I know view to do this but my parents would not have which means I don't know I could recommend for everyone. They had to order my tires so my car was in there most of the day. Their prices are much better then the franchise stores and I take my car back every 5k miles for the free tire rotation. I have never before been so un satisfied with any service I have ever received at any shop since I began driving 20 years ago. The staff is rude, inconsiderate, and condescending. I dropped of my vehicle on a Thursday and was told a part was ordered and would be ready the next day. I waited all day with no call. Finally at 5:20, 10 minutes before they close I was told the part they ordered was damaged and it would not be ready. I stressed how important it was that I have my vehicle for work and was basically told "oh well, sorry about your luck, it will be ready Monday". So when Monday came and almost went I decided to call them and ask what the status was with my vehicle. Again with a very "screw you" attitude I was told it would not be ready till Tuesday. Tuesday comes and I get a call telling me the price was almost $100 over the quote I originally got. How can this be I ask, "well we didn't include tax on the original quote". ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!?? Do your self a favor, stay clear of tire word!!! It is by far one of the worst establishments I have ever been to!! This was my first experience with Tire World. I needed new tires. I contacted many other tire shops relatively close to or within the perimeter of Town and Country. There are many options--too many, if you ask me. Many of the staff at these locations sounded knowledgeable about tires, but I sensed they lacked in customer service skills. To make this more challenging, prices were all over the board and it was difficult to compare "apples to apples" because no two shops offered the same brands of tires. The services themselves (installation, alignment, etc.) were easy to compare, though. What made Tire World different was Patti. On the phone, she was pleasant, friendly, and patient. She answered all of my questions about the specifications of the tires, the costs included, warranty information, and estimated times. The prices were reasonable, affordable, and within my budget. Patti helped me find a set of tires that were durable and a good value. I was able to validate her opinion of the tires with those of other reviewers on independent websites like Consumer Reports, which increased my confidence. Right before agreeing to a price, Patti mentioned they were offering discounts to anyone in the healthcare industry on the day I was planning to bring in my car. As a hospital employee, I got an extra 10% off! Unfortunately, they didn't have the tires in I stock and needed to order them. Patti assured me they would be delivered the next day and they were. My car was finished in a few hours with no issues. I've driven on the tires only a couple of days, so I can't testify to their longevity, quality, or performance yet. Keeping fingers crossed that I made a good purchase. My only other feedback would be the quality and appearance of the service station and waiting area are inconsistent with the high level of service the staff provides. Both are disheveled. The waiting chairs all are worn and need to be replaced. It's not the kind of place you would want to wait for a long period. Poor lighting, not welcoming, not clean, and the office, which had its door left open, was visually messy and disorganized. I realize I was at a garage, but I didn't want it to look like I was in one. They do offer free WiFi, but I wouldn't want to try to work from that location. There are no tables. There's a Starbucks within walking distance, though. The service from the staff was excellent and exceeded my expectations. However, I would suggest updating your waiting area to create a higher level of service for your customers. Would I recommend Tire World? Yes, with one reservation, that being the appearance of the customer waiting area. read more

