On January 20th I took my sports car to Tire Discounters to have a flat tire repaired. After a thorough inspection I was told that the tire had been damaged by a three inch screw in the sidewall and could not be repaired. Also that it is recommended that all four tires be replaced since I drive a high performance vehicle. I was given a quote and informed that the tires would have to be ordered. The manager, Eric said that the car would be ready the next day. At 5:30pm on the 21st (the next day) I had not yet received a text or phone call stating that my car was ready. I called Tire Discounters and I was told that the technician was having difficulties mounting the low profile tires, but that the car would be ready that evening. When we arrived it was raining and the technician was "trying to clean my car up" according to Eric. It was very dark in the parking lot so it was impossible to determine what was being "cleaned up". I paid $2,997 for four low profile tires, installation and balancing. Because we had an out of town engagement we left the next morning without inspecting the car. When we arrived at home four days later and pulled the car out of the garage we found that it had mustard yellow "mounting paste" all over the driver side door, window, door handle, front quarter panel, rear quarter panel and driver's window. When I opened the door there was the same mustard yellow putty on the leather seats, the steering wheel, the console and the hand stitched leather dash board on the driver's side. I was furious. I immediately washed my car. Note: the car sits four inches off the ground and cannot be run through an automated car wash. Simple car wash detergent would not remove the putty. I washed the car again. In total I had to wash the car four times and pay to have it detailed before I got all of the putty off. I called Tire Discounters to speak to Eric and was told that he was with a customer. He did not return my call. Upon finalizing my bill for the tires, I was given a certificate for $109 off an oil change. Today (3/20) I drove to Tire Discounters to schedule said oil change and give Eric a piece of my mind. When I walked in he was at the counter with another customer, they both had their backs to the door. My arrival was not acknowledged. Two other customers arrived. They too were not acknowledged. The customer at the counter got upset and began to sob. He then took out his phone and started showing Eric photos of a pretty, young bride on her wedding day. The man cried harder. At that point I had been waiting 20 minutes. I walked out and drove home. I am not heartless or calloused, there is a time and place for everything. , There are too many places in Huntsville to get your oil changed; to have to wait for personal drama to unfold. As I drove past the front door, Eric and the distraught man came out of the showroom and walked to the north side of the building. As far as I know the other waiting customers could still be standing there. One of the other oil change shops will get my business. read more

They apparently didn't hear me say "new tire" not "tire plug" so I have to go back. Only negative. They're very friendly and professional here. The mechanics in The bay are actually working. The managers are knowledgeable and can answer those pressing, stressing car questions. I saw nothing but acceptance here. Everyone was treated fairly at this location. I was taken care of immediately. Try to call in ahead when you're going, makes it easier. Job well done on my vehicle. I trust them more than other shops. I believe if had taken my vehicle here for a fix that could've been done I. Less than 2 hours, I would have saved $1500 from freaking Firestone! read more

I've been a loyal customer for years, bringing in four different vehicles for everything from oil changes and tire rotations to full tire purchases. But over time, I've experienced repeated issues that have eroded my trust in your service. The first red flag was when I purchased a second full set of tires, only to be told later that the purchase couldn't be found in your system. I had to dig up a bank statement just to prove it. Then came the problems with my customer records--my last name was misspelled in your system, and one of my vehicles was assigned a different account number altogether. This constantly caused confusion at the front desk and wasted my time during each visit. But this last experience sealed the deal. I brought in my 2025 vehicle, which has less than 7,100 miles on it--and somehow, your team entered the mileage as over 51,500. When I questioned it, I was told it was a Carfax issue--yet the Carfax report handed to me was completely blank. The employee I spoke with over the phone repeatedly gave me incorrect information about my mileage, even though he claimed to have it in front of him. I came in the next morning to get it fixed, only to be told he didn't know how to make the correction and had to call someone else over. When I finally received the updated paperwork, I noticed another error: my vehicle was listed as a blue Honda truck--when it's actually a black SUV. This is beyond frustrating. I care about having accurate, well-maintained records for something as important as my vehicles--and I no longer trust you to handle that responsibility. I'm disappointed in the repeated mistakes and the lack of attention to detail. I'm sorry, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere moving forward. read more

Professional and very attentive to details. I go out of my way to go here because of the quality of service and friendliness of the staff. Right next to Cracker Barrel so if you want to wait on a tire rotation you can walk in and look at the shop but don't order food because that Cracker Barrel has a terrible staff. read more

