I came in to have a nail removed and my tire patched. They said it would take 2 hours. After over 2.5 hours later, my car still had not been serviced. I asked how much longer before my car would be ready and they said another 1.5 hours. How do you go from 2 to 4 hours? When they finally got the car into the bay, they came back and said they were unable to patch it because the nail was in the side wall. On top of that, they didn't have a tire similar to mine to replace it. My afternoon was completely ruined and I left having had nothing done on my car. No apology. Barely even looked at me. Just handed me the keys and went right back to typing whatever he was typing on his screen. Terrible customer service. read more

These guys are incompetent and trying to rip people off. I had a nail lodged into my tire at a 5° angle. Easy to pull out and had plenty of tread left on it and not losing air. They tried telling me that the tires were unrepairable and passed the tread mark which they were not. I couldn't even get my finger to touch the bottom of the tread track. Tried to get me to sign up for their bullshit credit card so that I could buy tires off them. I ended up taking the tire home myself, pulling the nail out myself and plugging it myself. They couldn't even follow simple instructions to not put the tire underneath my truck and just leave it in the bed. I've been building cars my whole life and they tried to treat their customers like they're a sorority girl who can't change their blinker fluid. Horrible establishment, Firestone should be ashamed of themselves. (Updated)... Fixed it myself, thanks for nothing! No need to give you $1200.00. Something no-one wants to deal with...getting a flat tire. Unfortunately I had a tire blow out on me and once the spare donut was in place thanks to the most amazing FDOT roadside warrior, I started calling around to get a replacement. My tires are difficult to find for some reason and also every place had no time to install one for me. Fortunately for me I contacted Firestone located next to Westshore Mall and had Frank not only confirm they had the tire I needed but also accommodate me the same day so I wouldn't be stranded at home. He was courteous and efficient and I will definitely be back when I need my tires replaced. read more

TERRIBLE service. Will not be returning and I would highly recommend that others avoid this place. I initially scheduled an oil & filter change and a complete vehicle inspection online for Friday at 6 pm. On Friday, I got an email saying the appt was cancelled. I called the shop and rescheduled my appt for Sunday at 1 pm. Upon arriving for my appointment, there were several people in the store and a of couple people ahead of me in line. After checking in I checked in, I was asked to come back in couple hours to pick up my car. This surprised me as I had a set appt and the services I requested do not typically take long. When I expressed this to the employee, he did not apologize, he just stated that there were many appts scheduled and they were backed up. He estimated that my car would be ready around 3:30 pm and said he would give me a call when it was ready. I hadn't heard anything from the shop so I called at 3:45 for an update. I was put on hold for a while before being told that they just "took [my] car in." Over 2.5 hours after my scheduled appt time!!!! When I expressed my frustration to the employee on the phone, he didn't respond. I eventually said "hello" and his respond was, "you want me to cancel?" He was very rude and dismissive, and once again, no apology. He did, however, state that my car should be ready at 4:30 pm. Well 4:30 pm came around and I still hadn't heard anything. The place closes at 5 pm so I was concerned. I finally got the call that my car was ready around 4:45 pm and I told the employee that I would head back to get my car. I got there a few minutes before 5 pm and the door was locked. I had to knock on the door to be let in and I worry that if I was a couple minutes later, he would have left without returning my car that he knew I was on my way back for. Anyways, once I was let in, I asked how the service went. The employee looked at the form and explained that some parts needed to be replaced. This should have already been communicated to me and I should have been asked what I wanted them to fix while they were servicing my car. I asked why they didn't do this and his response was "they couldn't today." This is unacceptable. Why would they schedule me for a service on a day that they could not complete it?? Also, if I hadn't asked about the service, I wouldn't have been told. Now I have to find the time to take my car in again but I WILL NOT be going back to a Firestone. 4 hours of my day wasted sitting in the nearby mall waiting for my car to be ready. I wish I got the name of the employee at the front desk all day but he was not wearing a name tag. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HORRIBLE ORGANIZATION. read more

