ive spent literally $100 on tires here in the short span of about a month. and you would think " Oh for some used tires? thats not bad!" Well that money was spent on one back tire....3 times... first time was just blown out. the second one of them being only on for three days before blowing out. The third time, they changed it out and "gave me a deal" and only charged me 20 bucks, but that was because the owner wasnt there and saw the guy who changed it pocket the money. Now you guessed the tire has BLOWN AGAIN. Showed my friend who is a mechanic and showed me how the tire has been re-treaded! WHICH IS SO DANGEROUS! ESPECIALLY BECAUSE IT WAS RAINING WHEN IT BLEW OUT ON THE FREEWAT! im honestly sad because they were so nice, but i guess when you have a customer coming in for a product that your selling as a good when it really isnt, youd be nice too. Twelve years ago I needed new tires for my 2007 e250 van. Having three vans on the road at the time for my business the maintenance , alignment, etc. Was getting significant. In Ventura, the cheapest price for load range tires was almost one hundred a piece, and that was with a paid membership at a club store. After whining about the price to a friend, he said ,( you need to see Stan the man!) So after calling for an appointment, I made the trip to l.a. ,as I needed to pick up a prop in Wilmington anyway. Thinking I might save a few bucks, I prepared myself for a long wait at a hot, dirty shop. The savings of over 200.00 was just part of the good experience. At the time Stan was getting commercial tires from the port district that for what ever reason had to be taken off the imports coming into the u.s. these were brand new tires. That had seen a boat ride. Stan sold me 4 b.f.g load range 10 ply multi-purpose tires for $50 a piece. No waiting at a clean friendly shop. Within the time it took to finish my cup of coffee, my tires were mounted , balanced and I was back on my way. I have since purchased all my commercial vehicle tires and personal vehicle tires from Stan and have always experienced the same great service with absolutely no problems. I ran over something and my tire went flat. The tow person said I would have to get a new rim. I contacted a chain store and it would have been 300 for a new rim and one tire. Stan recommended a place to get the rim much cheaper, but said come over so we can look at it. The rim had minimal damage that they fixed and I bought two used tires that were in impeccable condition and was out the door for 60 bucks. Took my pathfinder there last yrs for an alignment...... Told i was next and literally sat there for hrs. When they did do the alignment well my steering wheel wasnt straight. I think they forgot to straighten the wheel when doing the alignment. But how my truck now had a pull to the right i dont know.I had bought new tires elsewhere because i got a better deal but drove from that shop to Stans for the alignment.........SO LETS GO TO YESTERDAY. I took my yukon there yesterday (somebody slap me) to have it aligned. Got there the was one van on the alignment machine. Alfredo says that i am next. Mine you this is the same guy who told me that 5 times last time i was there. So im sitting there for a hr and twelve minutes before they are done with the van that they finish,drive and bring back on the machine. Waiting i see another car pull up and start talking to Alfredo. When they are done with the van the guy doing the alignments ask am i next. Yes that's what he said. He asked Alfredo right in front of me and he points to the other car. He comes up and tells me it took a hr to fix the van . Well no shit, ive been sitting here waiting. So because it took long someone else is next? I went to get my $ back from Stan. He walks out and asked Alfredo what happened he wrote me up awhile ago. Alfredos response, it took a hr to do the van. Thats not even logical. So Stan asked am i next he says yes but looks pissed that i said something. I wont take the chance of them taking revenge on my alignment or them waisting more of my time putting ppl in front of me. Don't come here if you have an indirect tire pressure monitoring system in your car... they don't know how to fix it correctly! Got my tire replaced here and the tire pressure light turned on shortly after, went back and they "recalibrated" it, only for the light to turn on again after ~10miles. I called Stan on Sunday night needing some run-flat tires. Everywhere else I called that was still open did not have any in stock and could not for at least 3-5 days. Stan didn't have any in stock right then, but he told me to check back with him in the morning. I called back the next morning and spoke with Jose Rosario who was able to order some run flat tires and have them in the shop within hours. They let me get my car towed there before the tires would be ready. I got there 30 minutes early and the tires were ready to get put on. They were SO FAST. I was out of there in 20 minutes with 2 new tires at the lowest quoted price I could find. They also have great deals on Tire rotations ($10) and Alignments (only $40).
