured that it would only be an hour. I only asked once. The alignment was not done properly and will need done again. On January 29th I was contacted by Adam who claimed that this is "is the first time that John has ever received a complaint." He barely listened to anything that I had to say, down playing my experience the entire time. Before we hung up, Adam promised me that he would "try to validate my claim" and would contact me "later" with a resolution/compensation for my experience. As of 2/9/15 Adam has yet to contact me with any results of his "investigation" or even offer anything in the way of compensation for my experience. I'll be using Discount Tires from now on. They treat me like a person and apologize if they make a mistake or if it takes longer than expected. read more

Don't waste your time! Called and made an appointment a week and a half ago, ordered four 20 inch Toyo tires. Went into the store for my 8:00 am appointment and was told that they gave my tires away the day before. I took a day off from work and now have to wait until this afternoon to wait for 4 more tires to come from the warehouse and was only offered a $60 discount which is not enough in my opinion for my trouble. read more

We got a flat about a half mile from this location and drove there. They did take care of the problem but quoted us 99.40. When we got our cc statement, they charged us almost $200!!! We called them to let them know about the "mistake" and nobody suddenly could help us. Finally l, a few days after calling, we spoke with a manager and he said it was clear the quote was an oversight , and that 99.40 was too low to replace the one tire, even tho two people gave us the total. Tire Discounters - Tires Near Me - Hilliard, Ohio

I have a fleet account here. I've taken a total of 4 different vehicles in over the last 3 months. One of them, twice. Anyway, after the last one, I've decided to search elsewhere since I've had some issues with 3 of the 4 vehicles. Would still use them for very basic things since they are close and are at least friendly. Issues: 1. Sprinter van for an oil change. I've had this van for a couple of years, always starts. I take it in for an oil change and the next morning after picking it up, it won't start. Very sluggish. Continued to have problems through out the month. So, I had the oil changed again because I couldn't figure out the problem and I never had a problem before the prior oil change. Since the change, it runs and starts great. I think the wrong oil was used and I was very disappointed that they don't check other fluids or top them off. 2. Ford box truck: Truck was having starting issues and the battery gauge was showing 18+, which usually means a bad alternator. When I took it in, I told them the lines to the battery were also bad and that the rear lights were not coming on. $900 when I picked it up, it did need a new alternator and some other things. I wasn't happy that there was a diagnostic fee of $85. Typically, if you get the work done at the garage doing the diagnosis, then the fee is waive. Then, I get it back to the building and the next morning, it doesn't start. Instead of changing the lines to the battery, they only changed the ends, you still have to wiggle the lines to get a good connection. The truck, will lose connection and die on the road, just like it was doing before. AND, a tail light was out on the back which they had to of known since I specifically stated that the rear lights weren't working. Basically, all that was fixed was the alternator (gauge reads normal now) and a new belt. 3. International CF500 - 1st time. Just had an oil change done. When I picked it up, Gordon told me the fuel filter needs replaced. I mean I'm there to pick it up... kind of late to tell me this. They have my number, but no one calls during the oil change to suggest changing the fuel filter? So, about 3 weeks later, the truck starts loosing power. I take it in and they change the fuel filter and tell me the lines are really bad filled with rust. Picked the truck up today and get on the road and it is actually even worse. Had to take it back to the building and park it. Obviously, they never even tested or drove it to see if changing the filter fixed the issue. AND, they had the truck for 2 weeks... they forgot to call. Gordon did mention that the glow plugs may need changed, but it is too complicated for them to do, but from what Ive heard from other garages and google, glow plugs have nothing to do with loosing power. He also stated there was still some rust in the lines or tank. Seems like excuses were used to not fix the truck. 4. Change a tire on a box truck. No issues for this. I realize most garages are horrible. All I can say for this one is that they are friendly and I love the website chat so that you can set up your appointment with ease. Other than that, they don't really fix the issues with the vehicles. My International still has no power, my ford still won't start right and dies on the road. After spending over 2k here, I'm disappointed. I did 2 stars instead of 1 because Mary and Gordon are at least friendly. read more

Had a preinspection done on vehicle as result of prevoius scamming to add additional work. Same results again, nearly $500 of additional unwarrented or needed work was proposed. I advised no and took results to certified GM mechanic who completed pre inspection and was advised none of proposed work was needed. Hhmmm what to do...?? read more

