He did a lot of work on our cars. But the young punk that replaced him is a rude idiot. He even said to me when I was waiting to be acknowledged said to me, I'll be with you soon as I finish with this old man. He said that outside while I saw an older gentleman in the lobby. Did a nice job of wrapping the originals and putting in SUV for me. So I'll start with saying this, I am ultimately responsible for not checking on the conditions of my tires. I truly cannot blame anyone but myself. BUT, you'd think after taking my car in twice in 2 weeks, someone there would have the common courtesy to tell me that the wires were exposed on my tire. I took my car in to have the tires rotated and balanced because my car was vibrating at high speeds. When I went to pick it up, they said their computers were down so there's no charge..awesome! Great customer service. After I leave, the steering wheel is no longer shaking, I am very happy. I get on the highway and the shaking is still there. I go in a few days later to have them look at it again. 15 minutes later they give me my keys back "one tire was out of balance", awesome! Thank you. I quickly realize nothing was changed, still vibrating and it's actually gotten worse. I get off work the next day to see my tire is completely flat. I limp to the Kroger next door to put air in it and discover the exposed wires and very loud air escaping from the area. Had they mentioned how trash my tire was and how potentially dangerous the situation could have been, I would've bought a tire from them on the spot. Like I said I should be checking the condition of my tires but I would expect professionals to communicate serious matters such as this one. Is 0 stars an option? My car was at this location for over a week after my battery and alternator needed replacing. Originally, I was told it was just a battery and spent $400(!!!!!) to get it fixed. Regretfully, this did not fix the problem and I had to get my car towed back to the shop to have it looked at again where they told me it was an alternator, and they should've fixed that the first time. This is on Friday. After calling on Friday, the manager, AJ, *guaranteed* me that my car would be ready for pick up by Monday. On Monday, I called again and told they were working on my car and that it would ready on Tuesday. On Tuesday, I called again and was told it wouldn't be ready until Thursday now. This had me fed up and I contacted the district manager, who basically told me it takes as long as it takes and they can't get a new technician on the car because only one person is allowed to work on each job. On Thursday, I called at about 3pm and was told the car would be ready at the end of the day. The website says that they close at 7pm, so I took a 40-dollar Lyft to the store from my apartment at around 6:15 and when I arrived they were closed at 6. Not only that, but I found my car unlocked and unattended in the parking lot with a part sitting under the car and the hood popped with tools still in my engine bay. I was finally able to get the car back on Friday as they charged me $600 with a measly $80 discount to bring my total for two parts to a whopping $1,000. Overall, the service and expertise at this TireChoice was dreadful. If it had been correctly diagnosed and fixed the first time, none of this would have a happened. .5/10 The customer service was also dreadful. I was repeatedly told false deadlines and given guarantees that they could not keep. The communication was dodgy at best and there were days where I had to call 6 times to get an answer. 0/10 My experience at this store was horrible, but it doesn't mean it will be for others. I am only 22 but this is easily the single most difficult experience of my life and if I were you I would avoid this store at all costs. read more

I've never been there, my car is making noises, I don't have a ton of cash, and, by the way, I only have a couple of hours before I have to pick up my son from school!" I'm happy to say that the gentleman I worked with, Mr. Frank Guinta, was calm and professional enough for the both of us. Just a few things that made this a five+++++ star visit: I.) Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and polite service in a welcoming environment II.) Mr. Guinta took the time to really explain what was going on (neither just passive aggressively attempting to make things sound overly big and complicated nor talking down, both tactics I've seen many times from people trying to extract as much $$ as possible. I actually left understanding the system in question much, much better than I had, rather than leaving with my head-spinning in confusion (as had been my experience at some shops) III.) He took both my time and financial concerns into account and I truly believe did everything in his power to help me out on both counts. Warning! Worst experience I've ever had at a 'repair shop'. To start, Cody D was extremely unprofessional while speaking with other customers while I was attempting to have a flat tire repaired. Against my better judgment and out of necessity I decided to continue to wait in line. I'll skip the next few snafus and move on to the horrifying experience of driving home after picking up my car the next day. I purchased two new front tires and an alignment. $473 later, while driving home my car began making a noise it hadn't prior to dropping it off. Feeling like I couldn't make it home to Clintonville I got off 315 at Bethel and took my car to a more reputable repair shop. That's when I paid to find out that 6 lug nuts were loose and I was about to lose my left front tire! Hopefully this is a rare scenario, but what happened that day endangered my life as well as many others. Okay, yes scary and upsetting. Now on to how I have to write a review to hopefully get a person to call me back! After speaking with Christina L, emailing my invoice for being diagnosed and having another car repair shop correcting their mistake, leaving multiple messages and being told by another representative that my case was transferred to a Claims Department (does it even exist?! I wouldn't know), and leaving more messages, here I am. Leaving reviews anywhere I can to get someone to call me. I work in customer service and have my entire life. I fail to see why so many people left a 5-star reviews, as the overall experience I had here was subpar. The reason for my visit to Tire Choice Auto Service Center was for a brake concern. The brakes on my vehicle was making noises