called ahead on purpose and asked if i needed to make an appointment but was told "it shouldn't take more than a half hour to an hour" to avoid the issue of time that i unfortunately ran into at this location. sat down after checking in to get tires purchased at Discount Tire serviced, was told shouldn't be more than an hour - after watching my car sit in the parking lot for an hour and 20 minutes, i walked up to the front to get a status update, the employee was apologetic and assured me i was next. another 10 minutes went by before my car was drive off the parking lot, and i was approached by a different employee that told me it would be 15-20 more minutes; after 35 minutes another employee let me know it wouldn't be much longer as i am now next for alignment and apologized. sat down at 10:45, leaving at 12:57 almost missed picking my child up from school which would have created a whole other set of issues. I recommend this business be more transparent when communicating time needed for services and advising customers as i would have loved to get my alignment corrected also but had already been at the location for over two hours when I was told it would only take one. I will not be back to get my alignment adjusted - i will go back to the location in Avon and recommend it to other Discount Tire customers. read more

The technician was glad to help and this establishment is clean with great prices. They have a sign up that states 30% less wait time than other establishments and I would say 90%. I waited about 1 minute for help. The technician informed me the rim and tire would be ready for pick up in a hour and I went to get lunch and while out received a text saying it was ready which was about 15-20 minutes later. Upon arrival the technician informed me they would bring out the tire. He was right back out and loaded it up. Please utilize this establishment. I have used these folks for tires on both vehicles for years. They do a great job. My pickup was having a sensor issue. Made an appointment for the next day. They diagnosed the problem. 2007 Nissan Frontier, they found a little rust on the inside of the rim where the bead sits allowing air to escape. They cleaned the rim, put the tire back on, leak tested it put it back on the truck. They didn't charge me, part of the service for tires I bought from them. They had me out the door in 1 hr 15 minutes. read more

The gentleman assured me I would be in and out over the phone, so I was sold. When I arrived, Demarcus introduced himself as the voice from the phone, and went through a safety inspection of my tires, informing me of any concerns they may have had. With only minor concerns about relatively new tires, I opted to replace the one. Again, Demarcus, assured me I would be in and out within the hour. On 06/19/24 Discount Tire put new Michelin CrossClimate2 tires on my BMW. I asked them to be sure they torqued the wheel lugs to the BMW spec. I forgot to ask them to put the proper air pressure in the tires. Today 08/19/24 they sent me an email reminding me to have the air pressure checked so I just checked the tires. The spec is 32 psi. The left side tires were both at 30 psi so I brought them up to 32 (all good). Both passenger side tires were at 40 psi!!! I corrected them but boy am I upset. Now I am wondering what torque they actually used for my wheel lugs. The pressures where checked with 2 different quality gages. read more

We have always had good service at Discount Tire. Today I needed my tires checked for the correct psi. For Covid safety they have you pull around the building and have an area designated for free air check. A young man came out to my car wearing his mask and wearing it properly. I had my mask on and put my window down just enough to let him know my car was saying all my tires were about 5 lbs low. He said OK and checked all the pressures and gave me a thumbs up. I've been coming to Discount Tire for all my tire repair/replacement needs for years. They offer a great selection on many tire brands - the common brands names they usually have in stock, but if they don't have want you're looking for they can usually special order it and have it shipped to the store within a few business days. Prices are competitive and they seem to run big tire sales at least a couple of times during the year. Shop area is always clean and the technicians do a good job making sure your vehicle is good to go on the road - they offer free tire repair if its safe to repair the tire, otherwise they usually will recommend you putting on your vehicles spare tire until you can purchase a new one in its place. They offer ONLINE appointment reservations, but if you're not able to book a time online, I'd recommend calling ahead to see what their wait time is before walking in their door as they are usually always busy. Wait time can vary from 2 -4 hours depending on their client load for the day. Professional staff, tidy shop, decent tire prices. If purchasing tires, i also recommend paying a bit extra for their lifetime tire protection in case of future nail/tire road mishaps. I'll continue to use Discount Tire on all of our household vehicles. : ) read more

Highly disappointed in the service there today. Pulled into the free tire check and sat there for 6 minutes while numerous employee walked passed without acknowledging. Finally got out of my car and asked an employee if I was supposed to put the air In myself to which he shrugged his shoulders and said "don't know" and went back to what he was doing. Waited for another 4 minutes and asked another guy if I was supposed to put the air in myself to which he replied, "no but we're really busy right now, maybe one of the guys in the front can do." Now I realize at that time I was not a paying customer, however if you can't take a minimum of 2 minutes at the most to put air in a customers tires, you should probably not offer free air checks. read more

I came to this store and location after shopping around for 4 new tires. They treated me kindly and took care of me on the same day I called them for a quote. They take appointments up until 6pm, and they also cater to "walk ins". My appointment was at 5:30pm and I left around 6:20pm. I was told that I can come back every 5,000 miles for free tire rotations for the life of the tires. I left a happy camper. The next morning I walked out to my car and one of the new tires was flat. I called the store and they asked if I was able to bring it in and they would take care of it. I had to call AAA because honestly, I know very little about changing a flat tire and I was in my work clothes that I didn't want to ruin. Once I got back to the shop they were very apologetic and did the "soapy water" test to find out where the leak was. It was on the valve so they rebuilt it and it took about 30min. I was an hour and half late to work that day but thankfully my workplace was understanding. Even though it was kind of a bummer, they were very nice, took accountability and corrected it as fast as possible without taking advantage of my own kindness by trying to charge me for the repairs.