WARNING!!!! Avoid this location!! Moments ago 5:05pm Wednesday April 5, 2023, I walked into this location after a nail found its way into my tire. There were a few guests waiting, the phone was ringing, and no employees were inside. About 5 mins later, a service writer walked in, looked me straight in the eyes, and walked right past me without saying a word and went straight to one of the waiting guests. After he explained the details of work to the guest, they both walked up to the counter. Again, "service" writer, did not say a word. Two more guests walked in, and again, this service writer never acknowledged the 2 new guests nor myself. After the service writer finished with the guest, he finally answered the 3rd call that had been ringing the entire time. The call was regarding plugging a hole in a tire. He said he could plug it if it was in the middle of the tire. He was pleasant but said he was extremely busy and would try to get to it tonight if he could or they could leave the vehicle. After he hung up the phone, one of two waiting employees cut in before he could even say a word to the 3 of us waiting. After the employees conversation was over, he finally addressed me. I looked at the other employee and said, "If he's got something quick..." and before I could finish, the service writer interrupted me and said, "no, no, what do you need?" As he was clearly flustered, I chose not to address his poor service, and simply say, "I got a nail or screw in my tire and need to get my son home to his mothers in about an hour." He said, "We're too busy and we don't fix tires." I said, "Really!" As much as I wanted to say a few things, I simply grabbed a business card and started to walk out the door. As I was walking out, he said, "I don't fix tires, I sell tires!" I was shocked. I live in the neighborhood across the street and have been a loyal customer for about 5 years. Have been trying to find mechanics who would agree upon the Issue on my suspension for about a year now everything was fixed but the same Persistent noise and rattling after one visit and a conversation with the store manager the issue was addressed verbally first price agreed upon work was completed and my car is perfect . 100 percent happy I will go to no other shop in tampa now . I hope this will persuade to Come here but also fearful because they are so good I'm sure it will get busier after you've read this haha . No one likes car trouble! But we have to get our cars taken care of. I go to Firestone and always have. But I must say this location is one of the best I've visited. I needed some tire work done that had carried over from a previous location in another state. This location took care of all my issues and did so pleasantly. They are thorough, helpful and HONEST! Now I must say as with any car issues you have to be patient and wait. Firestone is always busy and it seems to be busier than ever. But hey there's a mall near by this one! BUT for $$$$ they can get it fixed TODAY!!! Never again. You left you customer stranded on the road. Went to a no name place down the road, got it fixed real fast. Now I'm back home 2000 miles away. I don't like writing bad Yelp reviews, but the service took almost twice as long as they said it would and when it was done the Disney Annual Passholder magnet on my car was gone. They couldn't find it when I asked about it, either. I guess I will have to look for the magnet on eBay, because it's not for sale anywhere. Maybe I was foolish for leaving the magnet on during the service, but if I'm paying $400 I expect them to take care of my car. The reservation system doesn't work either: I booked an appointment for 3 p.m. and received a notice saying that my appointment would not be scheduled until I received a confirmation e-mail. Had a flat tire on our car and bought it to this location real close by our home. First time here since we are still somewhat new to the area. Took the car right in while we waitied (didn't really have a choice). Travis was super-helpful and said it would one of two options: they could patch the tire, or it would need to be replaced. Fortunately, it was just a patch, only $32 and we were on our way in less than 45 minutes. This was awesome and we'll be back with both our cars for tires and service. read more