I visit discount tire 2 weeks ago for a regular oil change. I usually take my car to the dealer but because this location was just a mile away I took my car there. I already knew I needed new tires in the front. The guy at the front counter went out to look at my tires. He told me I needed two new tires in the front. I purchase the tires plus the oils change. Fine I had no problems. The following day I started my car and it was making a buzzing sound. I rarely drive my car because I use my company car for work. I open the hood I check the belts because in my pass experience I had cars with fan belt issues. I check the power steering fluid and place the cap back on secure and tight. I called DT and they told me to bring the car in the morning. The next day I took the car in. Spoke with the same guy Alexander at the front desk. I'm assuming he is the one to try to Sale to every customer. Well they are a rip off. They do things to your car to get money. They place some oil substances around the cap of my power steering fluid and told me there was leakage. They said I needed a power steering pump and some belts plus some holes replacement. Total cost $847. A rip off. I took my car to another shop only to find out it was the belt. They will try to get every woman that walks through the door. They tried to charge me $179 bucks for a power steering pump that coast $79 bucks at Auto Zone where they ordered it from. Plus the high labor fee of $400 bucks. Alexandra is a con beware of him. I asked can I go get my own part he said they will increase the labor. Lol Why? People please only go there if you are sure you need new tires do not let them get up under your hood. They are making damages to cars to have you come back and spend more money. Rip off beware of the young white guy at the front desk he is the one that will hike the prices. read more

Absolutely do not go here unless you want someone to rush through looking at your car and miss big issues. I was having issues with my car and specifically asked for my wheel bearing to get checked. I was told they were completely fine that I needed a new tire. I bought a new tire and it didn't fix the issue. Three weeks later I go to a different auto shop and am told my wheel bearing absolutely needs replaced. I can't believe something so simple that I asked to be looked at for my safety and my car was overlooked. I will not be coming back and no longer trust them read more

Went in to get a quote on rims and tires. Their quote for rims alone was more than I paid for rims and tires from discount tire. Got an appointment at 10 o'clock in the morning to get my transmission fluid changed had to take an Uber home waited six hours they call me at 4 o'clock in the afternoon to tell me that they cannot change my transmission fluid and that it can only be done by the dealership of the auto manufacture so they wasted my whole day on top of that I had to take an Uber back there to go pick up my car you would think that they know which cars they can do a transmission fluid change and not....do not recommend read more

This had been an out standings business and service was always impeccable, but I don't know what happened. I visited it twice today about tire repair or replacement and was treated total distain. My second visit I had to beg for someone to look at the tire and even see if it could be repaired. I'm so disappointed in the attitude of the appeared to be manager that they have lost my business. My husband dropped our car off on Saturday. They were supposed to rotate the tires and change the oil. We waited at the nearby Starbucks for about an hour (give or take a few). Someone from Tire Discounters called my husband's cell phone to tell him that our car was extremely low on oil, and what was in there was total sludge. (Our car has been running perfectly). My husband told the guy on the phone not to lay a finger on our car and walked over to pick up the car. The guy he talked to recommended a certain garage that could fix the car for us. Unfortunately, my husband doesn't remember the name of the garage. After he got the car and picked me up, we went to a nearby gas station. My husband checked the oil, and it was a little low, and it wasn't sludge. He put some oil in the car and we came home. The car is still running absolutely perfectly. He's checked the oil several times since Saturday, and there's never been a problem. He's going to get the oil changed on Wed. somewhere else. (We live in an apartment complex that doesn't let us work on cars in the parking lot). He didn't think to ask if they rotated the tires, so we'll get that checked somewhere else over the weekend. I gave them 2 stars because we've been going to this location for years with very few problems (usually really long wait times). After this past weekend (and after seeing similar reviews), we won't go back. read more

Was there 12/8 for an oil change and tire rotation. The visit took a little over 2 hours. I have been in and out before in less than 1 hour. Also was told my car took a special filter and more than the standard amount of oil. I have had this car for 9 years since new and no one has ever charged me more for the Filter and additional oil. This place is the worst. If you don't let them give you their supposed free alignment which is actually built into the price they will not warranty your tires even though they're supposed to be covered under road hazard and/or manufacturer warranty. Three times now I've scheduled appointments with these people to repair leaks and or get rotation and balance done and there is always a three to four hour wait because they typically only have one person working at the location and they are backlogged with cars. There's always an excuse why they can't do it but I'm finally done dealing with this place. I'm taking my vehicle over to discount tire to get the proper servicing done on the tires until they wear out and then we'll start purchasing from discount tire from here on out. The person working at the location I stopped at today was extremely rude and told me I didn't have an appointment. This seems to be their m.o. on not wanting to back up their product. read more

The service rep apologized for the other location and said they'd get working on my car ASAP. Car was completed slightly after the quoted time, but again the service rep apologized for the delay. Out with my 7 year old granddaughter and picked up a big nail neat this tire store. Thinking I was lucky it happened here I went in and told them my problem and was quickly told it would be hours before they could plug my tire. Im 69 years old and im laying under my car in their lot wrestling to get the spare out. It took me an hour or so to change it. They could care less.They might pretend to value you before you buy but good luck if you need some help like I did. read more