The last time I was in, they misdiagnosed a problem. They replaced a part, thinking it would resolve my problem. It did not. They wound up directing me to the dealer, who diagnosed and corrected my issue. I returned to Tire World where they quickly removed the parts they had installed, reinstalled my old parts, and completely refunded my money. This is how you are supposed to do business. If you're thinking about having any other service besides tire repair; RUN, DRIVE, or TOW your car somewhere else!!! I took my wife's car in for a nail in her tire, an oil change, & to check the brake lights (they weren't working). We dropped it off before 2p. They called a little after 4 saying it was ready. When I asked about the brake lights, there was about a 10 second pause. Then a "let me check"; after about 3 minutes the secretary told me they would need about another 15 minutes. Which tells me they didn't bother looking into it; Which Is A Big Deal, because you need your brake lights to work!!! I received a call after 5p, saying that 3 different mechanics looked at the brake lights & couldn't figure out how to change the bulb. I thought it was a joke...how many mechanics does it take to change a brake bulb? The answer should have been one! I was told that I could leave it overnight, or take it to a dealership. My wife needs her car to go to work everyday. I asked if they had checked to see if it could be a fuse or a connection between the brake pedal & the sensor; (I had googled brake problems). The answer was I'm not sure, but 3 mechanics tried to fix the brake light problem & were unsuccessful & they were closing, so I needed to come get my car (in rush hour traffic) or leave it overnight in their parking lot, unprotected. I chose to go get it. Upon looking at the brake lights myself, I couldn't understand why they couldn't change out the bulb. I pulled the light panel off on the back of the tailgate that lifts up, located the brake bulb, twisted it 1/4 turn & the bulb & assembly came right out. I checked the other side & it came out, no problem. I could see the bulb was burned out. I checked to see where else the 3 mechanics were working on with screwdrivers, which weren't needed to change this brake bulb. I noticed scratch marks on the area you would change the side lights which come on when you turn on your headlights. (Both side lights were working.) I proceeded to drive to Auto Zone, buy 2 bulbs, replace the burned out bulb, checked the brake fuse & connection from the brake pedal to the sensor, & VOILA! The brake lights were working again!!! It took me less than 1 hour & I'm not mechanically inclined, but I can change a light bulb or in this case, a brake bulb. I called Rick (Richard), the owner the next day to find out what happened. He said he'd heard about the problem & would look into it. He didn't call me back. I called back a few hours later to explain what I had done to fix the problem & (sarcastically) offered to come down & show these 3 fine mechanics my expertise on how to changed a brake bulb & how to google something if your stumped. He didn't take me up on my offer. To make matters worse, the tire sensor light was still on! I checked the tire & the nail was removed & a plug put it, but the tire pressure was under 28 lbs. Are You Kidding Me? I had to go to the gas station & inflate my "repaired" tire to the proper pressure. I'm hoping they actually changed the oil filter & put in synthetic oil, which is required since that's what we've done since we bought the car. One final complaint, about 3 years ago I took my wife's car there to have the brake pads replaced & the rotors turned. A day after getting the car back, my wife was heading to work, hit the brakes & the brake pedal went to the floor, she almost smashed into the car in front of her. We took it back to have it checked out. We dropped it off around 4p. They called around 5:30 on a Friday night to say they weren't able to look at it because the brake pads were too hot. Really??? There's no way they were that hot! She drove from Moffitt to Tire World on 40th, going 30 miles an hour because she was afraid of not being able to stop. I took it to a friend who's worked as a mechanic for over 25 years, he looked at it & it was his opinion that when they bled the brake line they forced the brake fluid through it & blew out the brake booster. He couldn't get a new brake booster on Saturday. I took it to brake world & they felt the same way. Rick's (Richard's) response was that it was coincidental, He did agree not to charge us for the labor on the "brake job" they preformed. The brake booster cost over $600 to replace. In view of these 2 incidents & several other minor issues over the years, We Are No Longer Customers of Tire World. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years & have had 7 cars serviced over the years but No More! Where is the Owner Loyalty & professional mechanical expertise? Not at Tire World!!! So unless you want to have additional issues after you have your car "repaired"; I recommend that you Run, Drive, or Tow your car elsewhere! Brad Mc read more

Service was excellent. They did not have my tire size in stock on-site, which was a little disappointing, but they ordered them, and had them later that afternoon. When I went back to the shop to have the tires installed, it took them about 20 minutes. No surprise charges or attempts to upsell me on products or services I may or may not have needed. The price was as advertised. Ultimately, the experience was much better than I have had at some of the better known companies in the area. Absolutely will go back when I need tires again. read more

Great service! I brought my car in about a month ago to have new tires (purchased elsewhere) put on the car. I went in on a Saturday morning without any appointment and they had my car done in just a couple of hours. The only issue was that my tires were not properly balanced so I was getting a vibration in my steering wheel, but I brought the car back (again, no appointment on a Saturday morning) and they took care of it at no charge in about a half hour. This place was horrible. My car has been using synthetic oil from the moment it was made. This place out regular oil and now my car is having tons of problems. My warranty doesn't cover this since obviously the wrong oil was used. This place is not taking responsibility for sticking some generic oil instead of the proper synthetic. They say I should've brought my own oil if i needed something special. I didn't need anything "special" just synthetic oil which is used in thousands of cars being made. This place is the worst. I took a car to them with a perfectly working ac system that had a small leak. When charged it blew ice cold. They took the system apart to repair the leaking compressor seal then gave me the car back with NO AC. Went back inside told them and they checked it again. Now I have a blocked orphis valve. I wonder how that happened, then had the nerve to try and charge me $500 to fix their mistake on top of the $250 I just paid for them to ruin my ac system... Everyone steer clear, their a tire shop nothing more, dont let them work on your car... EVER!!!!! read more

I've been a loyal customer for over 16 years and really never had a problem like the one I recently had. I needed my car repaired, dropped it off at 9:30 am. They called and said there was another problem they discovered. I told them to go ahead and fix that also since they had the car. Around 2:00 pm I called about my car if it was ready. They told me yes. Well, to my amazement I asked where my car was and keys. Could not locate them. Then after 10 minutes, they said the car was being worked on. REALLY!!! So they never had it done and had to wait 2 hours for them to finish the job. When I asked what was going on, they said they were busy. Well, so am I and I wasn't able to get back to work. What an expensive and lost of a day. No apologies, no compensation just avoidance. Customer Service has gone down hill. Not sure if I'll be back with also the info given to me about my tires, which I bought there. That a used tire is only guaranteed for a week. Never Never was ever told that. And the other 3 that I bought 2 1/2 years ago were also needed to be replaced. Going somewhere else. read more