I made an appointment here to check my tires for a slow leak since the TPMS light came on. They told me it was just low air. However, as soon as I was driving for a little while the light came back on. I don't think they actually checked for a leak. Now I have to go to another tire place because I don't trust these folks. read more

I have had my cars serviced at the south parkway store for a few years. I have also purchased sets of tires there. Today I had an emergency tire pressure light go on and found a tire quickly going flat. I drove in without an appointment and when I explained the problem to Jon (sales manager), he amiably told my wife and me to come in and grab a water or cup of coffee and he'd take care of it. Well Jon squeezed me in and we were on our way with a repaired tire in less than an hour! Even though this is part of a nationwide chain, the store operates with the personal attention of the old neighborhood service station. Hats off to Jon and the tire technicians. I have a 2015 Audi, finding some place other than the dealer to get it serviced is difficult. I decided to try Tire Discounters only because I needed my tires checked. Turns out it was a great decision. They were very fast and efficient. The mechanic took the time to explain why it was difficult to find places to change oil on Audi's, BMW's etc....turns out the Audi doesn't have a dipstick, who knew Their prices were reasonable. I also want to give a shout out to them for helping my friend avoid a huge repair bill, that's her story to tell...but they were very kind and caring. read more

We live in a time where you don't have to wait over an hour to get an oil change. My appointment was at 4pm. 4:30 my car still had not been taken back. The front desk guy said they are not set up like the people across the street and it would take over an hour once they got my car back. I got 4 new tires, alignment, and synthetic oil change. The tires look great, and the alignment was free with my 4 tire installation which is nice. It was quick and easy to book an appointment, and my car was ready in under 2 hours. All in all great service. They did call and tell me I needed a list of things repaired/replaced to which I requested a print out. When I go to my regular mechanic, I'll have them check it out and see if I get the same feedback. If not, I'll update my review to reflect them trying to upsell me on repairs that weren't necessary. read more

Primarily went in for routine maintenance, an oil change, rotate and balance and alignment check and adjustment. One of my brakes had been squeaking badly and they technician went the extra mile to find it and fix it. Had been dealing with it for about 10K miles! Really appreciate the attention. read more

Went in person and set up an appointment. I had new tires installed on a Saturday. Great job, great price and very professional. So then I decided to get an oil change on my other car, it was Sunday so I went on-line to set up an appointment for the coming week. What a nightmare! After getting 4 emails which needed a called back to "verify" the appointment I got a machine and was told to leave a message. Eventually I finally got through to central dispatch. They asked for my store which I gave them, but they could not find it. (I could have called "my store" directly.) Eventually they patched me into a store location in our town which was also wrong. Even the guy at this store thought their system was ridiculous. Off to Express Oil where I can just drive in and get an oil change. I think I could have arranged an audience with the Pope with less hassle. read more

My car was having some issues and George told me he would run a diagnostic test on my Nissan Murano. I have lived in Huntsville for 37 years. I have only had two nails in my tires in all of those years. This year, due to the boom in construction, I have gotten three nails at different times and places in our cars tire. I was referred to Discount Tires from a mechanic. Our tires are high performance tires and need a certain machine to get them off the rim. I had a GREAT experience with Discount Tires!! I spoke with Nate Rice. He was very attentive, knowledgeable, and honest. The building was clean and open. The waiting area has televisions, coffee and water. The first time I visited I had the 5 star service everyone is raving about. The last three times I have gone the manager treated me as a major inconvenience. I had a nail in my brand new truck tire (not even 10K miles) and had to order a new one at $375. During the replacement visit he had an issue with my request to keep the old tire, but reluctantly told the technician to put it in the bed of my truck. When I got home I noticed a green cap on the new tire which denotes nitrogen filled. I went back a third time to request replacing nitrogen with air and the manager informed me he doesn't have nitrogen but rather has a whole bunch of green caps and just put it on my tire. I am extremely disappointed with the 180 degree treatment I have received from the manager of this store and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I picked up something in my tire and it was leaking. Tire discounters on South Parkway was the closest place I could find for a repair. The manager got me right in, fixed the tire, and had me on my way in 15 minutes. When I went to pay he said he noticed my bronze star license plate. I told him I had deployed in support of Iraqi freedom. He told me that the tire fix was on the house. It's the little things like this that make a big difference in my life. read more
