I have been a customer of tire world for about the last 10 years and Patty and her group of mechanics are great, honest people. I recently took my car in for an oil change and brake pad replacement. After they had finished the oil change, Patty came up to me and asked what the car was doing under brakes to make me think that I needed to have the pads replaced. I explained what was occurring and she told me that her mechanic said that the brake pads still had about 45% left and that there was really no need for a brake replacement at this time. Talk about a life saver. My daughter and I were on our way for her to take her driving test. She pulled out of school from a steep incline and her car's bottom plate hit the bottom becoming loose dragging. I started looking up shops on the way to her test and found Tire World. I told them my dilemma and her appointment was in 20 minutes. They came through in a big way took her car immediately fixed it in less then 10 minutes. never had an issue until today. I got an oil change and my oil was a little dirty (1st time ever). But fast forward... I'm driving home and all of a sudden my car had a burning smell and started smoking. so when I got home I opened my hood and oil was everywhere and all over my parts. I'm so livid right now because I've spent over 2k getting work done, all my hoses and what not replaced now everything covered in oil. So I drove down there this morning to find out what would be involved to replace the seal (around the glass) on an old Acura I drive. Been coming here for a few years since they are within walking distance...and the work seems to be ok. This last time I had my rack and pinion replaced on my mustang. As soon as I drove it, I noticed when I would make a turn it would make a scraping sound near the tires. I'm not a mechanic but how did they not notice this sound when test driving it. They were very good about admitting that they installed the wrong part and took it back and installed the correct rack and pinion part. It would have been nice to have been fixed right the first time. I had also recommended them to my son for an oil change prior to the rack and pinion issue. They dinged the side of his car and didn't take responsibility for it. Not much we could do about that...needless to say ...my son never returned and I always keep a watchful eye when I use them. read more
