After multiple great experiences at my neighborhood tire shop, I had a horrible experience most recently. A 3 day ordeal. Most of this would've likely gone better of not for one member of the staff. My car isn't brand new. It's not super luxurious or anything but I really depend on it and it's really important to me. It does have a few quirks that makes it different from most other cars. Here goes... I showed up Friday afternoon. The hours have been adjusted because of the pandemic so I wasn't able to get any service. Fortunately I was able to get an appointment Saturday morning. I was there early, before they opened. I was first on the list of appointments but for whatever reason they took me second. I had to leave my car. The issue was with two of my tires. I'd been to the dealership first, but decided to patronize my neighborhood shop instead. I'd been there multiple times and I was always happy with the service and concern for customers. A few hours after I'd dropped my car off I got a call. It was from Dan. I hadn't dealt with Dan in the shop. He explained that they could replace one tire, told me about the tire and said they'd get it from their warehouse. Im not sure why but he also explained that they'd checked my oil and filters and I needed additional service. Ordinarily I'd feel like they were up selling me or whatever but based on my previous experiences, I agreed. But first I expressed some concerns. My car is German and has some quirky issues. Also, my car runs on diesel fuel, not gasoline. The scheduled maintenance is different in my car than most. Dan assured me the process would be seamless so I agreed to all of the recommendations. A few more hours passed and I picked up my car. My car had Z Rated tires, but they sold me/mounted an R Rated tire. Not ideal. I didn't like that. And although it may not represent a safety issue, it should've been mentioned to me before the work was done. I drove around for a few miles and had to return to the shop. The tire indicator alerted me of a problem, this may have something to do with the German engineering quirkinesses but it required to return to the shop, my 4th stop there in 2 days. They took a look, did another reset and I was on my way. This time I was extra concerned about any issues further inconveniencing me. My Saturday errands were all cancelled/postponed. I didn't want any more of my weekend to be effected. After another 15 minutes or so, another alert from my car. One of the fluids was low. How could it be low when it had just been topped off? I returned to the shop for a 5th time. As I walked in, I saw Dan. I told joke the issue. Then I asked if he'd topped off the fluid of which I'd specifically discussed with him over the phone. He lied and said, "yes." The discussion went on filled with lies and excuses and blame. It was after 4PM by then and the shop was closing at 5. Dan speculated that the shop ran out of one of the fluids so 'someone' just didn't bother to do it and pretended they did and apparently convinced him to lie to me about it or whatever. We both ended up in the parking lot. I showed him where the fluid went in my car. He was over my shoulder, really close. Like uncomfortably close. I guess social distancing went out the window. I think at this point a sincere apology was in order, not pointing the finger, blaming others, etc. Long story short, I had to come by again Sunday. A pain in the butt, but it is what it is. Dan insisted on driving the car into the shop again, some rule. But it's okay to lie to customers. That's not against the rules. And it okay to stand a few inches away from a customer with no mask. That's cool. Pandemic, schmandemic... Whatever. I really think most of the problems this weekend were due to Dan. He's rude and he's a liar. I even told him he was being rude once. He didn't apologize, he just said, "no, I'm not." I guess the customer is always wrong in his eyes. Who knows. Ordinarily after such a bad experience I'd avoid a place. I honestly think I may be back, as long as I don't have to deal with Dan and if I know he won't touch my car. He left a oil stains on my door handle. Maybe it was an accident. I took my car here for alignment balance and tire rotation, and when they gave me the keys saying that car was ready, I drove away and fing out that car was still pulling on one side and no rotation nor balance was done!! So I drove back and when I told them that the car was still pulling they said that alignment had to be checked again..so I asked for paper results and he said the printer is out of ink!! And they didn t do tire rotation because I didnnt ask!! In the end car still pulling on one side and no rotation was done..( should I stay by my car and check it when they working on it!??) I live in Texas, my parents in Florida and I had to call this Tire Kingdom in order for them to look up the records for tires I had purchased from the business for my parents vehicle. When I gave my phone number the Manager stated that he only had records for MY car, not my parents- which was super odd because I have never had MY car serviced at Tire Kingdom. I told him that couldn't be possible and the conversation deteriorated very quickly. I asked him to look again and he started becoming irate which triggered me and I asked for the Manager ( I had not known he was the manager), I asked for his name and he said- You can call me Manager. Then I asked for the contact for the District Manager and when I stated that I could not believe that this is how my father and I were being handled (at this point he was really rude) he told me he didn't need to take this from me and hung up on me. I called back, thinking maybe someone else would answer and I could get the number- instead he answered and when I said I wanted the District number he said I could go find that myself. I called corporate and then they had another Manager call me. An extremely exceptional man (Les at Plant City - they need more of his kind of person!) - who was clearly well versed in customer service and company operations. As I suspected- the records for my parents car were easily accessible to him AND we both realized that the Manager at Hills Bourgh completely missed locating the records as he did not know or exercise the push of an additional screen access. In my opinion - The Hillsborough manager belongs in the back - away from customers or in another field - away from people. He treated us like crap from the very beginning- before my dad called me he was already being treated terrible - my dad... 74 years old... being treated so terribly in a packed tire store in a state where more than 50% of the population is above 60... what in the world give anyone the right to be so rude to anyone and especially to older people who aren't even confrontational? My dad is like the nicest dude ever - I'm the bull dog, not my dad. Then that Manager hangs up on me twice, tells me to call him "Manager", wont release his name, won't release the contact info to the District Manager, and tells me to go find the number myself. Ultimately, Tire Kingdom (and other Tire companies) were bought by Mavis and in the consolidation of records my NTB records (NTB was also bought by Mavis) for my 2018 car were coming up first and then my dads car comes up second when you look up our vehicles. All my NTB records are from work done in Texas - my dads stuff is from Florida, so this was an issue of records not showing up seamlessly - though they were accessible. What happened? My dad went home, found the records, went back - and all of a sudden that Jerk Manager changed his tune. All of sudden he was all nice and accommodating. Someone needs to train that guy that you don't treat people with so much disregard - being a 'Manager' is NOT what makes you powerful or above anyone. My dad got the tire looked at, turned out it was a replaced tire from another store - though that isn't the point of this review, honestly if that Manager had done a better job then it would have saved a lot of time. In the end this is simply about really bad interaction with a Tire Kingdom Manager. Everything starts there - and ends there. My father left and was very clear, this man wasted everyone's time, made peoples upset, was disrespectful, and is a terrible representative for Tire Kingdom/Mavis. read more

