I blew out one of my almost new winter tires in December. When I was looking around for a replacement they were out of stock everywhere (new). But this site came up and had my tire with 80-90% tread for $76 shipped! This is a $200 tire new. I have never bought a used tire before. The tire was indeed repaired (professionally looked like it had a nail in it and that was fixed). It is not a big deal because a professional repair is pretty much as good as new. But to pay about 40% off the cost of the tire and get it shipped to my house free the next day was very nice. Turned a $200 pothole to much cheaper. You get what you pay for so don't expect a nearly new tire flawless tire for a fraction of the cost of a new one. I got the set of 235/60R17 of LION SPORT. When I did the order said blemish ( cosmetics defect s ) but what I found it in 3 of them is not cosmetic, is some big bumps on the tires. Make sure you know what the result of "patch/plug" method looks like I took the tire to American Tire co to be installed. However, they don't want to take a responsibility of the driver's safety to install that tire. So I don't want to risk anything and order new tire from Amazon. On their website, there is a explanation of Repairing with a "patch/plug" is the only RMA (Rubber Manufacturers Association) approved way to repair a tire. I don't know how the result looks like until I received it. There is a patch in the tire. So I suggest it will be nice if they can post photos of the selling tires showing how the result of patch/plug" method looks like, then let buyers decide to buy it or not rather than confusion caused after receiving the tires. I'm giving one star for having a response team. I got my emails answered, but no help. They claim their tires are checked and up to standards, but they are lying! Just took two cooper tires to pep boys to install, tire had a patch inside which is supposedly in their disclosure, but buying a tire with the highest thread I was trying to avoid having a defect. Before they are mounted the mechanic shows me that the tire is not perfectly round since it's been sitting somewhere flat, it had weak spots. Have nothing but good and bad to say. Good in prices, shipping and overall quality of products. Bad in service of customer support. Average call wait time 2 hours. Once 4 hours of waiting, finally I hung up. Bought one hundred tires or so and no issues. Last 4 of them had two with sidewall holes (pinholes). Half a dozen attempts at calling I finally got a goldfish to talk to. She (a female goldfish) told me I needed to prove the problem by taking a video of the bubbles in water. That means pay 40.00 to remount them, take a video, 40.00 more to unmount and remount old tires. Spent 80.00 doing that already. Otherwise I am SOL. What do you all think? But about their 90 day satisfaction warranty? Why would they dump a 100 tire customer for 2 bad tires? I'M NOT DEAD YET, SO THAT'S GOOD. I don't have a lot of extra money and needed to replace a couple tires that were practically bald on my 2011 Camaro. I found bestusedtires.com and purchased 2 tires for a total of $81 that usually run for about $230 per tire new (Goodyear Eagles). Both were at about half life, no patches, tread looked pretty good. So I spent a total of $121 on tires ($40 additional to get them mounted) for now versus the $500 or more it would have cost for the cheapest 4 new tires on the market (Camaro tires are expensive). Picked it up from the shop and drove about 300 miles on them this weekend. I'm a very happy customer at the moment. I would definitely recommend bestusedtires.com if you need to replace a tire or two and can't afford or don't want to pay for 4 new ones (2 of my tires are at about half life thankfully). Judging from the other reviews on here, it could be risky to get all 4 of your tires from the site. I went in thinking it was a 50/50 chance that the tires I ordered would have some sort of defect, especially considering I was paying less than 20% of what they would cost new. The tires came pretty quickly and I was happy plus excited to put them on. I did notice a patch on inse of one of the tires but thought nothing of it. I had them put on by dealership in the city, but before I got home the tire pressure light had already came on mid drive. I attempted to fill with air which was fine, but by morning the tire was low again. I understand they are used tires but expected to have been examined thoroughly prior to shipment. NO STARS. They sent a tire that had a baseball size repair and caramelized tread. This was for my daughter's car that would be driven on sub-zero temp highways at high speeds. This dad wasn't about to risk it. I requested a return label; BUTires REQUIRED I get an authorized tire expert to confirm my concerns. That appointment and work missed would have cost more than the tire itself ($75). I've been unable to convince them to take the tire back for over a year. They lie about their customer reviews, too. I ordered a pair of Pirelli tires that seemed almost new, and looked great when they arrived (even still had the little rubber hair things on them). I had them installed soon after, and was so happy to have good tires. However, I noticed, within the first few weeks that they seemed to be wearing quickly - I figured it was just an illusion of the tires losing their "new" look and no big deal. Fast forward less than 3 months, just 6000 miles later - the tires are completely bald! I emailed them with photos of my tires from different angles, speedometer readings, proofs of dates etc. They took forever to respond, and I had to go back and forth with them. Instead of making the situation right, they said that the wear could not have been caused by natural/legitimate damage, and basically a bunch of other phrases in the tone that it was from my actions of negligence or purposeful tampering. They kept mentioning some kind of "coupon codes" or "credit" but never gave me numbers. You might order and get decent tires from them, but it seems that there is not much in the way of reliability from their products or their customer service. read more

