I had a very disappointing experience at the Tire Kingdom (Mavis) location in Oviedo, FL that I feel other customers should be aware of. I ordered tires through their website after entering my vehicle information. The site clearly confirmed the tires fit my car. Later I received a voicemail from an employee named Holland claiming I had ordered the wrong size. When I returned the call, instead of explaining the situation professionally, he immediately blamed me and spoke in a condescending tone. I explained that I relied on their system's fitment recommendation, not guesswork, but his attitude only worsened. He told me he would order the correct tires, yet I received no updates the entire day. When I tried calling the store that evening, the phone rang endlessly with no answer. The listed business hours online appear to be inaccurate. The next day, after more than 24 hours with no communication, I called again and still received no update. When I asked when I could expect one, he became argumentative. I admit I was frustrated at that point, I admittedly lost my temper and cursed at Holland. He then hung up the phone on me. I drove up to the store with my wife, but instead of de-escalating as a professional should, he escalated the situation, matched my energy, pointed his finger at my wife, and threatened to have me trespassed from the property. For context, I have spent 36 years in aviation maintenance and over a decade in corporate customer service. I would never speak to a customer the way I was spoken to. Regardless of frustration on either side, professionalism should never be abandoned. This is also not my first issue with this location. On previous visits for tire rotations, both my vehicle and my daughter's vehicle developed slow leaks shortly afterward that required multiple return visits to address. I ultimately left and went to Tire Choice down the road. They had the correct tires in stock, completed the work promptly, gave me a discount, and treated me with respect. I do not like writing bad reviews, but this experience crossed the line. Based on this interaction, I will not be returning to any Mavis or Tire Kingdom location and cannot recommend this store to others. read more

It depends on the management there my husband came in there to get tire change and to see the air pressure in the tires and the manager was very cruel to him talked back to my husband because he was in a wheelchair and discriminated against him. This manager is Cam and has lied been cruel not only to customers but employees, lies and causes some customers more damage to cars when mechanics spot something, Cam tells the mechanics to not bother with it! My husband called ahead to order tires and make an appointment. He verified over the phone that they would be able to do my tires, and he put a deposit down. The drop off was to be about an 1 1/2 hours. Upon returning, nothing was done and then they informed him that they don't have the tool needed. WeI wasted time, cancelled an appointment for this, and they didn't even call us to let me know. I have had an issue with them before, but my husband chose them for convenience. Went to get my tire patched that I had previously plugged. Turns out the tire had a new hole in it. Tire Kingdom said they couldn't patch because the hole was too big... not sure why after looking at the second hole, the patch shouldn't have been a problem. Waited over an hour for them to get the tire back on the rim as they struggled. Got the tire home to see if I could plug the other hole or take it elsewhere, turns out they completely ruined the tire, damaging it so bad it wouldn't seat. I wouldn't recommend this location. I read the reviews from a year ago and thought that I'd be more hopeful that things had changed. Turns out it's still as reviewed -- I dropped my car off for my appointment I made at 10am, I came back at 11am as I know it really only takes that much amount of time to complete on time in the past at other locations... and it hadn't even been worked on yet or moved. I've worked a front desk for years and appointment times are there for timeliness that you're ready when the appointment is. This location is so much better than the Waterford location. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I always recommend picking the earliest appointment if possible as this is when they are the least busy but if you're dropping off your car it makes it easier. They called to tell me that there was an issue with my oil gasket which I appreciated them bringing it to my attention and asking if I wanted them to fix it at that time. I opted out as I wanted more time to think about it, but I was grateful that they weren't pressuring me to get it done right then and there. Don't forget to take your coupon from online! read more