that raised my concern, so I decided to take a chance on a small local repair shop that was fairly rated on most social media platforms. Day 1 The original concern was "Customer states to check parking brake," but the service writer failed to accurately capture this concern as he only wrote down: "Customer states to check brakes." This was obvious since all the technician did was a visual inspection on the brakes. And returned to the waiting room, telling me: "Your brakes look fine." So, after re-instating my original concern, the technician finally decided to remove the wheels and do an ACTUAL parking brake inspection. By this time, we had figured out that the friction material on the parking shoes had simply fell off the backing plate (not good). At the same time, Tire Choice Auto Service Center also noticed the left rear caliper was leaking brake fluid. This is something that would not been noticed if I had not requested for a REAL brake inspection. Being a smaller shop, the service writer told me that they do not have the parts onsite, so they would need to order the parts and it would arrive the following day. Thus, we made an appointment for first thing tomorrow morning to get my vehicle fixed. But when the vehicle was returned back to me, I noticed that the technician lacked the common curtesy to wash his hands or even to put on some gloves before stepping into my vehicle, as the steering wheel was covered in dirt and grease from the brake inspection. Day 2 On day 2 it was a different service writer at the counter. I walked in and told him that I was here to get my brakes fixed and I have an appointment. He asked for my name and proceeded to search me up on his computer. Then moments later, he left the room without any notice and started calling someone on his cell phone. To me this is a universal sign for "We forgot to the book the customer down for an appointment." Regardless, the now newly notified service writer returned to our conversation and asked for my car key. At this point, it was me and another gentleman in the waiting room. But after several minutes, I notice that my vehicle has not been touched yet while the other gentlemen's vehicle is already being serviced. So, I ask the service writer why my vehicle is still sitting in the parking lot, he replied and explained that me that the other gentlemen arrived first, and I was second. So now knowing this fact, I'm wondering why I had made the appointment in the first place, since it seems like they forgot to set my appointment in the first place and level of priority does not matter if you have an appointment or not. Setting appointment scheduling aside, I must put this fault on the service writer himself, as he should of have disclosed this information and set the expectation before I handed him the car key. Now fully disappointed with the overall service experience, I decided to leave the vehicle and come back later once the service is complete. A few hours later, I decided to call the shop and ask for an ETA. The service writer who is now working on my vehicle explained to me that they are shorthanded and he himself must work on my vehicle. This was not an issue to me as I can understand this is poor management and he was not responsible for any of the staffing, but the part I was disappointed on was the communication. The overall communication quality of the shop was just poor along with their terrible customer service skills (if any) was just bad. The service advisor told me that he was going to get my vehicle finished within today's time but had no ETA of when it will be finished. Right after that comment, he proceeded to hang up before I could reply. 3 hours later, the vehicle is finally finished but even after going through all this. Guess what, the steering wheel is dirty again from all the work done on the car. Overall, the customer experience and service that was conducted at Tire Choice Auto Service Center was a solid D minus. Just barely enough to pass for me, the job requested was done to a minimum and the quality of workmanship was also terrible as some of the brake hardware was installed backwards and the technician didn't even bother to adjust the parking brake cable after he installed the brake shoes. Lastly, PLEASE wash your hands or put on some gloves after you are done working on a customer vehicle. read more

I'd been struggling with leaky tires on my Highlander for YEARS. I'd have to put air in my tires at least once a month. When I'd take the car in to get it fixed, the sexist mechanics always condescendingly explained to me that "you know, sometimes you have to put air in the tires when the weather changes." YES I KNOW THAT. But I shouldn't have to put air in my tires as often as I was. The team at Tire Choice finally fixed my problem! They discovered a hairline crack in one of my wheels and fixed corrosion on the others (corrosion that the other mechanics had claimed to fix but didn't). After having my brakes done there. They continued to squeak. After taking it in as gain they said something was wrong with the caliper. Why wasn't that discussed when the breaks were off and they want another $400!! I took it in for an oil change and when I left the fan was making a crazy noise. I promptly brought it back as well they did not reset the computer that stated that I needed and oil change and for that noise. Frank the manager looked at it and basically said I was crazy! I also told them that they did not reset computer and he said oh that will go away. They said the noise was coming from the fan and they were nowhere near that Of course they were it was in front of the oil and dipstick. Jump ahead a few months just got oil changed there again and exactly the same thing happened with the fan!! EXACT SAME THING!! Coinsidence I think not! They said we can fix it for you for around $400! Again Frank acted like I was crazy. I have grown up around cars and I am not stupid! Needless to say I will not come back to them ever again! In my opinion, Monro Dublin deserves 4.8 stars. I really appreciate the ability to schedule services online. I was even able to schedule an oil change within two hours of accessing the website. Not only that, but I received a call from the shop to confirm my appointment. 5 stars on ease of scheduling. The only critique I have is that my oil change took over an hour; much longer than other establishments I have visited. However, I did have a coupon that offered free tire rotation, break check, etc., so I'm sure that added minutes to the standard oil change. 4.5 stars for service. Customer service was outstanding. Mike, the store manager, was extremely friendly and professional. He even took the time to show me the extreme wear on two of my tires and explained what could have led to the wear. He suggested I put on two new tires, but did not make a sales pitch to me to purchase from Monro. I appreciated his service, and will most likely purchase the tires from this location because of this. 5 stars for customer service. Heads up: If using a coupon, make sure to read the fine print to understand the terms and conditions. read more