Back in December, I had an "emergency" issue where I needed to get tires due to hitting something on the road. That experience and the follow-up free tire rotation were very well handled. I called and made an appointment to have my tires rotated again and have the brakes checked due to a noise. I asked when I made the appointment approximately how long the appointment would take as I had to pick up my daughter at a specific time. I was told, even if brake work was required, it would take 2 hours, so I made an appointment. When I got to the location, I asked about having my oil changed too and we agreed to move forward with the OC. I wasn't out of the store 30 mins before I was called and told that by adding the oil change it would take until 04:30p (my appointment was at 10:30, and I had the car dropped off NLT 09:30a) Long story short, my wife had to juggle her schedule to get my daughter and my car was picked up at 04:20p. I think the biggest problem here was setting proper time expectations. I may have been able to appropriate arrangments or scheduled another date/time had I given a reasonable time. The lesson here... Leave yourself more time than you expect because even with an appointment, it's likely to take you a while. read more

If I could rate this store a 0 star I would! I took my truck (2003 dodge dakota) in for a tire rotation & balance and a front end alignment. I was telephoned early the next morning and the front desk clerk (Gordon) was telling me that they were having a hard time releasing my parking brake and the truck wouldn't move. I told them the brake shouldn't even be set (it's an automatic) and asked why wouldn't my truck move and what are they doing. He said they would keep trying and call me back (I had to get off the phone, I was at work). At 2 o'clock I was phoned (by Gordon) telling me that they couldn't align my truck because the adjustment bolts were seized up and they couldn't break them free. Now here's where it gets good...I show up to pick up my truck and Gordon says sorry blah blah blah, we're not going to charge you the full amount because we couldn't do anything...your total is $49.99. So I ask to have the technician show me what bolts he couldn't break free because 2 days prior I put brand new upper control arms on my truck and broke every nut & bolt loose myself with hand tools. So as the tech and I are walking to my truck he tells me that he doesn't even work at this store (fishinger blvd) and he's only supposed to be there filling in for the normal tech (who was on vacation) and doing oil changes and he had no tools to even do my alignment. So at that point I had heard enough, I go back in and Gordon says "did he show you" and my reply was no, he told me that he has no tools to even do my alignment. Now in his baffled state I ask about my parking brake and how he got it unstuck to which Gordons reply was "they pulled the brake cable from underneath the truck", I looked at him in disbelief and said the cable hanging down from my truck and he said yes that one...to which I had to inform him that THAT WAS AN EXTENSION CORD HOOKED TO MY BATTERY AND ZIPPED TIED TO THE FRAME RUNNING INTO THE BED OF MY TRUCK AND COULD NO WAY BE THE CABLE FOR THE PARKING BRAKE!!! At this point Gordon knew he was caught in his lies and asked how I was going to pay to which I said pay for what!? He quickly said never mind we won't charge you for anything and to have a nice day. I asked for the district managers number to which Gordon said I'll have him call you. I said thank you, goodbye. I will NEVER take any vehicle I own there for the rest of my life and will stear everyone I know away from this place! Gordon Tanner is a disrespectful, LIAR and his knowledge about vehicles and customer service is severly lacking in skills. read more

If I could rate this place ZERO for technical know-how, I would. The counter customer service was good, however they didn't listen to me when I said that you cannot perform an alignment without replacing the camber nuts in the back and bolts in the front (2012 GMC Terrain) They did it anyway and caused my vehicle to pull to the left. Another trip and I was told that the steering sensors needed reset. It still pulled to the left. I decided to go to the Reynoldsburg TD because it is close to my office, they found some things bent in the rear that they had to fix and they properly replaced the correct nuts and bolts to perform the proper alignment to stop my vehicle from pulling to the left. Prior to the new tires being installed my vehicle only needed a camber adjustment due to wearing on the outer tread. Be careful at this place if you have a newer vehicle and realize that the manufacturer of your car may have special bulletins in place to perform alignments properly. read more

I Had to have my daughters car towed to the store, was gretted in a professional manor.. I advise the sales person that we just got the car and it would not start... I also advised that it needed tie rods and a ball joint, to please do a safety inspection... I received a call the next day, the car was fixed... I was also told that it did NOT need tie rods or a ball joint, that his master tech shook the car down, but the car needed motor mounts... Now that I having conflicting info, I took it for another oppinion, I am glad I did... When I dropped the car off, I asked for a safety a safety inspection and to check the motor mounts.. This tech came back and said that the motor mounts were fine ( I knew this), he also said that the inner, outer and ball joint on one side were dangerously loose, I was also advised that the rear brakes needed changed... The tech even took me and showed me what he was talking about... Even though I am female, I do know my way around a car.. I will never take any of my cars to the Fishinger road location again! read more
