    After multiple great experiences at my neighborhood tire shop, I had a horrible experience most recently. A 3 day ordeal. Most of this would've likely gone better of not for one member of the staff. My car isn't brand new. It's not super luxurious or anything but I really depend on it and it's really important to me. It does have a few quirks that makes it different from most other cars. Here goes... I showed up Friday afternoon. The hours have been adjusted because of the pandemic so I wasn't able to get any service. Fortunately I was able to get an appointment Saturday morning. I was there early, before they opened. I was first on the list of appointments but for whatever reason they took me second. I had to leave my car. The issue was with two of my tires. I'd been to the dealership first, but decided to patronize my neighborhood shop instead. I'd been there multiple times and I was always happy with the service and concern for customers. A few hours after I'd dropped my car off I got a call. It was from Dan. I hadn't dealt with Dan in the shop. He explained that they could replace one tire, told me about the tire and said they'd get it from their warehouse. Im not sure why but he also explained that they'd checked my oil and filters and I needed additional service. Ordinarily I'd feel like they were up selling me or whatever but based on my previous experiences, I agreed. But first I expressed some concerns. My car is German and has some quirky issues. Also, my car runs on diesel fuel, not gasoline. The scheduled maintenance is different in my car than most. Dan assured me the process would be seamless so I agreed to all of the recommendations. A few more hours passed and I picked up my car. My car had Z Rated tires, but they sold me/mounted an R Rated tire. Not ideal. I didn't like that. And although it may not represent a safety issue, it should've been mentioned to me before the work was done. I drove around for a few miles and had to return to the shop. The tire indicator alerted me of a problem, this may have something to do with the German engineering quirkinesses but it required to return to the shop, my 4th stop there in 2 days. They took a look, did another reset and I was on my way. This time I was extra concerned about any issues further inconveniencing me. My Saturday errands were all cancelled/postponed. I didn't want any more of my weekend to be effected. After another 15 minutes or so, another alert from my car. One of the fluids was low. How could it be low when it had just been topped off? I returned to the shop for a 5th time. As I walked in, I saw Dan. I told joke the issue. Then I asked if he'd topped off the fluid of which I'd specifically discussed with him over the phone. He lied and said, "yes." The discussion went on filled with lies and excuses and blame. It was after 4PM by then and the shop was closing at 5. Dan speculated that the shop ran out of one of the fluids so 'someone' just didn't bother to do it and pretended they did and apparently convinced him to lie to me about it or whatever. We both ended up in the parking lot. I showed him where the fluid went in my car. He was over my shoulder, really close. Like uncomfortably close. I guess social distancing went out the window. I think at this point a sincere apology was in order, not pointing the finger, blaming others, etc. Long story short, I had to come by again Sunday. A pain in the butt, but it is what it is. Dan insisted on driving the car into the shop again, some rule. But it's okay to lie to customers. That's not against the rules. And it okay to stand a few inches away from a customer with no mask. That's cool. Pandemic, schmandemic... Whatever. I really think most of the problems this weekend were due to Dan. He's rude and he's a liar. I even told him he was being rude once. He didn't apologize, he just said, "no, I'm not." I guess the customer is always wrong in his eyes. Who knows. Ordinarily after such a bad experience I'd avoid a place. I honestly think I may be back, as long as I don't have to deal with Dan and if I know he won't touch my car. He left a oil stains on my door handle. Maybe it was an accident. I doubt it though.

    I bought some springs to lower my car and finally found a shop that not only did a great job, but…read moredidn't break the bank. The gentleman at the front desk quoted me $360 just for the labor. It was $100/$150 lower than many other shops in the area. When you lower your car you also need an alignment. The shop did that as well for a total of $450. They did a great job of keeping me up to date with an eta and didn't go beyond the time they quoted me. Im overall happy with the ride and the work they did. I definitely recommend them!