Made my appointment online so things were pretty easy when I got there. Gave them the keys, they took a look at the car, confirmed what I came there for and ask me to buy some extra stuff, but didn't push anything after I said no. Needed to get all four tires changed. Came during there buy 3 get 1 free deal and saved a little bit. Had to buy a certain service for the tire deal to work but still saved me money in the end. The install came with a tire lifetime rotation and balancing so ill be coming here a couple times a year for that. I didn't wait here for the tires to be changed because I had someone pick me up. They did call me 10-15 min before they were done. Took them about 90min to finished. The waiting room is clean. It has a soda machine, free coffee, a nice TV, magazines, and the seats are ok. It feels better on the inside than it looks on the outside. Staff was friendly. They didn't push any extra buys and held the door for me when my car was ready. I do have one gripe however, after they put the new tires on they did not clean them at all. I don't know if thats standard or not, but they are filthy and look absolutely terrible. Lucky I have some tire clean and dressing at home but wow. The ride is much better however, smooth and quiet. I really needed to get new tires. All in all it was a good and simple experience. If you make an appointment online you have an idea of what your going to pay when you get there. read more

I made an appointment for an oil change and brake check. I arrived early and when I went in I was addressed by the front desk clerk, he would be with me shortly. This was an understatement. He helped two others before me and when it was my turn (20 minutes later), he was rude and condescending. I would never recommend this establishment, nor will I ever return. Thank you for being willing to help! I had a slow leak in one of my tires. I tried 2 tire shops on Hillsborough to hopefully get serviced before they close, no luck. So I went to Wawa to fill up air as a quick fix. But Wawa's air machine was broken and I ended up losing more air. Frustrated, I drove across the street to Tire Kingdom and they were more than happy to help although they were close to closing. I started coming to Tire Kingdom in Town & Country about 5 - 6 years ago because my good friend told me to go see, the manager back then, as my friend was familiar with him. Since that time, I needed tires, I started going there with any issues with my then 2007 Nissan Murano. I bought a brand new Chevy Tahoe in May of 2020. When it needed tires I went to this Tire Kingdom. I was looking for a set of 275-75-18's. One criteria was they also had to be White Letters the second I wanted an aggressive tread. They recommend a set of Cooper Discoverer RTX's. Much more expensive than the AT3's which was more of a car type of tread. I got the RTX's and damn they look nice! I've received many compliments about them. I got the warranty for $35 per tire and I'm so happy I did. I'm usually not one for paying extra for these type warranties. It only $35 per tire yes I'll do that. So far I've had two flats fixed under warranty and one time I needed a replacement tire because a huge washer I picked up on the highway ruined the tire. No charge basically except a small fee to balance and $35 to warranty the new tire. I was there this morning. March 13, 2023. Renzo and this morning Dan helped me get in the shop right away after just opening. I am going back for wiper blades and any other service I may need from now on. All the people there have provided excellent customer service. Unless I need something from the dealership it's going to be Tire Kingdom in Town & Country providing my service needs. Came here because my tire was flat and need to get fixed. The guy who helped me told me that it will take about 30 minutes to 45 minutes wait for them to get my tire fixed. The waiting room was clean and organize. They have coffee area and coffee is free. Plenty of chairs for customers and a free wi-fi. I was surprise that when they called my attention they told me that my car is ready. When i check my watch I did not even waited for 30 minutes. The service was so fast and the agents were nice and made sure that they can provide the service you needed. read more