I recently had a construction nail in my tire. The guys at Monro Muffler in Dublin were so helpful. They were able to answer all my questions and even asked for a picture of the nail to make sure I could drive on it. Because I was in Marysville they suggested I have the tire replaced there to ensure safety. I ended up having a terrible experience at the tire discounter in Marysville. Once I received my car the tire pressure light was still on! After $200.... I immediately called Monro Muffler and they were able to fix the problem and realign the tires free of charge. TERRIBLE!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! Tuesday, 1/21/2014. Had a coupon for $19.99 oil change and was told that I could upgrade because it "was included on the coupon" so I agreed. After service was provided and I was paying, the price jumped to $36.99! I asked what the difference was for and was told that it was for the upgraded oil. I told him that I thought he told me it was included in the coupon. He said, it was, but it was $17 more for the upgrade. Uhhmmmm, then it wasn't "included". He never told me there was a price difference, and I didn't ask because I guess I should have known. I told him that he should have told me, and he said it was clearly labeled on the coupon. I said I felt scammed and he shrugged his shoulders. WHAT?!! Are you kidding me?! I feel taken. I even told him that he could have easily made sure I knew it would cost more, and he didn't care to... because that really was the point (to take my money and double the price of the service) And it was validated by his lack of concern and shoulder shrugging. And I may have upgraded anyway if he just explained that a car with my mileage would really benefit from this or showed just a little bit that he was concerned that I, the customer, felt scammed and taken by what had happened and this review wouldn't have been written. And actually it wouldn't have been written or thought about again until a few days later... To make matters worse, my windshield wiper fluid ran out 3 days later on the highway! After a $40 oil change, who doesn't top off fluids??? Well Monro doesn't. I called after making my way to a gas station, paying $3.75 for fluid, and completing it myself in the bitter cold, and asked if they refill fluids with an oil change. My answer from Josh was "only with an upgraded oil change" WOW! I was scammed into getting an upgrade and then didn't even get full service!!!!!! Josh said maybe on my drive to Cleveland I had used all the windshield fluid. Seriously that comment offended me, especially after what had already happened. Wow. Wow. Wow! I told him when I filled it, it took the entire bottle. He said they will only top off up to a gallon... Well excuse after lame excuse. At least he offered to top off my fluids after this stuff runs out. He showed a tad more concern then the other guy, which doesn't say much because he did say I used it all before offering the top off. Overall, what a joke. Obviously I will never be going back. This morning, I looked today on my receipt from Tuesday, and the guy who rang me out, who shrugged his shoulders when I questioned the $37.00 charge, was none other then Michael Harvey Sr, the manager of the store. And that is why I am letting you all know. DO NOT COME HERE!!! There are too many places out there, some with great customer service, places where they DO tell you the truth and can sell you upgrades honestly informing you of the benefits and price!!!! I brought my truck in for the front wheel bearings to be replaced since I was having issues. They did a good job of fixing the problem, but their labor rate was ridiculous. They worked on my truck for 2 hours and charged me $374 in labor. Normally I bring my truck to a small nearby shop, but they are closed on weekends and this work needed done before the following week. Otherwise I never would have gone here to begin with. read more

Waste of my day for a simple fix! I made an appointment at noon for a simple tire plug repair. I arrived at 12:02 and nearly 2 hours later, I had not received a call that the car was finished. I spoke with the manager who stated they had yet to start on my tire because they were "overbooked". Ultimately, my tire was not repaired until 3:49!! Nearly 4 hours for a tire plug!!!!! On 1/24 I took my car for the oil change bundle. I dropped off my car at noon, and I got it back only at 6pm - the closing time. I asked Mike for brake report - he said brakes look good. Then i asked for a print, so he simply took a card and wrote 7 for all brakes pads. I am sure my brakes are not more than 4 - they have been in caution range last 3 oil change. Also the fluid top off was not done, I checked - windshield fluid was empty. I am pretty confident that the tires were not rotated either. I called and asked how much a new starter would cost and was told that if it was the starter it would be around 300-350. I figured that that sounded right because starters run about $150. The next day I received a phone call and was told it would be $450. OUCH! I asked what happened to the first quote and was told that was just for the starter. ( I later checked and a starter for my car runs between $130 and $170). I voiced my displeasure with getting jacked around but that was a mistake because when my wife went in to pick up the car it was $470. The manager was not there at the time and they told her that he would gives us a call. Still waiting. When the manager asks how he can earn your business, tell him by not giving you the shaft. From the minute we walked in the door he was rude and arrogant. I have been a loyal customer with Monro for years bringing my car there for any repairs needed. After making making mistakes, Josh, never once apologized but instead blamed me, the customer, for his multiple mistakes making me pay for something i didn't ask for.
