I have been using punta gorda store for a few years now. I normally do a lot of searching for prices before I purchase anything and they have yet to let me down on being competitive. This was the biggest bait and switch establishment I have ever seen. I arrived at7 a.m. for oil change appointment. The store was still closed. waited till 7:10. When he finally opened, I gave him my information. He went out to look at my car and said my tires (with 3,000 miles on them) were worn on the inside. Total BS. Then said he heard a ticking in my engine, (my car has 250,000 miles on it) and said he would not be able to change the oil if the car was low on oil. I asked him to repeat what he just said... Brought my husbands 2019 Impala in for tire repair it took 3hours and 20 minutes then they told me it was out of alignment I mentioned it was New was told alignment not covered $140+dollars later I left should have called a dealer as I found out later that it would have been done for free Would NEVER go back feel they did not treat me fairly and forgot to mention I had an appointment for the repair if not can't imagine how long it would have been read more

Customers beware the Mgr. Billy Joel/Joe told me I needed a complete brake job (Rotors, brake pads, and calipers) He fooled me once less than a year ago, shame on him....but Luckily I was not taken advantage of the 2nd time. My husband took it to another shop and all my Jeep needed was brake fluid & front pads. If any of those people, at Tire Kingdom Punta Gorda,tell you that you need extensive and very costly work completed get a 2nd opinion and save yourself hundreds of dollars. i called saturday to make a appointment they said they were open sunday and had 300pm open...that was good for me as i start back to work at my part time job tuesday nov 12 and wanted an oil change and check up before i make my 30 mile drive...they did good and also gave me a coupon for 20 per cent off my next visit.. great job guys read more

Went in to see if I could get some help changing a spark plug, explained that I was headed home to Georgia and the cheap tools I had bought would not even break my spark plugs loose. Also had noticed a little oil on my plugs. I was informed that it would probably cost me upwards of $500 to repair and would not make it home. I walked out. My car not only made it home but gave me no problems at a higher speed. They should not be trying to take advantage of people who are not in a position to help themselves. My advice - get a second opinion on any recommended repair jobs from these people. Good thing I am not a complete idiot when it comes to my car. It needed a spark plug changed. Usually good & friendly service, but I'm not a happy camper today. There were 2 people i front of me when I walked in. I waited my turn & when I got to the desk, I noticed the service manager was taking care of me (Woo-hoo, I thought! I gonna get great service!) I told him what I needed, he wrote up my order, had me sign it & told me they would call me up to the desk with my estimate. I waited an hour (I didn't have an appt so didn't think much of it) before I went to the desk to inquire. The manager had forgotten all about me! The oil had been changed & the car was parked back in the same space I'd left it. But I hadn't been given an estimate on the other work I'd asked about. He told me what needed to be done & apologetically quoted a 20 min. wait so I agreed to go ahead (since by now I'd already been there 1 1/2 hrs.!) 30 min. later the work was done. Had a horrible experience with Goodyear down the street who turned me away because they were too close to closing time (bs) and couldn't help fix my tire after getting a screw in it and traveling 5 hours from out of town and not knowing where to go. Came to tire kingdom and was very well taken care of and in and out. Guys were very nice. read more

I went to Tire Kingdom with a car I was planning to purchase. The stearing did not seem just right and I asked if they could do a safety check. They scheduled me in and after about 30 minutes came with a list of problems. Actually in the car was unsafe, and I have their print out which I could show the seller. They would except no money and I thank them greatly for their time and service. read more

I took my fleet vehicle in for new tires and was called an hour later by Steve that my van was ready. It wasn't. Fleet declined service because lazy Steve tried sliding in an alignment without even looking at the van. I straightened that out and they said it would be ready at 3:30. Then they called and said not until Monday because they forgot to get the tires from another store. I should've left after the first lie. I found out our company had them banned from doing brakes and transmission services. Now they've been removed for all services. read more

Good service and friendly people. Used the on line appointment service to have my oil changed. They discovered that 2 belts needed to be replaced. They ordered the parts and we made an appointment for 2 days later. I arrived prior to my appointment time and they took the car right away and had the belts installed within the time frame they said they would. The only reason I did not rate 5 stars is that when the oil was changed the tech who brought the car around had been smoking and the smoke got in my car. When I returned for belt replacement I asked the store manager to have someone bring my car around that was a non-smoker. He understood and obliged my request. read more

These guys at Tire Kingdom went above and beyond and I cant thank them enough I live in west palm beach about 2 hours from where my car broke down was heading north out of ft Meyers on my way to visit friends in st Pete on Sunday labor day weekend. when the charging light came on and a bunch of other lights came on. after pulling over on I75 and getting towed to the next town of Punta Gorda looking for an auto parts store for a replacement alternator or a couple of batteries to get the extra 90 miles to my destination, I passed a Tire kingdom store and pulled in. Now it was 430 on a Sunday on labor day weekend and they closed at 6 and he said he would do what he could. Luckily the part was available at a local auto parts store and by 630 I was on my way to an excellent visit with friends I hadn't seen in years.
