One August 14th 2024 I drove my car to Tire outlet for a battery change. They told me they had to order the battery so I left it overnight. The next day I did not hear from them, so I decided to go to them in person around 4:30pm. When I arrived they told me when they tried to start my car after replacing the batteries the light on the dashboard were lighting up and they think I have a Faulty body control module. They told me there was nothing else they could do because the dealership had to reprogram my car. My car had no power at all. I couldn't even drive my car. A jump would not even power my car up. I then had to get it towed to my home. I waited almost two weeks before having my car towed to the dealership, because tire outlets corporate office said they would get my car fix at another one of their locations. They never did that, instead after going back and forth with them they said they couldn't fix it. I then had my vehicle towed on August 27th to the dealership. The dealership ran a diagnostic and found that the main power fuse array was blown when tire outlet was replacing my batteries. I had to pay $1605.73. Tire outlet lied and said I had a faulty body control module but they blew my fuse in my car. I want them to pay for the issue they caused on my car.

When I took it to a front end specialist in he said the problem wasn't with the front end but with the tires. The tires that were put on were not designed for the weight of this RV. When I went to Direct tire in Jacksonville FL, which is the only place we buy tires across the country, we were told there was no warranty on wear, despite purchasing them only 13 months ago. We agreed to get new tires with no adjustment and were told they couldn't tell me how long the wait was because it was a major job. After two hours waiting I went back and was told it would be at least another hour before they could get me in and another hour or so after that. We gave up and left. After all our years committed to Direct Tire and American Tire up north we are considering buying our tires somewhere else in the future. Your saying that "we treat our customers like we want to be treated" fell well short with us.

I was charged almost $400 and told the issue was fixed. About 10 miles after leaving, my car started running hot. I immediately called the shop and was told, "That's strange, it didn't run hot when you brought it in." I had the car towed back. Three days later, I was told the car was ready. When I arrived to pick it up, the car would not start, which has never been an issue before. Again, I was told, "That's strange, it started when I drove it this morning." While driving the car home--less than 10 minutes from the shop--the vehicle began producing heavy white smoke, which I later learned indicates a blown head gasket. My car was returned to me in much worse condition than when I brought it in. I'm not sure what was done to my vehicle, but based on my experience, I strongly recommend doing your homework and getting a second opinion before taking your car here.

Told me it was a simple valve cover charged me over $500 and sent me on my way. I still smell oil burning after the repairs so the next day I check the oil in my car and it is again two quarts low like no oil on the dipstick. They made and charged me for the wrong repair. They charged me another $600 to fix this problem even though I already paid $500 for a valve cover that never needed to be replaced in the first place. They also damaged the undercarriage of my car jacking it up on the lift I even have photos. All in all going to the shop at $500 repair cost me over $1,000 of their incompetence.