I've been coming here with the from my boyfriend for a whine now. I got four rain tires and a lifetime tire rotation package. The package has paid for itself already. The price for an oil change is a little above average for what I would normally pay, but the deal with the tire rotation makes it worth my while. Now when I get there, the guy tells me my appointment was never confirmed and they can't fit me in for another hour. Wow! What an outstanding experience! I had a check engine light that came on and was grateful that this Firestone shop was opening early on a Saturday morning. I came in and was greeted very nicely. They ran a diagnostics on the car and they were very clear on the issue and told me my options. I have been here before and was happy yet I think things have changed as it seems even better. The estimated wait times are ridiculous, the service is sub par at best. I've been here a few times and it's the same thing every time. Upsell Upsell Upsell. I would like to have courteous polite service with accurate wait times. I was told that my appointment was a 5:15 and that when I get there no one will be taken before me. Once I get in I asked for my estimated time and am told " well we close at 630 so anytime from now till then" are you kidding me!? It's an oil change. It's just fishy when it takes that long . Are they looking to steal or perform incompetent work? The representative was also very short in his dialog and plain rude. To sum it up, I get there Saturday to change my oil. Every time I come in here for service it's awesome. It's all the staff - very knowledgeable and friendly. I come in for an oil change, they include a running discount I was unaware of. They're slammed on Thursday evening, book an appt to come back at my convenience. They give me recommendations after doing a check, but instead of putting the hard-press on doing the work now, share the risks and offer to work with me on any price challenges. Plus, it's walking distance to Panera, Starbucks, the mall, and restaurants, which is great for the wait (I'd say their waiting area could use a refurb, but there are so many good places to walk to). I wanted to bing my own oil and filter and have them do the change and they refused saying that if it was a deffective filter, then they would be held responsible. Huh? I have never in my life heard of a deffective filter. OK, whatever. I did take them up on a deal to rotate tires, inspect and top off fluids for fifteen bucks. To my suprise, the insepction only turned up a need to replace the air filter. I thought for sure they would find all sorts of things to try to ding me with. That was sort of refreshing that they weren't trying to take me for a ride. The next day I bring in my wifes SUV for the same treatment. I was aware the the brakes were squealing for a while, so I expected to hear about that. They did in fact find that the front brakes and rotors need replacement. I got their quote and called Goodyear down the street for a second opinion. They were within dollars of each other, so I went ahead with the service. I was a little annoyed with the oil change thing, but they seem honest enough and their price was competitive with the shop down the street. Given the good location and my experience so far, I'd go back. FYI, I cant speak to wait times, I work near here so I can leave it, walk to work and come back at the end of the day. read more

The manager, Marcos Acosta, goes the extra mile to pull the wool over your eyes. I went in for a rear brake pad&rotor replacement on my BMW 528i. I asked for all OEM parts. Acosta assured me that all parts are original BMW. I was surprised at the lower price and asked him is he sure everything is OEM and he said yes. When I came to pick up my vehicle I asked to see the invoice and the guy said that the bill does not print until I pay for it, I can only see the tech's notes. I asked again if everything is OEM, and he said yes. (I found out later that it is illegal to not show the bill before payment) After I paid and I saw the invoice, the rotors were Carquest rotors that are $50 at Advanced Auto Parts and Acosta charged me $97 for each rotor. After a heated dispute Acosta did not care about my experience and told me to pay the overage if I wanted to get the BMW rotors. Disputed the charge with my credit card company, never again using Firestone. read more

Today, I had an appointment for three services that would typically take an hour or two on a busy day. But the guy said it would take five hours because they were busy and couldn't honor my appointment. What is the point of an appointment. Oh, and they didn't bother to let me know that was the case prior to me completely wasting my time in getting there. My tire pressure was low due to the change in the weather and I arrived at Firestone with no appointment 10 minutes before they were closing at 7 o'clock to get air in my tires. Not only did they accommodate me for this, the technician noticed that I had a nail in one tire and that I needed a new tire. Marco, the manager, not only put a new tire on, but also noticed that I needed another new tire and put the other one on even though it was well after closing. I had a trip to make the next day of a couple hundred miles and Marco wanted to make sure that I made that trip safely, so he was willing to stay open in order to get the work done. A customer for three years but when I questioned the veracity of prepaying for full service days before the ordered part would arrive, I was told to "take your keys, come back or don't and have nice life." The manager told me this after telling me I had to pay the full $600 for services I would not receive for 3 days and during which time I could not drive my vehicle. Customer service not great and it's kinda dirty inside. Took about 2 hours for an oil change when I had an appointment scheduled a week in advance. The workers there were cussing under their breath etc., about work - which I totally understand, don't get me wrong... I just don't want to hear drama. Worst thing about it was - a few days later, my oil was leaking bad, like completely out and come to find out - they forgot to put a piece back on. This oil check cost me $70 at another mechanic.