Very Long but informative) Due to a collision with an object on the road, we need to replace two front tires on our Traverse. The tires that are in the rear are Pirellis. I could just put a cheaper brand tire on the car and call it a day, but I would rather keep all of the tires matching. New Pirellis are pretty expensive and we can't afford to buy brand new ones right now, so I decided to give this company a try. I found two matching Pirellis that were "take-offs" with 11/32 tire life. This is a pretty good find. The price was decent so I purchased them. I made arrangements to be without a car for a few days and had our vehicle towed to a local shop who would install the tires once they arrived. (Even with a tow and install, I would still be saving almost $350 over buying new matching Pirellis from a shop). I received a phone call and email one day after the purchase from the company. I was told that the tires I purchased were no longer available, and no other Pirellis were in stock for substitution. I asked for something comparable in price, but there was nothing available or similar in quality in comparison to the tires I purchased. Due to my car already being at the shop, I asked for a refund so I can buy tires elsewhere and get the car on the road. I was then informed that a refund would take 3 business days for me to receive my funds. This didn't help my situation, as I needed the money to purchase a replacement immediately. I was upset, but I understood. I rolled the dice when I ordered online anyway. So, I decided instead of waiting for a refund, I would ask them to just substitute a cheap new set of generic brand tires so I can meet my deadline and have my wife's car back on the road for the weekend. This is where everything goes even further down hill. The tires that were substituted did arrive on the day promised. Unfortunately, they were the wrong sized tire. I was sent 19" tires instead of 20" like I need. This was not welcomed news whatsoever. I was not able to get my car fixed. I called BestUsedTires immediately, thinking that I would tell them what happened and that they would overnight the correct set to me for Saturday. Wrong. I was not able to reach anyone on Friday. (yes, they were still open). I was not able to reach anyone on Saturday either!!! I spent over three hours on hold that day!!! I sent numerous emails without response (with screenshots of my hold time on phone!). In fact, I didn't hear back from anyone until late Monday morning, when I finally got through to them! When I spoke to Danny, I was upset. but I was not rude and I did not direct any anger towards him personally over this situation. Although he did apologize, and was very polite, he wasn't able to make the situation better. I simply asked for Danny to send me the correct tire immediately, as we were now without a car and paying for UBER rides back and forth to work and kids practices. He stated that he could not, because they didn't have the set of replacement tires I purchased in stock. Unbelievable. Instead of just upgrading me to a better pair of tires in stock, he only offered to replace the wrong shipment with an even cheaper generic brand of tire that we originally agreed upon! Reluctantly, I agreed to accept the now 3rd pair of tires as well as provide him with photos of the incorrect tires to be returned. It was my assumption that he would be shipping out the new tires to me while I dropped off the incorrect tires at Fed Ex for return. I supplied photos and sent their product back as agreed. This was Monday. I emailed them on Tuesday to confirm shipping and asked for a tracking number for my new tires. I received no reply. I emailed the company again today, asking for the tracking number for my order so I can arrange my repairs. I received an email back that stated the correct sized tires will not be shipped to me until they are able to trace their set of incorrect sized tires coming back. You have got to be kidding me, right? I sent photos. I sent the tracking number. You mean to tell me that they couldn't even attempt to make this situation even a little better by at least shipping me out the correct tires so I can get my car fixed? I sent a follow up email once more, with the tracking number AND screenshot of the Fed Ex shipment in progress. I also asked to be given the number or email address of a supervisor / manager or owner so I can make them aware of this experience. The reply I was given... "Hello. Thank you for reaching out. We are really sorry for this inconvenience. We shipped your tires today and we are just waiting for FedEx scans and we send you a tracking number. If you have any questions please let us know. Danny P. Customer Service Representative." No Manager contact info, no real tracking info, no customer service. I would advise anyone to stay FAR away from this company. If there was a zero star review I would give it. VERY WORST USED TIRES! Their website says "no risk buying" AND "no hassle returns" AND "90 days-money back guarantee". NOTHING could be further from the truth. I purchased a set of new tires from them, which they advertise as " blemished" (meaning only cosmetic defects). After paying to have them put on and then a second rebalancing because of vibrations and road noise I learned that the issues was that the treads was defective. That's when the fun started. They wanted me to take the tires off the car and send it back to them for them to "inspect" before they would issue me a second set of tires. Even though I got something from the local tire shop (at their request) stating that the treads were defective. I told him that this is our family car and that we couldn't be without a car while they were figuring out what to do and I suggested they simply just send me a replacement tires and I would ship the old ones back. They refused to do this. The guy who told me to get the statement from the tire shop, which was not useful in the end, also told me that they had problems with this particular brand of tire being defective. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. They sold me tires that they knew had problems and then refused to abide by their promises. THAT IS SO WRONG! If you have a problem you will be in trouble. The used tire had a plug in it, which I was told by the tire shop where I had it installed should never be done as a permanent fix.