What a ripp off. I came in because my car was shaking and I was told I need 3 new tires. I came back the next day bc the shaking didn't stop after replacing them. They said I needed 1 more new tire and 4 new rims. Both days they said they were balancing my tires/wheels. So I took my car to another place that said that they have my rims in stock. After looking at my old rims the new place said my rims are totally ok and they balanced my tires/wheels and my car runs perfect now. I payed 30$ instead of 310$ for new rims that I didn't need. If there was such thing as no stars , this place deserves it ! Especially the Manager who is not professional what so ever ( Chris Rucker or tucker) , these people will rip you off !! I've spent 1.7k into this car to get it back and have it stop in the middle of the road multiple times puttin my life in danger , they " guarantee / warranty " there work but why you gonna waste my time coming back to get something fixed that took 10 hours for me to wait again to get my car fixed , it's ridiculous , you'd expect that you spend that type of money your car be running in excellent condition . They also added on dozens of pointless stuff that I didn't even need and they replaced my radiator and didn't even put the water in it ! Wtf kind of work you people do ! This location is not recommended as I said before there out to rip you a new one and take your money . I have been using this Tire Kingdom location for 3 years and have been totally satisfied with their service until recently. I had an issue with a rattling in my car, and they said I needed a tie rod replacement. It didn't help. Then they said it was my serpentine belts. They replaced those and the issue didn't clear up. I took it somewhere else; it turned out to be something in my exhaust that needed welding. Even more recently I took my car in for a tire rotation and balance to even out some shaking. They rotated the tires but didn't balance them! I took it back the next day to be balanced, I don't believe they even performed the balance. They did, however, send me home with an estimate for all new struts, claiming that was my problem. The estimate including labor and parts was for almost $2K. I had another mechanic look at it, and he said that my struts were all in perfect condition, and that the problem was that I needed an alignment and two new tires. I bought the new tires, and then he did an alignment, rotation and balance for $100... the problem is completely fixed. What happened Tire Kingdom? I can understand trying a few different things to rid my car of a mysterious rattle, but trying to charge me $2K for struts that don't even need replacing? That was a bold faced lie to a loyal customer, and you have lost my business forever. My recommendation is to be highly suspicious of this location. read more

Called earlier for a appointment spoke with Otto. Very friendly and got in at 3pm. However, after looking into my vehicle again, I discovered that the vehicle was locked in 4wd. I switched it to 2wd and solved my issue. I immediately called them back and spoke with Mike. Told him I need to cancel the appointment. Had the worst experience ever today at tire kingdom had a day off work so decided to shop around for new tires the sales associate seem nice at the time I walked in so I figure I'll give him my business and purchase 4 new tires the price was good even compared to other shops. Waited a couple minutes in the shop everything seemed fine I told the associate I was stepping out for couple minutes but was coming right back, when I returned my car was done and this is where my NIGHTMARE began. I noticed the tires did not look new the 2 passenger side tires where full of mud did not match the 2 tires on the driver side the brands were the same. The associate told me they were test driving the car to make sure the alignment was good, mind you the mud was only on the passenger side the driver side tires were clean no mud. The associate then tried to explain that being there is construction in the area that's why tires were dirty, he even told me I am the 3rd person complaining about mud on tires. There was no wet mud near there and the car didn't have an inch of mud so I know that was total BS. I proceeded to tell the associate I want new tires and I want to watch them put the tires on to make sure they were putting new tires on my car. They changed the tires and I watched while they installed, but before the others (used) tires that were suppose to be new were taken off I took photos and videos to prove my story is not false. If I could leave zero stars I would. I feel like I'm back in NY with all of these crooks and schemers. I came in with a slow leak. They told me that they don't plug tires they patch them. After waiting two hours they called me to let me know all my rims were bent and all four tires and rims needed replacement. I felt like I was getting bamboozled so I told them to not do any work. I start driving my car and immediately I notice that my rear driver wheel is off. Whether it needed alignment or the way they put the tire back on the rim. Reading someone else's review I see tire kingdom tried to bamboozle them with the replace everything and still not fix things. I firmly believe they tampered with my wheel so I would have to come back and go through with the repair. I called the shop and explained my tire was worse than yesterday and I was told that things happen overnight and that I'm SOL. If you want to get swindled and be put in a bad mood then bring your car here to get serviced by the stereotypical fuck you for your money car mechanics...smh. They could all smd read more

I have entrusted them with 7 different cars for all sorts of repairs over the years and have almost always had a great experience. If I wasn't satisfied with the repairs, they made it right.