I schedule an appointment for an oil change for 3 PM and probably arrive to be greeted by no one. I walked into the garage to get some assistance and someone followed me back to the counter to get my paperwork taken care of. They told me they would get to it as soon as they could so I began to wait. After 25 minutes of waiting I walked over to Valvoline about 20 yards from Tire Kingdom and asked how much they charge for an oil change. And walked back over to tire Kingdom and it was about 330 when I grabbed my keys for my car and left. Made a 3 pm appt to have a tire repaired that was under warranty. Simple fix due to location of the nail. It just needed a plug. Could easily do it myself but figured since it was covered that I might as well let this place do it. Big mistake and huge waste of time. Clearly this place preferences customers who are paying over those who are covered. Two people have left before me that arrived agree. Apparently women are treated differently at this location. I was talked down to and very short attitude. I asked for the "warranty" add on to be taken off bc I have that coverage and he said I don't have that coverage. And proceeded to still try to sell me the coverage. I told him sir I don't want it and he said don't talk to me like that. The audacity of him. Then he said you DON'T have that coverage and my response is you don't know what I have. Just let me pay. He proceeded to ring me out pissed off. No sense of customer service and will go to a different Tire Kingdom next time. He was nice with my husband but very nasty with me. I pulled up in my vehicle around 7:30 in the morning for a tire repair, just needed a plug & patch due to a nail, and I also wanted the tires rotated. I figured it could be done pretty fast, as the place was pretty dead at that time. Boy was I wrong! It took them 6 1/2 hours to call me and let me know that they could not repair the tire and suggested that I needed a new one, along with a bunch services that I didn't need nor asked for. I quickly declined the new tire, picked up my vehicle and repaired the tire myself. The customer service was a bit uninspiring, the guy behind the counter seemed very grumpy and almost dismissing when I spoke with him about the work I needed done. When I picked up my vehicle, many of the mechanics were hanging out near the front counter handing out food and joking around. It took awhile for them to notice that I was even there. The vehicle was not ready when I arrived, they had "get it back together". All they did was rotate the tires...what is there to get back together? I was in the US Marine Corps as an automotive mechanic, I can tell you this, if a nail is 1 inch or more away from the side wall and no damage to the belt or the inside of the sidewall, you don't need a new tire. If they are not going to repair tires, then Tire Kingdom should be up-front about it, "we do not repair tires, we only replace them". It would have saved me the 6 1/2 hours my vehicle was at their shop on my weekend off. Buyer beware these guys are all about selling you parts and services you don't need. They spent more time trying to find things wrong with my vehicle so they could sell me more of there parts and services, when they could have spent that time digging the nail out of my tire. They are definitely trying to take advantage of people that don't know any better. This is the last time I buy or have tires serviced with this Tire Kingdom. read more

I took one of our cars to this shop and they said the power steering fluid needed to be replaced because it was "dirty". I declined the service and when I arrived home I checked the fluid and it was clear and not dirty. Another time I took our other car in for an alignment and was told the wheel bearings needed to be replaced. The technician demonstrated the need to replace the wheel bearings by pushing and pulling on one of the front wheels... Absolute bs. I called the place I take my car to for regular oil changes, etc. and was told the wheel bearings are fine. Many years later the car is running fine. read more

A couple years back, I brought my car in for repair with them. I knew the issue was a failed ball joint, and they agreed, along with some other things that yes, needed replacing. The diagnosis was spot on, which is great, however how they performed the repairs were so appalling, that I almost got into a car accident. I should note ahead of time that I used to work on cars myself, but was no longer able to work on cars at this point, but I could certainly still diagnose them. When replacing the ball joints, they over tightened the new bolts (where rivets used to be), and after a year of general use, they stripped, popped out, and nearly pulled me, and my little sister, into oncoming traffic. When brought to their attention, they felt that I should pay for the repairs because it was a year of driving. However if the repair was done correctly, bolts would not be popping out of place like this after just one year of use. Because of this, corporate sided with me and sent me a settlement check, as they agreed that I was indeed correct, and should not have paid, nor have needed to go back in the first place after just one year. If you chose to go here, just remember, they can diagnose the issue just fine, it's the repairs that are less than stellar. Isn't that what an auto repair shop should be good at? Unfortunately, and apparently, tire kingdom doesn't make "money" with mgmt like that so they brought in these new bozos that don't know the first thing about customer service and treat their customers as if they are doing us a favor! Give me a break! After the amount of business I've brought this place, you think it's appropriate to treat your customers like they don't matter? All I have to say is, customers will catch on and your business will continue to get poor ratings. 2000 323CI BMW - Took my car to Tire Kingdom after having some minor engine work done at a European Car specialist because the "Specialist" informed me that my brake pads needed replacing and my tires were wearing improperly. As it turns out the real experts at Tire Kingdom were able to show me that I actually had a broken lower control arm and needed struts and shocks for my 17 year old car! I got all my work done and a set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires (which I love) put on the same day. Thank goodness for Tire Kingdom service managers Rick and Dave! I went to this location today mainly because they had a little bit better of a rating on Yelp. I only wanted 2 new tires and a synthetic oil change. I'm usually skeptical going to tire shops without a male companion because they usually try to sell females anything and everything. When I arrived I was warmly greeted by 2 gentleman. When it was my turn to step to the counter I explained what I needed. Steve who is the manager listened and began to explain all of the current promotions they had going and then showed me several tire options for my car. I explained that I wasn't sure how long I was going to keep the car so I didn't want to go crazy on the price of tires. He totally understood and gave me some suggestions. I ended up choosing 2 mid range tires. I also explained that I was told that I needed a break job on the front but I wanted to hold off on that for now. He told me that thy would check everything out and let me know what was needed. My car was taken back fairly quickly and within 10 minutes Steve was back to go over the items. He explained that my other 2 tires seemed new so he only recommended the 2 that I was purchasing. He also said that I had about another 5000 miles left on the break pads so when I bring my car in for my next oil change then he would suggest getting the brakes done at that time. Honestly I feel that if I was at another shop I would have been scared into getting unnecessary items. I was really impressed with the professionalism and the quick service. The oil change and changing if tires took a little less than an hour and a half. I was one happy girl. I recommend this place to any female that has had bad experiences at other tire shops! read more

There is a Manager there named Aaron and he goes above and beyond every time and offers excellent service. I appreciate the honesty and integrity they show when I bring in my cars, and they never trying to sell me on services I dont need just recommend preventative services. Went in and asked for complimentary tire pressure check. I've done several times in the past. Older Hispanic man came out and immediately copped a big attitude. He ignored me as I tried telling him the tire pressure per the door sticker. He refused to check and wouldn't listen to me. Later, I discovered he over inflated all my tires and I had to quickly correct it. Guess he didn't like listening to a female? Complimentary service is useless. This Tire Kindgom has gone above and beyond. The truck was having a/c problems. Since they are always pretty busy we chose to take the truck for a hvac rest at Ford and were discounted the diagnostic. At Ford I was told that the ac problem was much bigger. I would basically need a whole new ac quoting me at 6,000! I took it right back to Tire Kingdom and was told not to worry about a thing that they would fix it. After a couple of days the truck at Tire Kingdom the ac was working like new at no additional cost. I can't thank them enough for their time and effort. read more

It took a manager over n hr just to tell me that they would not patch a tire with a plug in the middle of the tire with more then enough tread still on tire within the legal limits. In addition to charging me more for my oil change than I was told it would cost when I came in, and taking over an hour and a half to do the oil change when I was told under an hour, the staff of this location lived up to the worst auto service stereotypes of being demeaning to women. I have been a customer of this store for years. Bought 2 sets of tires, an extra tire later on, and regularly took my cars for oil changes and simple things. Decently good customer service until the last couple of days. here's why bottom line 1) Tire Kingdom was not interested in keeping a long time customer 2) Our car spent the night in this shop without us getting any heads up 3) Tire Kingdom was not clear that there was going to be a $119 diagnostic fee - I feel cheated details: June 1 2018 - On my last visit, my wife took our car with the intention to do an oil change and to 'check out the engine light'. According to the sales rep he explained twice that he would do a diagnosis and asked her to sign the regular paperwork. We left the car and waited for a call with next steps. We didn't receive a call that day, we had to call before closing only to find out the car was going to spend the night there -- they were too busy (if they had told us that the car was not going to be seen that day, we would've gone somewhere else !!!) June 2 2018 - Again, no call. We had to call them. This time the diagnosis was ready and the repair will costs us $960 !! I told them that for that cost I needed to shop around so I would go pick up the car. Is was only then that we found out that there was a $119 fee for the diagnosis and they had not done the oil change. I asked for a reimbursement as my wife would'v never agree to pay $100 just for a diagnosis (she's not into cars) but they only offered $25 off I decided to pay the fee and to never again be their customer I ask myself/and the manager: Is it really worth it to lose a loyal customer and a potential $960 fix for a 'diagnosis' fee that initiated out of confusion?? read more
